my Moment just started doing something weird today. When i connect it to my pc, the phone will automatically start playing a mp3 song from my sd card? if i let the song play for a little bit, then unplug the usb, the song resets and starts over from the beginning???? There is no way to stop the music once the usb is disconnected, short of removing the battery.

My girlfriend has the moment and everytime you gets and incoming text message, it plays the notification tone and then it plays a ringtone. The ringtone is a song and plays until it ends or until she uses advance task killer to kill the processes. Anyone have this issue and more important, any resolved this issue yet?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Magic plays a song from one of my albums on my SD card whenever I plug it into my pc and I'm not sure but I think whenever I connect it to my car cd player using the adapter as well. I'm not sure if this is a setting that needs to be turned off because I have not found it yet. The music stops whenever I unplug it. I have USB debugging enabled as well.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 16gb card and I have my music in a folder called music. For some reason the music player isnt seeing all my music. I have made changes to folders names just to see if the app recognizes the changes, even removed some music, but when I load the card the music app dosent see the changes. Its like its somehow cached. I have gone in the "settings/applications/manage applications/music/" and cleared the cache, but under "settings/applications/manage applications /music player" it wont let me clear the cache. I have also noticed that certain folders have different album art thats ok not worried about that just want all my music to show. have any of you ran into this problem or know how to have it reload the music on the memory card ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedEarlier, I received a facebook message, and my Desire started playing a Bruce Springsteen track (needless to say I have Springsteen in my Music app). The thing is, my music app wasn't even open (in Task Killer) and when I did open it, I could still select another song and play it on top of the Springsteen song - so it wasn't a Music app bug. The only way to stop it was to open the task manager (swiping to home screen down) to identify the message. Is there somewhere where this particular track has been selected as a Facebook notification tone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just activated replacement Eris number two. Upon plugging it into my PC, the phone started playing a loud music track at maximum volume. When I went to adjust my volume, I found that this sound was being controlled by my ringtone volume and not media volume (interesting). I did a reboot of the phone and was greeted by the sound as soon as I plugged it in. The sound's duration is about thirty seconds.
I've plugged it into the other computer here and had the same issue. I've had it plugged into my computer for about an hour, and I have heard the music start up without notice twice so far. I did a google search as well as a search here and haven't found another user with this peculiar (if amusing/irritating) issue. I can upload a video/soundclip if wanted. I was considering rooting but I don't want to have to go to the trouble if I'm going to have to send this phone back to Verizon.
Music plays automatically at a couple of instances:
1) Whenever I turn on my car and it connects to bluetooth (not a big problem)
2) Whenever I hang up a call
3) Most of the time if I Ignore an incoming call
I was in a meeting today and answered a phone call. I hang up and BAM, the music starts playing automatically. Of course at this particular time I was listening to Opie and Anthony and the first two words were something I'm not even allowed to say on this forum. I had to defend my damn job after that. This happens with both the default music player and Audible and has happened with other 3rd party music players, so it's not just an isolated incident with one particular app. Only one app plays at a time, and it seems to be whatever app I used last? I absolutely love the droid platform and my Incredible, but I'm going to have to get rid of this phone if I can't fix this problem. I see no reason that a music player should start automatically after hanging up a phone call.
It doesn't matter what profile I have selected not that I have chosen which notification sound I want, it just starts playing a random song from my music collection. That in itself isn't so bad but what winds me up more than anything is that I have to interact with the phone to stop the tune from playing. Anyone got any ideas as to what it could be. It's on Orange running 2.1 and my ringtones etc are done through Zedge
View 13 Replies View RelatedI use Pandora for "radio" and Shuttle to listen to MP3s that I've copied/downloaded to my phone.
Problem is that when I get in my car and connect via Bluetooth, Shuttle starts up most of the time, even if I was listening to Pandora previously (e.g., listening to Pandora, park, run an errand, get back in car and Shuttle starts up when I start the car).
Today, I even had the situation where Pandora started up, played for a second or two, then Shuttle started up and "drowned it out".
I have purchased a Samsung Moment to use as backing for my vocals should my keyboard fail during a concert.
Unfortunately I have not been able to get it to PLAY a song and STOP till I am ready to proceed with the next item. Is there a App that will allow me to do this or is there any way I can programme the MOMENT to do this?
I have tried both itune and sprint media manager .(I had the samsung instinct before).

I thought it was just mediascape being weird but I switched to mixzing and it still does it! Has anyone else had this?

I figured out how to get the music on the it finally (even after Sprint tech told me it could not be done) but now I can't use "Ringdroid" because it says it doesnt allow "gma" yet. How do I convert files? And to what? BTW, when playing "Music" it does not turn off/stop. I can pause it and back out of the program but when I come back in it still in the pause mode. How do you turn off the music? I need real simple instructions please. I have many more questions but first let's get the music and ringtones with ringdroid working.

The thing is, all the songs I upload to it are put under the 'Unknown Artist' category. Yes, they all have titles, and artist names under them as well as album names, I only buy CD's or songs legit. Why can't I organize them? It's almost keeping me from using my phone as an MP3 player which is one reason I bought it. (Multi-use intentions)Does anyone know how to organize them or at least get the phone to recognize the different artists and albums? S.S

View 8 Replies View RelatedI dragged and dropped a bunch of music files from my Mac onto my Moment's SD card. In the Android music player, many of the albums (classical, mostly), were all jumbled together in an "Unknown artist" file. The instruction book for the phone says I should not use my computer to create new folders, or rename folders, on the SD. HOw, then do I delete and rearrange music files? I don't see a prompt for creating folders in the app on the phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI updated to 2.1 on sunday and haven't listened to MP3s yet (actually pulled sd card when updated). I was using meridian player before the update. I went through and downloaded all my old apps from the market again, but this time there was meridian pioneer. I went to listen to music today and the only thing that pops up is the stuff I've downloaded from amazon directly onto the phone. I started searching the sd card on the computer and there's a folder called lost.dir that is a little over 4 gigs that would be about the amount of music I had on there. All the files in there were renamed with numbers that range from 4 digits to 6 digits. I have all my music on the computer and I'll just put it back on, but I just wanted to make crystal clear that deleting this folder is an alright thing to do, and I'm not going to screw anything else up by deleting the entire folder.

I've used the sync feature in Windows Media Player to load music, and when I go into the Music Player on the phone, they are all there, but show unknown artist, unknown albulm, whats the deal? I deleted them and re-loaded, same issue. I deleted again and did drag and drop and they dont show in the medai player at all.

Anyone know how to tell it to ignore the music app? I know it can't be deleted.

I can connect the phone to the pc just fine and mount/unmount and copy files and such. What is bothering me is how the songs list in the player and under ringtones, seems all list the same in both places, I made a playlist, but I don't want my songs listing as ringtones. Anyone know how to do this better? Also, how to make it read the song tags info as well.

If I'm using the internal speaker, the notification plays, but the music or podcast is still audible. Is everyone else having this happen, and if so, is there a workaround?

The phone rings and the speaker works but it will not play Pandora, will not play MP3 files stored in the SD card, it will not play voice mail and it will not play stored ring tones? Any way to troubleshoot or should I jut get a new phone? Even with the insurance they want $100, thieves. First they don't release 2.2 and now this.

To add music to my moment i usually take out the SD card put it in the adapter and and drag music into the music folder from my laptop once the SD card in in plugged in. The last time i did this, i put the SD card back into my phone after just adding music to it and my music library was empty. i plugged the SD card back into the computer and the music folder is missing. i tryed to add all the songs back into the phone but the computer tells me the SD card is too full. Ive checked the entire SD card to make sure i didn't just accidentally drag and drop the music folder somewhere else but theres been no luck. any suggestions?
