Samsung Moment :: Freezing - Force Closing - Not Booting

Yesterday morning my phone started freezing..It always freezes but like real bad so i took the battery out and put it back in and turned it on and it went all the way to the screen where samsung is across it and black in the background and stayed there for 20 minutes and it wouldnt boot past that so i did it again and this time it stayed there for 40 minutes so i called technical support and they refreshed my device and that didnt work so they said to bring it to a store to have it checked out...
I have done this before and all they did was reset the whole phone so i didnt wanna waste my time waiting for the phone to be ready to be picked up so i did a hard reset myself and wiped the cache.It is force closing everythng and still freezes..Is there anything else i can do or am i going to be forced to go to the store?.....

My voice search is force closing today. Are any of you having problems with this today? Please let me know either way since I don't want to reflash everything (lazy) if I don't have to. I'm having issues with youtube - either during playback or after the playback is completed, when I hit menu, press back or select another video it's force closing on me. Anyone else? I hope it's not a one off case. Maybe I have too much stuff on my phone and something is conflicting.

Well...I updated to DE03...and *love* it...with a couple of exceptions....
First, I seem to be missing my Voicemail app. The phone works...but there is *no* indicatoin of any voicemails.... unless, of course, I dial my own number....at which point the pleasant voice says: "You have 15 new voicemails...First new voicemail..."
So...what did I *fail* to install? (and yes...I'm using the basic phone dialer...nothing fancy...and BTW...my Contacts are fine...)
And second...my Calendar App seems to be messed-up...the Icon is there...but when i open it...it force-closes immediately.
Third...i seem to have issues with my GPS...perhaps The Navigator is greedy...but it seems that something in my GPS doesn't like to share...if i try and use two different apps that utilize GPS...it stops working, and i have to reboot to get the GPS to function again.
Lastly...i seem to get a black-screen lockup for no discernable reason....pulling the battery fixes it...but that is (obviously) pretty annoying.

I was trying to view a regular PC version of a site and somebody in a comment said its easier to fake a User Agent through about:debug so I did and no since I changed it to desktop it wont open and force closes. I saved a log of the crash if you guys want to see it. I just came from the iPhone world so this stuff is a tad different.

i got the phone i have not used the stock launcher, i've always used launcher pro, but today i started having force closes, i have turned the phone off, done a battery pull, uninstalled and installed again. But i am still having force closes, i have not even been able to run launcherpro, i just get a black screen and a force close. Any tips on what to do will be helpful, i tried ADW and dont like it very much, i am using stock right now.

When I am having a conversation thread and I am responding, I open settings, attach, from camera, take a picture, and hit save. Once I hit save, Handcent force closes. I have tried to uninstall it and re-install it. I tried the same thing on the stock app and at first it didn't work but then I went into rom manager and went into JT's stuff and downloaded the stock MMS.apk, that did the trick for the stock messaging app but Handcent is still doing the same thing.

I've got my work email set up on the default mail app. It's an exchange email. It will work just fine for a few days but after a while I will get either a force close or a "connection error" message. the first time this happened. I removed the account and started it from scratch. Same thing happened. It worked for a while and then these errors.So I guess my question is, does anyone know how to fix this? Or, does anyone know a good (free) mail app that will work with MS exchange?

I enabled debug mode in the native browser to change the UA String. I typed in "about:debug" in the address bar. I then went into settings and changed the UAString to 'Desktop.' Now, every time I open the browser = force close. Yes, I tried rebooting. What are my options?

Moment running 2.1 do3/dd10, joeys recovery and root v7.
When I try to go to google.com or use the google search bar on the main sceen it starts to load, and before it finishes its closes the browser. It happens every time, with no forse close screen. It didn't always do this since I updated to 2.1, it just started recently. Has anyone else had this happen or perhaps knows what causes this?

I have a generic LY-F1 Allwinner tablet which was working fine until a week ago. Now, however, it won't boot past the glowing Android screen. I've left it for five or six hours with no progress, so I guess the ROM is corrupted. Is there any other way to fix this other than flashing a new ROM?
However, the main problem with this tablet is that it does not automatically enter mass storage mode when plugged into a laptop, so I have no way to rescue my content. I can see the drives in Windows (one for the internal SD, one for the SD slot) but they are not usable (they result in an 'insert media' message)
Is there a way to force mass storage mode so that I can remove my data in preparation to reflash it? I'm sure I read of a command line method to get into the internal SD card? Or was I imagining it?

Just installed chomp sms and then sms pop up. When I tried to launch the sms pop up to adjust settings...force close. I do get pop ups though. Slick. Like Chomp also.

I got a samsung fascinate last month and have been doing nothing but soaking up information since then.
Well, My mom has had a Moment for some time now. After looking at it today the first thing I noticed that its really slow and constantly force closes. She doesn't know anything about the phone other than its really slow lol.
It appears to of been rooted (I think my cousin rooted it for her) so I guess I need to know what steps I need to take to speed it up and to get it to stop force closing. LMK if I need to provide any more info,

HTC Sense keeps force closing on my EVO. I have turned the phone off and back on and the same happens. If I switch to a HTC scene, as opposed to a Custom scene, it works fine for awhile. I had it working almost a whole day, but HTC sense starting force closing again, once it starts, it keeps doing it, until you change HTC scenes again. If you change to a custom scene, the force close continues. I disabled HTC sense. Now I can't turn HTC sense back on, but I don't really want to if I am going to keep having the same issue.
For now I need to know if anyone else is having HTC Sense force close on them, and if there is a fix, or if it is known what is causing it. I will worry about how to turn it back after I find out why it's doing it and can fix it. I did a search for HTC Sense force closes and could not find anything, so I started this thread.

I installed ADW.Launcher 2 times now. But for some reason I'm getting a lot of force closes. Then when I hit the icon at the bottom to display all my apps; that's even messed up sometime. Is anybody else having this issue? I'm thinking that maybe Beatutful widges or Bettercut is the problem but I'm not sure. I really don't want to uninstall all my apps and install them one at time just to find out what's the problem. But that may be my only choice.

I am currently running CL14 stock with Open Home and I wanted to let you security conscious folks know about a security issue I discovered. I hit the end button and pulled up my phones lock screen. Decided to test the new emergency dialer and when I pulled that up Open Home had force closed. When I hit end it returned me to the main screen w/o me entering my combination. I assume this could happen with any force closed app so although it's a rare issue that something FCs in the background it is possible and is a security issue. Just a heads up.

I own a samsung moment which was rooted about a month+ ago. I started receiving an error message randomly today from HelixLauncher: The application HelixLauncher (process com.helixproject.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. It prompts me to force close then I receive the same error message yet again.
I cannot access anything on my phone as this error message renders anything on the phone almost completely inaccessible. I don't understand why I've randomly gotten stuck with this error message. I'm guessing my only option is a hard reset/safemode reboot and eventually re-root; this application seems to fuel a large part of the current 'root' I am running.

The SMS keeps force closing on me on my Droid 41/09. Sometimes two or three times a day. When it force closes, it deletes all threads. It even does it when there is only one thread with a few messages in it. I haven't noticed anything specific that causes the force close to happen, it just happens when it wants to. I removed all downlaoded apps and the problem persists. I am using the default messaging app. Is anyone else experiencing this and has anyone found a solution? I absolutely love this phone and it is my first Android device.

Unfortunately I was going line-by-line through Jonamerica's root guide instead of reading through the whole thing in detail first. I ended up removing Twitter, facebook, etc w/o removing my user ID. Now, accountsync FC's everytime I try to open it. In light of my mistake, how do I correct this issue? I can't seem to find any answers via search.

I rooted my phone with Unrevoked3. Then applied Unrevoked Forever. Then tried to update to 2.2 with the Update.zip method from the google server file. Phone kept rebooting and force closing. Attempted to Unroot which I am not sure I did properly. I also think my phone is still S-off. Tried to update to 2.2 after unrooting and get errors and it aborts. Now I am also worried that I will not be able to receive the OTA update. Any suggestions? Any way to make sure I am unrooted?
