Is there an easy way to get sprint to exhange my phone? Ive got the insurance. The phone tends to freeze up when the battery gets low, the screen will glitch and my battery life is no where near the amount of time you people get out of it.Anything i could do to it so like break it and get away with getting a new phone?

I got it to work on my htc hero without a problem but I'm trying to get it on my girls samsung moment and its giving me hell.Does any one have some simple steps for installation? I know it has something to do with samsung PC studio but she is currently out of town and I'm trying to help her over the phone. Any help will be appreciated as well as suggestions on another app that works better than Easy tether.Is the paid version worth it?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have 4 phones for my company. 2 HTC Heroes and 2 Samsung Moments.I setup both phones on my 2 pc's and laptops.Both phones worked great.Now only the Heroes are working with Easy Tether.I have loaded and reloaded the Samsung drivers. This problem occurred in the last few days.Sometimes the Samsung are recognized as "Legacy USB's".The Moments are supposed to be backup phones.I have not upgraded to the Full Easy Tether until I can get the problems 100% resolved.

2. Media Player / gallery app that lets you choose which folders to look in? I mean, it's funny as hell that my MOMENT gallery includes all the icon graphics from sprint navigation. So those there things there. can make my moment ROCK.

I can see in my text messaging that im automatically becomes I'm, which is great. But it doesn't do this in any other applications (only in text messages).
Furthermore, i want to add items to the autoreplace list, such as my name (capitalizing the first letter automatically), and other changes that i used to have on my Sidekick 3 (itss -> it's, smoment -> Samsung Moment, and probably many others i would think of over the months).
Is there an app i need to download? I want this feature enabled on every part of my phone, not just text messages.
I'm looking for some advice. I'm thinking about rooting my Vibrant.I have no experience with this kind of thing but have done some reading and watched some videos on the topic.My questions are:
1 - Is this risky- is it easy to screw up the phone beyond repair?
2 - Can I undo the rooting once it's done?
3- Are there many advantages to rooting?
I mainly like the idea of being able to delete stock apps and would love to have the wireless tether capabilities.
How would I return my fascinate to get the droid x? My 30 days is coming up soon. should I just go to verizon, and ask for a replacement? What should I tell them? And should I switch to Droid X or Incredible or stay with SF?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm super bummed. I'm currently evaluating Android phones and have looked at a lot of them (basically all of the decent HTC phones and the Samsung Epic). The Fascinate is a real stand out and I'd love to keep it. But, as per my thoughts on Bing, I'm going to cash this and go with Sprint. Before I walk away though, I wanted to check here. Anyone heard of a decent approach to getting this phone back to using Google, as God intended it? Specifically, I want to use the dedicated search button to pull up Google text and voice search. Adding Google as a bookmark to the browser isn't really a solution, IMO.

1. What is the risk of bricking my device really? Has anyone here ever had a problem with it before?
2. Does rooting absolutely void your warranty no matter what?
3. If it does void your warranty, can they turn you down if your phone breaks for something unrelated to rooting? For example if I root my phone now, and then 4 months later I drop it and it breaks will they fix it?
4. How do they know if you rooted your phone? If I brick it accidentally is there any way for them to know that it was rooted if I don't tell them? I mean it could have just as easily been a manufacturing error, they wouldn't know until they've restored it to it's original state.
I have rooted and then updated to stock HTC (unbranded) froyo so I have HBOOT-0.92.0001. My phone keeps rebooting under load and it seems to be a hardware problem so I need to return it. Is there any easy way to return to the carriers official firmware so they don't refuse a warranty return?

What happens on my machine is I get two devices in Windows Explorer saying removable disk. However if I click on them, it thinks its a CD or DVD by asking please insert a disk.
I just need to copy a few files over, and for security reasons I don't want to email them to myself.
Has anyone gotten Samsung customer support to replace a BHII with a Vibrant? I know some have gotten T-mo to do it, but I bought it 3rd party.
View 13 Replies View RelatedNo, not me. I still have my Hero. But a co-worker just got a Moment so I wanted to ask if there is anything needed to be done right out the box to fix any known issues. Like with the Hero we had to install Handcent and disable the standard sms to stop it from draining the battery. Is there anything like that you recommend to be done?
