It seems that there are some apps that are not showing up in my market place.Specifically, I can't find iTag or Radio Paradise Widget.I have tried searching in a bunch of different ways, but it seems like they are just missing from the market.Any ideas why or what I can do about it?

There's been a lot of talk amongst the group regarding Android 2.1. It's now been (kinda-sorta) out for about a month, and many of you have had a chance to thoroughly examine it and see what it can do, and how well it works.
I'm still at CL14, and I plan to wait until the official release (whenever that finally ends up happening).
Of all of the new bells and whistles, fixes, etc., my top priority is radio stability. For those testing 2.1, do you find the phone to be more stable? Does CDMA still lock up and force you to reboot, or has that finally been fixed?
Is it possible to turn on the 802.11 wireless, while keeping the phone radio turned off?
I was recently on an airplane that had WiFi wireless connectivity (Delta using GoGo). I had my Moment and wanted to try it out. The problem is that the only way I could find to turn off the cell radio, as required by the FAA, is by putting the phone into "Airplane Mode". But, in Airplane mode, I could not get the WiFi to turn on.
So, what I really wanted was not "Airplane mode" but WiFi on and Cell Radio turned off. But I could not figure out any way to do that. Is it possible?
When I am at school I can barely get a signal. I constantly get notifications for going in and out of service and it's MURDERING my battery! So I was wondering if anyone knows how to completely disable my cellphone usage WITHOUT disabling wifi?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter playing pandora, slacker or using other data intensive apps the radio locks up. The up arrow just sticks and the only recourse is to restart the phone. Anyone else experiencing this? I did find if I turn off bluetooth and wifi(even though im not using it) it doesn't seem to happen nearly as often. Maybe its a heat issue?

For some reason, using the regular browser, I can't get google.com to open up in English. I think it's opening in French.
Google appears to know that I'm located in Kansas. I believe I've tried about everything I can think of with regard to browser settings, google's settings... tried to clear all the history, cookies, cache... performed "reset to default"... every time I go to Google it comes up in French. There's a link, of course, to get it in English. But it's infuriating that it won't just come up in English.
Anybody had something like this? Alternatively, anybody have thoughts on why it might be happening?
I've not installed many apps. Skreebl, Handcent, a date widget and a battery widget are all I've got going right now. I'm thinking that a complete "Factory data reset" is in order, but I'd hate to lose the stuff on my SD card (mp3s, wallpapers). I have not researched - those things may not be affected by a Factory data reset.
All these default Android ringers are too singy-songy or musical. I miss the ringers my old flip phones had that, you know, sounded like a phone ringing. Anyone know where I can find, say, a Samsung or Sanyo ringer pack? Or a bunch of standard cell phone ringers? I've searched the android market and several apps therein and can't find what i'm looking for.
View 11 Replies View RelatedEverytime I try to download an app it goes to download and I see the download bar but upon checking notifications find Download Unsuccessful waiting for me. To top it off my apps have updates avail that will not load either.
I never rooted the phone and had no problems up till now Yes I turned off power and removed the battery to reset..
Have any of you fellow Samsung Moment owners located the new Koba eReader app in the Android Marketplace, and dowloaded it?
I can't find it in the marketplace. Not when I search for "Kobo," not when I search for "e-reader" or "ereader." And way too much comes up when I search for "e-book" or "ebook" (tons of individual ebooks come up).
Some other users of Android Forum have posted comments about the Kobo eReader, but I just can't seem to locate it.
My husband and I have moments. We both text quite a bit and for some reason, on his phone when you start typing a name in the "to" field of the text message, it does not give the option of choosing from matching contacts. But mine does. Is there a setting that I need to change? Anyone having the same issue?

I recently installed a (paid) homescreen app called GDE from a guy at XDA developers. It's wonderful, and gives me a choice of the number of homescreens, transition type, and whether the sequence of screens loops or not (appears endless) It works well and is very smooth. I use the box transitions and it's very impressive.
Back to the icons, which will be of interest to anyone who replaces their homescreen app. When I installed GDE, I was basically given 5 blank homescreens. All my shortcuts were gone and had to be re-installed.
Not so bad, because it gave me a chance to re-organize my device. But, I couldn't find my CNN, ESPN, Facebook icons. That's when I started this post, because I thought they were apps, they are not, they are browser favorite shortcuts on the homescreen.
So, if any of you replace your home app and want to restore these, just open your browser, go to favorites, and long hold on the shortcuts you want to install on home.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI really like the layout and design of the Beautiul widgets home weather but the weather is off by like 10 degrees now for some unknown reason. When i first was using it it was accurate. So I installed weatherbug elite and i like it in combination with a clock widget buuuuuttttt for some reason no matter what i do in the settings it doesent always update its self ON THE WIDGET unless i click on the widget and open the app. It does sometimes but not always.
Anyways what is everybodys favorite? Is there anything comparible to Beautiful Widgets weather but with accurate temp and forecast?
I was looking for a good weather app/widget with a clock.

View 6 Replies View RelatedPandora on my phone sucks. It skips and clicks and jams up all the time. I've even force closed, then un-installed, then re-installed it, and I still have the same problems. My brother has a Droid and he says he uses Slacker all the time on his phone so I decided to try it.. It works PERFECTLY! No more skips and horrible noises while I try to listen to the radio on my phone and it works in the same concept as Pandora.
I just wanted to share this with anyone that has the same issues that I have with Pandora and really would like to be able to listen to the radio on their Moment. BTW, i thought that it would use a lot of battery, but it really doesn't seem to. I also got a little cable on ebay that has two male ends like a headphone jack. I plug one end into the headphone hole on my phone and the other end into the "aux" hole in my truck, and it works GREAT through my truck's stereo system.

Have been searching in Market for a couple of days and don't find! Searched here and only find instructions for adding shortcuts to contacts onto the desktop (which I guess could work, but doesn't look anywhere near as cool!). Anyone heard of anything good?

I've now had and used my Samsung Moment for a full month now, and I have to say this is the best phone I have ever used.
I carry multiple smartphones on me, usually a Blackberry of some sort, Palm Treos / Centros, iPhone, and now my Samsung Moment. While all the smartphones are really good, the Samsung Moment has been really great.
Despite all the complaints you read here, I have only had a couple of minor annoyances:
1. The Google Calendar widget doesn't default to the current day when you click on it. I have accidentally entered appointments for "today" when I realize a bit later that it was on another day that I had scrolled to previously. I hope there will be a setting to always display the current day in the future.
2. I use Astrid to sync my to do list with Remember The Milk. Anytime I add a new task if I'm using the physical keyboard, and slide it shut and go to the portrait mode for the virtual keyboard, somehow my text is wiped clean and I have to start from scratch again.
The battery life is excellent. Based on my moderate use, I easily get 2-3 days out of my phone, which is as good as my Palm Centro or my Blackberries.So glad I have this phone, can't wait for future updates though to play with.

I have a nandroid backup of several roms where I had it installed, can I copy it over to this ROM somehow? And why can't it install it? Is it protected?

I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. There are no scratches or rub marks on it, never been dropped and I have reset it to Factory Specs via the SECURITY MENU and the ESN is clear and ready to be activated on your SPRINT account.Please email me at sy@rayzel.com if you are interested.
