Jul 26, 2010This is my first post but have been reading the forum since I got my desire 3 weeks ago.... love it so far, but I have just come across a problem, When I go into settings followed by "manage applications" I get an error that a process has failed, and then I can only quit using the force close button. I have tried restarting the phone and no new apps have been put on recently. Does anyone know what I can do to be able use the app manager again?

Sep 1, 2010When a try to deploy my android App in the emulator, after the application(.apk) gets loaded in to the emulator, when I tap on the menu button in emulator for loading my application's initial screen, its is raising me a alert message with this information:

How can I avoid this issue that is happening at all time, When this happens, unless I tap on Wait button, I can't able to proceed.

Sep 16, 2010Yesterday morning my phone started freezing..It always freezes but like real bad so i took the battery out and put it back in and turned it on and it went all the way to the screen where samsung is across it and black in the background and stayed there for 20 minutes and it wouldnt boot past that so i did it again and this time it stayed there for 40 minutes so i called technical support and they refreshed my device and that didnt work so they said to bring it to a store to have it checked out...
I have done this before and all they did was reset the whole phone so i didnt wanna waste my time waiting for the phone to be ready to be picked up so i did a hard reset myself and wiped the cache.It is force closing everythng and still freezes..Is there anything else i can do or am i going to be forced to go to the store?.....
Samsung Moment :: Slow And Constantly Force Closes
Oct 22, 2010I got a samsung fascinate last month and have been doing nothing but soaking up information since then.
Well, My mom has had a Moment for some time now. After looking at it today the first thing I noticed that its really slow and constantly force closes. She doesn't know anything about the phone other than its really slow lol.
It appears to of been rooted (I think my cousin rooted it for her) so I guess I need to know what steps I need to take to speed it up and to get it to stop force closing. LMK if I need to provide any more info,
Samsung Moment :: New CL14 Stock And Force Closed Application
Jan 16, 2010I am currently running CL14 stock with Open Home and I wanted to let you security conscious folks know about a security issue I discovered. I hit the end button and pulled up my phones lock screen. Decided to test the new emergency dialer and when I pulled that up Open Home had force closed. When I hit end it returned me to the main screen w/o me entering my combination. I assume this could happen with any force closed app so although it's a rare issue that something FCs in the background it is possible and is a security issue. Just a heads up.

Jul 17, 2010I own a samsung moment which was rooted about a month+ ago. I started receiving an error message randomly today from HelixLauncher: The application HelixLauncher (process com.helixproject.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. It prompts me to force close then I receive the same error message yet again.
I cannot access anything on my phone as this error message renders anything on the phone almost completely inaccessible. I don't understand why I've randomly gotten stuck with this error message. I'm guessing my only option is a hard reset/safemode reboot and eventually re-root; this application seems to fuel a large part of the current 'root' I am running.
Samsung Moment :: Google Voice Force Closes On Power-off / On - Reinstall An Older Version Its App?
Jan 10, 2010Think Google Voice was updated a few days ago. Version 0.3.0 on device. Every time on power-off/on it force closes. Uninstalled and reinstalled it, did not help. Reviewed the log file and there are some unhandled exceptions in Google Voice code. Any one else with this problem? Is there a way to reinstall an older version of Google Voice app?

Aug 27, 2010I rooted my phone with the one click app, side loaded the wireless tether app in and it works fine for tethering. The problem is when I choose to stop tethering the app says it's in an unknown state and to restart my phone.
Tethering still works fine but when I click stop tethering I can still see the beacon name on my client device. Also when I try and force stop it, I can't, it's still running. The only way to really kill it is to reboot the phone.
If I am not giving enough info I apologize and will give more if needed.

HTC Desire : Phone Quit Syncing With My Google Account
Sep 4, 2010My desire suddenly decided to quit syncing with my google account. Also the market is not downloading update anymore.
I do have internet connectivity either on 3G or wifi. I can browse, use weather, Ross and news etc. just when I go in menu-settings-sync and press sync ... nothing happens
I already rebooted a couple of times nothing works? any suggestions?

Every time i open a folder my phone says "folder is open" then when i close it, it says "folder is closed".
under settings > accessibility I have the talk back option off completely.
what setting am i missing here?

Oct 27, 2010Uneasily, I allowed the latest Mixzing update to install. I just had a feeling I shouldn't but was responding to a text when I received the prompt. Immediately afterward, I found that sound files (mp3s, etc.) would suddenly quit after playing for thirty or forty seconds. I hastily uninstalled Mixzing, only to find that every music player I try now produces the same result. Has anyone else experienced this? How would you go about troubleshooting without reverting to your last backup, if possible?

Oct 30, 2010I have a rooted Fascinate. After a second re-root my SF has been very buggy. My first root was successful. I messed something up trying to install voodoo and had to flash back to stock. Now, after a second buggy root I am faced with many freezes and FC's. (primarily in com.android.settings, but will float to various apps). Battery pulls don't seem to help. After a certain amount of using my phone, hopping WiFi, maps, email, just normal use, something will need to FC.
Within the next few days I plan on un-lagfixing my phone & un-rooting it. Ultimately I'd like to take it back stock and not root. This leads to my question: what is the best way to flash stock. I don't want anything left. I can tell there was something left from my first root because ads still do not show up. I had an ad block program installed on my first root.

Nov 9, 2010Everytime i reboot my phone, I get bunch of problems with my phone. when I try to open the phone dialer I get a force close on com.google.process.acore. Sometimes it completely prevents me from using the phone.
Then on occasion the phone freaks out and shuts the screen off, but leaves the navigation lights on the bottom of the phone. At that point the phone is completely unusable for about 1-2minutes. Sometimes when it comes back on, it starts rerunning the media scanner.
