View 3 Replies View RelatedI just recently updated from cupcake 1.5 on the samsung moment to a 2.1 android updated, rooted and have the wireless tether working perfectly fine. how many were rooted and are not having any problems.
View 4 Replies View Relatedanyone else having this problem? using 2.1 under caulkin's kernel. it seems like I can kind of overload the phone doing too much and the mobile network connection on my phone will disappear completely. this is while downloading something that may download too fast, sometimes it happens loading .GIF images too. I'll have to restart the phone to get the internet back. this happens no matter if I'm using wireless, USB or bluetooth tethering.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI know I know, texting while doing other things (we all know what I'm talking about) isn't safe. However, one thing I miss about the flip phone that I ditched a month ago is that I could text completely without looking by using T9. I was really good at it. With the full QWERTY on my Samsung Moment. I have to look, and sometimes, it's not safe.I had a thought the other night. Is there a way to pair a bluetooth number pad with a phone and use it for T9? I assume the number pad would have to be used upside-down (keypads are flipped from phones), but it would work wonderfully. I'm sure some software would be needed, but I'm no application developer, so I don't know where to start. Any thoughts?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Plantronics Voyager 510 (LOVE IT!!) and I can only seem to get the phone to send calls through to it. It works perfect, but how can I send audio from the Music Player or from when I am playing a movie? Do I need an App to do it or is there a setting that I am missing somewhere? I am using the Samsung Moment with 2.1
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have paired the Moment with my car and have been able to make/receive calls. Sometimes it takes five or ten minutes to connect. Lately, it hasn't connected at all. I tried deleting the phone and re-pairing it, but that did not help. Yes, Bluetooth is ON. The car is listed on the Moment, stating "Paired but not Connected." Any ideas?
View 45 Replies View RelatedPlugging in a headphone/speaker to the audio jack seems to terminate audio to Bluetooth. I would like to have audio both places out the headphone jack AND on bluetooth. Is that possible?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have two separate questions/problems.
1) My husband's Moment is paired with the bluetooth in our car. I know its paired because it shows up on the list of devices on the Moment but it fails to automatically connect to the car when bluetooth is on and he starts the car. This worked fine with his Treo previously and I'm pretty sure, worked with the Moment for the first coupld of times after pairing. It will connect if I do it manually but that's a pain! I have reviewed all the settings and can't find anything wrong . . .
2) Again, on my husband's Moment there seems to be a program that's running which turns on his screen and leaves it on! We hit the "end" button to turn it off but it will come back on later (I "ended" twice during the course of the night last night, a few hours apart). I have the screen timeout set to 15 secs and no other notifications/alerts in any program that would (I think) cause the screen to illuminate and not time out. Its obviously a concern for battery life and just plain annoying.
I cant use my Moment without my Bluetooth... any time I try to talk on it, my ear or hair hangs up the phone or puts it on speaker or turns on some other app. I think I read here that they were working on a way to lock the screen when talking? Has that happened? This is crazy.. Ive been trying to hold the phone away from my ear but I still have problems.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola H375 bluetooth headset which works great with the phone however even if I leave the phone on the table while a call is active on the headset the screen will NOT turn off after 30 seconds like it does outside of a call. If I put the phone up to my ear when on the headset it will because of the proximity sensor but that defeats the purpose of the bluetooth headset.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhich Bluetooth headset are you currently using? I have the Motorola H12 headset but it sucks with the moment. Which one do you currently use or have used and what type of results are you getting?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm thinking of buying Motorola - S9HD Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headphones. For my moment has anyone used these and do they work good.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThere has been one thread talking about Bluetooth headsets and it did not receive many replies. There have been a zillion threads about the Moment's difficulty in connecting via Bluetooth ("Paired but not connected").
If your Bluetooth headset works great with the Moment (e.g. connects consistently, good sound quality, etc.) Please post the manufacturer and model in this thread. Likewise, if your headset stinks, that is probably good information also, so post that too.
I am having problems getting the moment to automatically connect to my car's bluetooth .. I can pair it properly and it works but the next time I get in the car it never automatically finds the unit. Turning of/on bluetooth on the phone has no effect. What does work is going into the bluetooth configuration in settings and turning the phone to 'discoverable'. The car then picks it up and it works fine until the next trip.
The phone should not have to be 'discoverable' in my experience. I have had several other phones and the bluetooth has always worked fine in the car so I know it's not the car's system..
I have a Jawbone bluetooth headset that worked great on the Moment with the 1.5. Updated and now, when I press the call button on the headset, sometimes nuance voice control will open and ask "Say A Command"... i do so, and most of the time it will just go back to the home page. Sometimes it hears the command and will ask to confirm it. At that point, it just stays there, even after i say "Yes" 55 times, and then goes back to home screen. If I manually dial the number it will route it to the headset and all is well with the world. But driving, this is a pain and crashing is a really sucky option. Anyone else have anything like this happening? Any ideas? I am sure this issue has been beaten like a slow horse but I am tired of swerving all over the road trying to make a call.....
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy wife has the Moment and uses a Jabra BT250v.
She has only had two major issues with the phone ever.
Other than the usual bluetooth just not connecting and needing repair every once in a while, her biggest issue has been when she turns on the headset, the phone automatically dials the last person she called. She has to catch it and stop the dialing.
Do all headsets do this? I did not see anyone else posting this problem.
Anyone have a rec for a good one for the Moment? Perhaps a Jabra or Blue Ant?
(Her second problem is sometimes her face activates the mute while on a call)
Other than that, she loves the phone and I am very impressed with it myself.
I am looking for recommendations for Bluetooth stereo headset that will not only play music from the Moment, but allow caller ID (so I can see who is calling without using the phone) Mic, and all the appropriate controls. (answer/end, volume, track etc.).
Moment with 1.5 /cl14
Patiently waiting for 2.1
I have been trying to connect my wiimote controller to my phone using bluetooth. There are a few apps in the market that allow this to work and most people seem to be having success with this app while I keep getting that error when I ever I try to connect it.
I've tried 3 wii controller apps with no success. Is this a Moment issue? Has anyone else been having the same problem?
I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, but I can't get my Moment to voice dial with my H710 headset. It worked fine on my old phones. Does voice dialing not work with the Bluetooth headsets? Thanks!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble tethering my phone to my computer via pdaNet and bluetooth (USB works fine). I've seen several threads and tried a lot of things, but nothing seems to solve my problem. I have tried under Mac OS X and Win XP...
Under Mac OS X, it detects my phone and pairs successfully. It gets to the point where it says "Select the services you want to use with your mobile phone" and I check "Access the Internet with your phone's data connection." When I hit continue, it say "Configuring services..." forever, and it never connects.
Under Win XP (same machine), in my Network Settings, I tried to search for my phone and it doesn't find my device. Alternatively, if I go to Control Panel -> Bluetooth, it will pair. However I then go to Properties, Services and check "Dial-Up Networking", hit OK, and it says "The parameter is incorrect"
So basically the problem is that although my phone and computer can see each other via bluetooth, the DUN service from my phone isn't recognized by my computer. I have tried this with another computer as well, with no luck. Is there a setting on my phone that I need to change in order to get this working?
I just got the HTC Magic and so far I'm getting more and more disappointed in it Does anyone know how to tether over Bluetooth? I'm using a Mac, so I can't use Windows software, and I don't want to connect cables when I'm using my laptop outside.

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust got my HTC Wildfire and found something annoying, please help and let me now if there is a fix for this or if i'm doing something wrong. I'm trying to connect to the internet using my phone as the modem. It is possible to do using the USB cable, but I'd like to do it using Bluetooth. When i search for Bluetooth services available, Dial-Up Networking is NOT in the list. Come on HTC, I was able to do this with every phone I owned up to now.
