My exchange sync worked after initial setup but after a couple of days it stopped working. Any idea what is going on here?I tried deleting and re adding but the problem reappears after a couple of days.Samsung Captivate running Android 2.1.

I followed the directions for turning off 3g (to get better battery life) and now I cannot send text messages. I can receive but not send any messages. I have tried soft resetting, and putting things back to how they were before, but to no avail.

It sees it and connects to it, but can't browse the web or update from other apps, etc. Rebooted phone and told it to "forget" my connection and reset it. Nothing helped. Other computers in the house connect fine.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI noticed I had about 25 duplicate entries for every Google contact and anniversary, synching from my Google Calendar. I unsubscribed from "Contacts & Birthdays and Anniversaries" on my desktop and then did a sync, and as expected it deleted all the birthdays and anniversaries on my HTC Incredible. I then subscribed again to the Google Contacts "Birthdays & Anniversaries" calendar....made sure they were being displayed in the Google Calendar, and then synced the phone again. Nothing. Synced it several times and everything works...even a new test event, but the Birthdays & Anniversaries are not showing up. Any ideas?
View 3 Replies View RelatedPicked up the Incredible the day it was release and have had no issues what so ever. I rooted the phone last night, and today Exchange Active Sync will not let my phone sleep. If I remove my Exchange account, or simply disable active sync, then the phone sleeps.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a calendar problem Microsoft Exchange/Active Sync. Calendar items I enter in my Incredible show up on Outlook. Initially, my Outlook calendar items also showed up on my Incredible but those calendar items have now disappeared after about three days and any new calendar items entered in Outlook do not appear. Email works fine and contacts entered in either Outlook or the Incredible sync without a problem.
View 28 Replies View RelatedWhen I set my HTC Hero to sync with exchange "As Items Arrive", the phone is constantly synching and therefore my battery drains. Even when I turn off the phone, the phone uis still awake since it is constantly checking/sync-ing with exchange. I was under the impression that by selecting this type of sync, the items would be "pushed" to the device rather than the device constantly checking if there are new messages, contacts, or calendar eventsto sync. Is this expceted behaviour, or is there some other tweak I need to do? By the way, I just updatedmy phone yesterdey to the latest firmware, and the issue still persist.

I have turned auto sync off and just try to do it manually�
It tries for like 5 sec then says "there is a problem with sync, it should work soon, try again" or something like that.�
Now this HAS worked before, even after I updated to 2.1, but now it just wont.�
Think its a great way to keep a backup of the contacts.�
Manual sync for Gmail in the same menu works fine.
Just FYI: Captivate does not support Global Address List for exchange accounts. I am not sure if 2.2 will fix this.

I reinstalled ATK but there is a problem before I placed the icon on the main screen and when I would press it it would just kill apps automatically but now it opens up the app and I have to select it.
Looks like my accelerometer is broken. I've checked the orientation flag and it is on. As a test tried compass and krazy Kart racing- both not working.
What I think happened is that I used the new Google maps today- and the phone got really hot. Suspect I've cooked it.
Battery pull as well as power off -no joy. Is a factory reset worth trying?
Earlier my phone was playing Pandora and acting fine, but I couldn't unlock it because the touch screen wasn't responding. I had just came in from the rain and my fingertips were a little wet, so I figured it wasn't registering because of that, even though it usually handles moisture on hands just fine.
After my hands wee completely dried, the phone still wouldn't respond, and all that works is the sidekeys, send, menu, and end buttons. Nothing on the screen, nor the Home, Menu, or Back buttons work. I tried removing the battery a few times, and eventually the phone wouldn't even turn back on. After trying a hard reset, it was able to turn on and finally booted up after about 10 minutes of just a SAMSUNG logo, but the screen still won't work. It turned off on it's own after a few minutes and now won't turn on again.
Are there any solutions to this, or do I have to go to Sprint and have them fix it? I have full insurance on the phone, which I assume would cover this, but I'm working all day today and won't have time to go to Sprint even if I had to until tomorrow, so I'm hoping there's something I could try here, or from the boot menu.
My Sprint TV app stopped working last Thursday. Is anyone else having the same issue?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using a Samsung Captivate on AT&T for about 10 days now. Ive had the email client break 3 times during the last week. I can see all the headers and even send email. If I try to open an email and read it, I get an error (The application Email (process.com.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
The only way that i have been successful in getting it to work again is to perform a "reset to factory default" which looses everything! I saw posts from Nexus owners that say you can delete email data but that doesnt help on mine. I initially thought it was caused by downloading apps from the market. I've gone 6 days without getting any new apps or updating existing ones and I just got hit with the email error again... I have both my gmail and exchange email accounts active on teh phone.
I just got the Epic and love it. However, when I try to sync my work email, it keeps giving me a "Unable to open connection to server."I use Microsoft exchange for my email and am using the same settings I used on my moment and pre, but it just won't connect. All of my contacts and calendar events are on this and I need it for my job.I would be willing to use a 3rd party app if necessary, I just need this to work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy battery is still really, really bad. I did manage to last an entire day with 30 percent left by not using it at all, but other than that, that's pretty useless. If I wanted to exchange the battery, would I be able to do that rather than turning over the entire phone and getting back a new one? I don't feel the capacity to hard reset this phone, give it in, then re-root and do all the things I'm supposed to do with this phone all over again.

I tried the following settings and it miraculously worked! I've been getting my Yahoo email on my Moment flawlessly for the past month: Go to manual setup > IMAP account and change to these settings....

However, my Yahoo email just stopped working on my Moment yesterday (it won't load new emails into my inbox on my phone)! It keeps telling me "username or password incorrect".. WTH!
Is anyone else having this issue recently? Could this be a new change that Yahoo made?
Does anyone else have any ideas of what the next step could be to resolve this? I'll bet my turkey that if I called Sprint Tech Support they would refer me to Yahoo, and if I called Yahoo, they'd refer me to Sprint!
Also, if you are using the same settings that I've been using and it is still working okay for you, please be so kind as to advise- so I know that that setting above is still working, and it is more likely just an issue with my Sprint Account.
So my browser stopped working. I tryed changing some setting so that it would stop showing me the mobile view of websites and from then on it force closes and says:

Since I've installed MustyMod my GPS stopped working. The problem is, to be more precise, is that my Galaxy isn't seeing any satellites at all. When using an app like GPS Test, I can see that the GPS icon is flashing, and GPS status is on and everything seems to be in working order but no satellites are in view, even after hours of leaving the device in the open under clear sky.
At first I thought it was a bug in MustyMod, but then I installed Galaxo 1.6.2 and the problem remains. Any ideas? or did I somehow managed to brick my GPS?
I use it all of the time for voice commands. "Call so and so"... I am frustrated. I really don't want to do ANOTHER hard reset. It's such a pain to get everything customized again... Ringtones especially. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on how to fix it besides resetting it? I tried a soft reset to no avail.
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy phone stopped working properly today, right after installing Astrid update(I don't think it's related but it's the only change of late). I'm getting no sound on calls. No ring, no voice, and nothing happens when I try to go to speaker, the button doesn't register to press even. I've tried pulling various apps and going into diagnostic mode. On speaker test diagnostics freezes up. I just got done doing a factory reset to no avail. I'm going to hit up the repair center tomorrow, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I'm browsing this forum fairly often and don't recall having seen the same problem although it's quite possible I've missed it.

I dried it and everything was working fine. 3 days ago, my speaker stopped working. I reflashed my firmware and it worked for about 5 seconds and then it made cracking sound and would not work. I noticed that, if i suck air from the speaker with my mouth(sometimes i can just put my mouth over it) it would work for 5-30 seconds. But as soon as i remove my mouth it stops working.

I tried everything and finally resorted to doing a factory reset, now everything is working, and I am receiving all the messages I was supposed to get during the period it wasn't working. Now that I am getting all the messages, I realize that I wasn't getting them from before the update as well. I guess chomp is not to blame.
