Samsung Moment : Taking A Pic - Reboots My Phone

Samsung :: Moment Reboots After USB Use
Aug 3, 2010After I had rooted my moment at first I was having no problem with connecting and disconnecting my moment from my computer. but now whenever I disconnect it from my pc regardless of what way i do it whether it be to just unplug it or eject it from pc or stop it from the phone itself it locks up for about 5 seconds and then reboots. any idea on why? (also the pc also recognizes it just fine)

Oct 11, 2010My replaced Samsung is rebooting, sometimes 2 times a day, it will just be sitting there, I look over and it's on the samsung boot screen! WTF! Anyone else having these issues? I just had my other one replaced due to a cracked screen, only have had this about 1-2 weeks at this point.

Dec 1, 2009So far, I'm loving this phone, despite the glitches that it suffers from.
In an attempt to get the battery conditioned, I ran the phone all the way down yesterday, powered it off, and charged it overnight.
One thing I noticed is that when the phone got down under 15%, there were a handful of times that the interface would freeze briefly for a few seconds, and then the phone would reboot itself.
Eventually, I ran it down the the point where, after it rebooted, it would tell me that the battery was too low and that it was shutting off.
I would expect that if the phone were shutting down because of a low battery, it would prompt me somehow to let me know, instead of just rebooting.
Has anyone else noticed this same behavior? I've only had the phone for a few days, but so far, it's only done the reboot thing when the battery was under 15%.
Samsung :: Running 2.1 - Moment Reboots By Itself
Jun 8, 2010I was wondering if anyone else has had an issue with their Samsung Moment rebooting by itself. Mine has been doing this at least once a day. I am running 2.1 that was updated at the Sprint store, however, it was doing it before this. I have had the phone a week.

Samsung Moment :: About Taking Programs Off My Behold 2
Mar 16, 2010Hi, I had a question about taking programs off my behold 2 and putting them on my moment. No longer on tmobile and while I love my moment I really wish I could have the camera apps, audio post card apps and the gallery. I have root on both so I pulled the apk and odex files but when I try to install the apk it fails. Is there any way to get these to work?

I decided to upgrade to the vibrant 9 rom... the phone works except if i plug in the USB... it reboots and the battery charger attempts to charge then 1sec later it reboots again, and again and again.
I want to connect this to USB so I can use Odin and restore the original ROM. Has anyone experienced this? Any advice?

Nov 11, 2010Is there any other way to take the phone out of sleep mode, other than pressing the power button? I find myself taking it out of sleep a bunch of times per day, and I just worry about how long the dinky power button will last being pressed all the time. Sep 7, 2010I was taking a picture with my phone a little bit ago, and my phone locked up. None of the buttons would work and I couldn't hold power button down or nothing. So I pulled my battery out, let it sit for about 5min and put it back in. Now it's been about 10min and still on the "AT&T World Phone" screen. I'm going to just leave it on that screen and hope the battery dies all the way soon, then hook it up to the wall and see if it will turn on. I know the iphone has a way where you can reset a phone if it locks up, and of course i have my numbers backed up to my google account so I'm not worried about that. Don't really care about the videos/pictures I have on ther ebecause I typicall upload to youtube/flickr right after I take them.

Sep 14, 2010I have looked and cannot find the answer to this puzzle. The other day my wife came home and said that while she was talking on the phone she got a text message. She has a "Joe Dirt" sound notification for it and said that it began to play loud in the phone while she was talking. The other person could not hear it but she could. Today I am using RingDroid to make a ring tone and I get a call. The screen switches over to answer or not answer with no other options meanwhile the song is still playing. I figure if I answer the phone the call will over ride the music... wrong! As soon as I answer the music stops in the speaker and starts playing through the ear piece really loud. I can barely hear the other person through the music so I put them on hold while I try to navigate back to ringdroid which has vanished so I can push stop. While I'm trying to get back to it, it finally stops because it was set to play for 30 seconds. I go back to the call and ask if they heard that and they say no. This has to be fixed. What do I need to do?

Like with the Hero we had to install Handcent and disable the standard sms to stop it from draining the battery. Is there anything like that you recommend to be done?

Feb 14, 2010I did a search on this topic and didn't find anything specific to the BH2. Has anyone else experienced this? I got the phone yesterday and the phone has already crashed twice. It's almost as if the phone has died, but I can't turn it on or anything. I have to remove the battery and then turn it on. This can't be normal. Should I head back and get a different one?

Feb 9, 2010Here I am with 2 HTC Hero phones, with only one on an active account. I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. There are no scratches or rub marks on it, never been dropped and I have reset it to Factory Specs via the SECURITY MENU and the ESN is clear and ready to be activated on your SPRINT account.Please email me at sy@rayzel.com if you are interested. Apr 18, 2010Pretty much ever since I flashed over to 2.1 I don't receive any of my emails anymore. The only ones I do get are my work ones and that's connected directly to the Exchange server. I have a total of 4 emails being sent to my phone, My gmail, Hotmail, and 2 from my website exile-designs.com. I have the settings to check every 15 minutes but I never get any. Anyone have any idea's on this? I know the settings are right for sure on my Hotmail because I can pull that one up and see my old email's sitting in my inbox. The other 3 accounts should all be fine as well.

Sep 24, 2010Anyone in the Central FL area that would be willing to help me root this phone? I just got my moment 2 weeks ago. I tried rooting it today by following what seemed to be fairly simple instructions but when I went to do the recovery part, I got this message..."Samsung PST MFC Application has stopped working". I tried going thru the whole process again while phone was still plugged in but I kept getting same msg. When I unplugged it and tried turning it on, all I would get was a pic of a phone, a question mark, and a computer. I had to hard boot it. Once I did that, it was on the 1.5 version. I had to take it to the fix it shop to get the upgrade and my contacts back. I'm very scared to even try this again myself but I want it rooted so bad! I want to be able to use it as a modem for my laptop.

Dec 23, 2009I can't figure out the exact circumstances, but at times the USB connection between my phone and the PC gets broken, and my phone no longer gets recognized. It seems to be a phone-side problem, because it is only rectified when I reboot the phone, but not the PC. The last time it happened was after an incoming call disrupted my PDANet connection. When I hung up, the USB icon was gone, and I had to reboot.

Mar 22, 2010Recently my phone has started to shutdown, restart on its own. Constantly. And I do mean constantly. Several times. Over and over. And over again.
If I go ahead and reset to the factory settings with the CL14 update still be on my phone or do I need to redo that part again? Resetting is about the only thing I can think of or taking it into the store.

Aug 23, 2010Does anyone know how to fix this? It'll come on and just stay at the Samsung logo screen. It's not frozen because the logo is glowing on and off. But it never gets past that screen!
