General :: Samsung Galaxy SII Rings For A Second - Shows Missed Call

The phone begins to ring and will ring for maybe a second, the screen lights up for me to answer, then it goes back to home screen and ring stops. A missed call notification shows up and then immediately begins to ring again...this only takes maybe a second... it does this over and over, showing up to 12 missed calls for one call. I have tried factory ringtones and downloaded, it does not discriminate.

1. My friend just got a Droid phone for Verizon and he has the PUZZLE lock screen All the time (not just when theres a missed Message or Call <mine only does that). Can this ben changed?
2. Is there an App for a Screen Tap turn on, I dont enjoy pressing the button on the side everytime?
3. Are there any other Screen lock Apps other than LockBot free?

When getting a text/missed call, The phone lock screen pops up. And it will stay on until I press the power button. Is there a way for it to turn off after a few seconds??

I have a Droid Incredible and when the device is locked there is a message at the bottom that says I have a missed call. I looked in my call history and found nothing regarding ths call. I have subsequently removed my entire call history but this notification message still appears. how to get rid of this bogus message?

I read 100 notification threads w/o an answer. I have a Zedge ringtone that is the notification for a missed call and cannot change it; in fact, don't know how it got there. I even removed Zedge app. but it still plays. I want to change it to a simple Android tone.

I need pop-up notifications of missed voice calls and SMS text messages. The pop-up should remain on the screen until dismissed/acknowledged. If the screen times out, I would like the message to reappear after I log in to the phone. Generally I can't get my phone out quickly enough to see the original message. I can't tell whether I've missed a call or a text message, so I have to check both. I find the missed call format especially unfriendly. I'm using Calendar Event Reminder and loving it. It would be great to find soemthing that works similarly for calls and text messages.
I must have installed some app or selected some option. About 5 minutes after missing a text message the phone produces an very annoying sound. I hope that when I install a new notification app or setting that this annoyance will go away.

1. Is there a way to get the badge notifications for when I miss a call or text? I have "MIssed call count" and "Unread SMS count" turned on and it never displays the number of missed calls/ messages
2. Is there a way to rename a folder created in this thing? When I make one, it just is called "New Folder" and I can't get it to recognize folders that I made before installing Launcher Pro.
3. I'm having trouble finding certain things, like for instance the "Active Applications" widget is not under widgets on LP - where can I find it?

I want to add my missed events on my lockscreen (calls, sms, whatsapp and email)
Whatsapp is no problem at all. Solved it with Tasker and Minimalistic Text.
Now I am trying to bring in the variable for the missed call to Minimalistic Text from Tasker.
Unfortunately there is no event I can grab to get there.
Is it eventually locked within ics?

On my N4, Kitkat I noticed problem with missed call.
I'm using exDialer and not stock one.
When I have missed call, I press icon in dashclock, but I'm always asked for "complete action with:" adn I have choice for exDialer or History (open stock dialer history).
I already cleared defaults on both apps, but problem persist.
So as I see, that extension can't remeber default app.

Noticed yesterday that on the homescreen when the phone was locked that a missed call and voicemail notification appeared as pieces removed from a jigsaw overlay of the background homescreen image. Hadn't seen that before. Is that a default thing or can I change it (did look rather cool though). I usually use the pattern lock rather than the default swipe lock, so I'm wondering if it's to do with that default setting.

Since the time I have upgraded to KitKat- I have been facing the issue of Call History. Every Time I miss a Call and I click on the name/number- Its asks me to select a default option of whoch way to open that entry , that is, through Dialer or through History. I tried selecting history and clicked on the "always use this option" but the same thing kept happening every time. After a few tries, I chose the other option and did the same thing and it again kept appearing... It looks like there's a bug in this and it never really saves my preference.

Often my Droid will only ring one time for an incoming call. If the call is left unanswered it is auto-answered after a "normal" amount of time. But I can watch the screen of my quiet Droid after the initial ring and count the seconds until it's auto-answered with my recorded greeting. It should be ringing during that time.
It seems to do this randomly, though it's really tough to troubleshoot and tell definitively. I sat for two hours with my wife's Droid, my laptop phone program and our regular house phone and got consistently inconsistent results!
I've yanked every phone call specific app and reinstalled them systematically, rebooting each time. I've taken a look at system apps to see if there is a conflict. I've also looked at (and pulled & reinstalled) audio setting apps looking for a conflict.
I've changed ring tones to MP3 clips, and while they do play in their entirety, they usually repeat and they are not. I've even done a hack to the system/build.prop file that changes the delay before the phone rings.
I just can't seem to figure out what's going on. Anyone have any ideas?

my phone will freeze for 10-15 seconds, then I'll get MAYBE 1 second of phone call, then it'll go to missed call. What's happening here? A similar issue that's also been happening is that I may get the call to ring normally, but then I can't push Answer on the screen so I can't pick up the call. I've updated to Froyo through the OTA update. This wasn't happening after the upgrade, just recently. I've disabled ATK to rule that out, and it's still happening after a reboot.

Been loving my new DHD however have this intermittent problem when making a phonecall all i get is a single beep and 'call ending' message. Today while outdoors it just refused to connect but working ok now.
It rings once at the receiver then cuts off so I was told.
I have plenty of signal and the person I'm calling can call me back after getting the one ring and wondering whats going on after the I've tried several times!

Often during my calls I can hear a call waiting tone (double beep) but when I look at the screen there is no parallell call? Am I hearing the other persons call waiting or is it a glitch in my phone? I had this issue on every ROM, 2.1, 2.2 and live in Sweden (if it makes a difference)

I've purchased Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9003 (Android 2.2) in the month of Dec'11, but due to certain reasons I could started using the phone for last two months.
I've tried more than 10 call recorders for my phone, but it didn't work. I found an application on Google Play which says "the application might not work with Samsung GT-I9003 due to lack of support". any working call recorder for my mobile? keeping in view the point that I'm new to android.

Missed Call - LED notification for missed calls.Thanks to Android_Goes for his efforts however I (or at least my wife) wants thye same facility as she had on her previous phone which is a regular beep to remind her of a miss SMS or call.The flashing light is not so useful in a handbag or pocket.She travels on her job and regularly appointments are cancelled by SMS or by a call. She doesn't have nor wants hands free so she sometimes misses the calls.Is anyone able to point me at an app which beeps after a missed SMS and call?

This has happened to me at least a handful of times now with the Ally. I'll check my phone and I'll have a notification of a new voicemail, but with no indication that I ever missed a call in the call log or anywhere else. Is this how it's supposed to work? If you miss a call but no message is left, you get a "missed call" alert, but if they do leave a message, you just get a voicemail alert? Or is something goofy going on? Kind of annoying that I can't just quickly check the call log to see who it might have been. Instead I have to call in and listen to it. Is this to pressure people into using Visual Voicemail? I don't pay to have that on my plan.
