On my Gallery, where my phone stores media ( pictures, videos etc ), there are a lot of albums, like " Camera pictures" "Camera media " all pictures" and when I take a picture, it puts the picture into ALL 3 albums, this is annoying, is there a way I can make it to where I just have like one picture and one video folder? Seems like a waste of space to have the same things in 3 different albums.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhile going through the Galaxy S manual I noticed that mkv video files were supported. I grabbed a backup copy I have of my Avatar Blu-Ray, in mkv format. I chopped it using a muxer to 1gb and transferred it to the phone. I don't remember which specific muxer I used, but it's so that I would t have to re-render the movie.I was floored by how gorgeous the movie looks on the 4' screen. Vibrant colors, no lag during playback and very good details. For some reason the audio is not working but my avi audio playback are nice, especially with the virtual 5.1.
I played with the tone controls and the brightness. By far this is my most impressive media moment with any smartphone.What is your most impressive media moment with the device, so far?my Droidx and Evo4g coworkers are jealous. I out performed them in benchmarks and the screen "vibrancy" wins by a mile.
The app I'd like to build aims at giving contact information of a person using a search engine. This is the basic feature.
To make it more appealing, I'd like to add those enhancement features:
(1) allowing making a phoning call to the contact (when pressing a button for ex.)
(2) allowing the user to store contact information that would be available off-line
I need to have it work for i phone, Android and Blackberry. The application should also provide the basic feature (with not necessarily the enhancement features) for the maximum phone devices. I'm a beginner in i phone, Android and Blackberry. What would be the more efficient way to code the app ? For example, is it possible to make a common web application for all the mobile devices to provide the basic feature (display contact info using the search engine) and only code the specific features using each specific language without re writing the common code ? How would it possible to achieve it? I would prefer not to use a 3rd application tool such as edgelib, xmlvm or phone Gap that generates code for you.
So I just really noticed that the moment's screen never goes black when you are on the phone using a bluetooth headset.

Like with the Hero we had to install Handcent and disable the standard sms to stop it from draining the battery. Is there anything like that you recommend to be done?

I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. I started it at 8am this moring and its still scanning at 4pm! Surely it cant take this long! I have the 8gb model with a 16gb sd card. Also dont actually hve much media on there onlyabout 1gb worth.

Im having trouble finding good ways to get TV shows on my phone...
Pretty much ever since I flashed over to 2.1 I don't receive any of my emails anymore. The only ones I do get are my work ones and that's connected directly to the Exchange server. I have a total of 4 emails being sent to my phone, My gmail, Hotmail, and 2 from my website exile-designs.com. I have the settings to check every 15 minutes but I never get any. Anyone have any idea's on this? I know the settings are right for sure on my Hotmail because I can pull that one up and see my old email's sitting in my inbox. The other 3 accounts should all be fine as well.

I tried rooting it today by following what seemed to be fairly simple instructions but when I went to do the recovery part, I got this message..."Samsung PST MFC Application has stopped working". I tried going thru the whole process again while phone was still plugged in but I kept getting same msg. When I unplugged it and tried turning it on, all I would get was a pic of a phone, a question mark, and a computer. I had to hard boot it. Once I did that, it was on the 1.5 version. I had to take it to the fix it shop to get the upgrade and my contacts back. I'm very scared to even try this again myself but I want it rooted so bad! I want to be able to use it as a modem for my laptop.

It seems to be a phone-side problem, because it is only rectified when I reboot the phone, but not the PC. The last time it happened was after an incoming call disrupted my PDANet connection. When I hung up, the USB icon was gone, and I had to reboot.

If I go ahead and reset to the factory settings with the CL14 update still be on my phone or do I need to redo that part again? Resetting is about the only thing I can think of or taking it into the store.
Does anyone know how to fix this? It'll come on and just stay at the Samsung logo screen. It's not frozen because the logo is glowing on and off. But it never gets past that screen!

I just want version 1.6 on the moment so I can get the WGN Radio app. The phone says it's running firmware version 1.5, and I get a "cannot connect" message when I try to update firmware, so what do I do? I put the phone in DM Mode manually but the programs just connect the phone port but say that the phone not answer when I select read.
