Samsung Moment :: Touchscreen Stopped Working?

Earlier my phone was playing Pandora and acting fine, but I couldn't unlock it because the touch screen wasn't responding. I had just came in from the rain and my fingertips were a little wet, so I figured it wasn't registering because of that, even though it usually handles moisture on hands just fine.
After my hands wee completely dried, the phone still wouldn't respond, and all that works is the sidekeys, send, menu, and end buttons. Nothing on the screen, nor the Home, Menu, or Back buttons work. I tried removing the battery a few times, and eventually the phone wouldn't even turn back on. After trying a hard reset, it was able to turn on and finally booted up after about 10 minutes of just a SAMSUNG logo, but the screen still won't work. It turned off on it's own after a few minutes and now won't turn on again.
Are there any solutions to this, or do I have to go to Sprint and have them fix it? I have full insurance on the phone, which I assume would cover this, but I'm working all day today and won't have time to go to Sprint even if I had to until tomorrow, so I'm hoping there's something I could try here, or from the boot menu.

When I first got my Moment, I couldn't get my Yahoo email to work under the "email" app.
I tried the following settings and it miraculously worked! I've been getting my Yahoo email on my Moment flawlessly for the past month: Go to manual setup > IMAP account and change to these settings....
INCOMING
Imap server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
port - 143
security type - TLS (if available)
OUTGOING
SMTP Server- smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
port - 25
security type - TLS (if available)
* check Require sign-in
However, my Yahoo email just stopped working on my Moment yesterday (it won't load new emails into my inbox on my phone)! It keeps telling me "username or password incorrect".. WTH!
Is anyone else having this issue recently? Could this be a new change that Yahoo made?
Does anyone else have any ideas of what the next step could be to resolve this? I'll bet my turkey that if I called Sprint Tech Support they would refer me to Yahoo, and if I called Yahoo, they'd refer me to Sprint!
Also, if you are using the same settings that I've been using and it is still working okay for you, please be so kind as to advise- so I know that that setting above is still working, and it is more likely just an issue with my Sprint Account.

My phone stopped working properly today, right after installing Astrid update(I don't think it's related but it's the only change of late). I'm getting no sound on calls. No ring, no voice, and nothing happens when I try to go to speaker, the button doesn't register to press even. I've tried pulling various apps and going into diagnostic mode. On speaker test diagnostics freezes up. I just got done doing a factory reset to no avail. I'm going to hit up the repair center tomorrow, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I'm browsing this forum fairly often and don't recall having seen the same problem although it's quite possible I've missed it.

I saw that moto group doing touchscreen accuracy tests on multiple phones and heard that I can download the accuracy test and try it out myself. If this is true, could some kind person provide a link ro the download.

Dont know if anyone else has this problem, but during a call my touchscreen turns off, the proximity sensor stops the screen lighting up but even if i dont put the phone to my head the touchscreen stops working.
Buttons still work and i have to use them to use the dial pad. Really annoying when you are trying to navigate automated menus etc as half the time it doesnt work as they pickup too much noise from using the buttons on the front.

My Moment has been working fine then all of a sudden it stopped syncing with my exchange. i am using Moxier since it came with it. now i can not make it sync manually. my Gmail works fine. just says my "mailbox is empty"

There's a thread similar to this on one of the Hero forums. I tried to stop using the task managers on the hero, but I noticed a quite a bit of lag once stuff kept building up. On the Moment, I was running into several issues with apps, and I figured it was due to the task manager (i use advance task manager). So to test my theory I stopped using the task manager and the device works as it should. What i found was that even with a lot of usage, this device does not slow down. Not sure if it's the lack of the sense ui (i'm using open home), the fast processor, both or what but this phone can handle everything I'm throwing at it.My advice, stop using whatever task killer you're using. One less thing to worry about makes for a better phone experience.

I have a new Samsung Moment phone and keep getting the error Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. This error does not seem to have a trigger, just happens when the phone is sitting there. I have tried a master reset of the phone and it did not resolve the problem. I've checked all contacts and I do not see any problems with them but I am not real sure what to look for as it doesn't error out on any particular contact. Facebook is not used on the phone so it's not a sync problem there. Are there any logs on the phone I can look at to pinpoint where this might be coming from? Or should I just take the phone back to sprint for a new one?

i got my moment today and everything worked fine just now the home screen stopped rotating when the keyboard wasn't open? everything else will rotate but not the home screen also what apps do i not kill with Advance App Killer cuz i know some of them will just open back up

For some reason, when I first start up my moment, I get these following error messages that lead to a FC.
The error reads: The application Voicemail (process com.coremobility.app.vnotes) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.Anyone know off hand what would cause this, and if so, how to go about fixing it?

I followed the directions for turning off 3g (to get better battery life) and now I cannot send text messages. I can receive but not send any messages. I have tried soft resetting, and putting things back to how they were before, but to no avail.

So I had to reset my phone, not sure why but the touchflow stopped working and I couldnt figure out how to get it back to normal so I just reset the phone
I reinstalled ATK but there is a problem before I placed the icon on the main screen and when I would press it it would just kill apps automatically but now it opens up the app and I have to select it.

Looks like my accelerometer is broken. I've checked the orientation flag and it is on. As a test tried compass and krazy Kart racing- both not working.
What I think happened is that I used the new Google maps today- and the phone got really hot. Suspect I've cooked it.
Battery pull as well as power off -no joy. Is a factory reset worth trying?

Didn't do anything different. All of a sudden it stopped working. It sees it and connects to it, but can't browse the web or update from other apps, etc. Rebooted phone and told it to "forget" my connection and reset it. Nothing helped. Other computers in the house connect fine.

So my browser stopped working. I tryed changing some setting so that it would stop showing me the mobile view of websites and from then on it force closes and says:
The Application Web (proxess/com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly/ Please try again.
dumpstae_app_201009191206_com_android_browser.log has been saved. Use *#9900# to copu out log.
FORCE CLOSE

Since I've installed MustyMod my GPS stopped working. The problem is, to be more precise, is that my Galaxy isn't seeing any satellites at all. When using an app like GPS Test, I can see that the GPS icon is flashing, and GPS status is on and everything seems to be in working order but no satellites are in view, even after hours of leaving the device in the open under clear sky.
At first I thought it was a bug in MustyMod, but then I installed Galaxo 1.6.2 and the problem remains. Any ideas? or did I somehow managed to brick my GPS?

I use it all of the time for voice commands. "Call so and so"... I am frustrated. I really don't want to do ANOTHER hard reset. It's such a pain to get everything customized again... Ringtones especially. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on how to fix it besides resetting it? I tried a soft reset to no avail.

im having a problem with my samsung galaxy s advance. Few weeks ago i spilled some pepsi over my phone. I dried it and everything was working fine. 3 days ago, my speaker stopped working. I reflashed my firmware and it worked for about 5 seconds and then it made cracking sound and would not work. I noticed that, if i suck air from the speaker with my mouth(sometimes i can just put my mouth over it) it would work for 5-30 seconds. But as soon as i remove my mouth it stops working.

My stock internet browser has stopped working I've installed Opera to see if that works and it does but the stock browser wont work anymore, I just get the "web page unavailable" page. I'm using firmware 2.2 and all other apps can connect to the internet ok.

when it was time for an upgrade i decided to go android with the galaxy s, and when i got it i loved it, but after 3 weeks its just stopped working, wont turn on, wont charg or anything. does anyone know why this might be the case and if theres anything i can do other than sending it back which i cant do at the moment as im out of the country.
