When I go into Settings/Apps/Manage Apps/. I see an app that I installed last week. The problem is that I can't launch it because it doesn't show up on my home screen or under apps. How can I find this app so I can launch it?

Can we really hide "last seen" on WhatsApp.
I have a samsung galaxy 5 and no internet on my phone (but it also works on phone data plan) i use Wifi, the trick is for me to have wifi on so i can recieve messages and once i do, i just turn off my wifi and then open the whatsapp message. after that you can even type a reply if you want send it, close whatsapp completly and start your wifi again. it wel then send the message but you wont have come online, my friends still think its freaky that i was last online 3 days ago while im still talking to them the only downside is that you yourself then cant see when someone else was last online cause to get that information you need to be in the message and online.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 on Android 4.2.2. Is there any way of removing ongoing icons which permanently sit on the left side of the status bar? I ask because apps like 'Unlock with WiFi' warns you when disabling its permanent icon that it will hinder the process' activity. I tested it and yes, the app didn't detect the state of my WiFi well. Same goes for BBM's Connected icon.
Is there any way of making their visibility 0% or making the icons 0px, if not 1px, without disabling the icons entirely?
On my droid phone, I get what I consider a proper pause/stop/resume/restart sequence when the home button is pressed and I then select my application. However, I'm testing on a new Samsung Galaxy tablet and when I select my application after having pressed the home button, a new activity is being launched. I do not understand why the behavior is different on the Galaxy. Any ideas? I have removed orientation config changes in the manifest, so it's not that.

- First if u haven't already, download launcher pro
- Next go to any of your dock icons and long press it
- When it asks, click on the swipe gesture action
- Go ahead and choose hide status bar
Is there a way to hide the toolbar/taskbar/whatever you call it bar? I am rooted, but not re-flashed. Oh, I have an Epic 4g.

I can see all the apps that I have installed, all pics, all music files even all SMS's but I don't have any contacts in my phone any more.
Are they gone for good or are they hiding somewhere on the phone?
I didn't have them synced with my gmail account.
I have my facebook synced with my calendar, now I came from Web OS and if you would confirm to an event, it would show up in your calender, if you would put maybe/not attending, it wouldn't for those pesky 2 month events that people love to make. Now my problem is that I have it synced, and double checked and I am declined for the events and even have the "hide declined events" checked but yet they are still being displayed.

Does anyone else think its possible that the fascinate could launch with 2.2? The X is out and the droid 2 is supposed launch next month, so unless they are planning to do a really quiet launch of the fascinate, it probably wouldn't launch until the following month or maybe even later. Could vzw be planning this phone to be their holiday phone this year? Or are there going to be bigger plans for that? Just thinking out loud and seeing what everyone else thought.

Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
Brand new moment as of today, and when I tried to get HTC theme. My brother has it on his droid, but when I open it it says launch error, I also wanted different weather app. Got same error message.

People have been suggesting to get the Samsung Galaxy S, that's also out of my budget and looks too much like an iPhone. So i stumbled upon these two phones.I'm leaning more towards the Spica because it has superior battery life, and 800mhz compared to the 528mhz the i7500 has. and it can also play DivX.What's making it a difficult decision is the i7500 has an AMOLED Screen. It can display 16,777,216 Colors while the Spica can only display 65,536 Colors I'm not too sure if that will make a difference. Also it has 5mp w/LED Flash while Spica is only 3.2.One phone has a little of both. This will be my first Android phone I'm coming from a Sony Ericsson W995.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently picked up a Samsung Galaxy S Captivate (Android 2.1) on Rogers Wireless. I've been having an issue with the wifi on it, it only works intermittently when I'm at home. It will connect to my network without issues, but none of the data-enabled apps can access anything, they just time out. While this is happening my old iPhone (recent android convert) and my Nintendo Wii are able to connect flawlessly. This ONLY happens when I'm at home on my own network from what I've seen, when I'm on the wifi at my work everything works fine. Has anyone seen issues like this or have any suggestions as to what may be causing it? FYI I have tried different wifi channels, currently my router is setup to use TKIP on WPA2 for encryption.

However I quickly discovered it wasn't when my Orange Sim worked in it and no T mobile apps or logos appeared on my phone. I already have a Samsung Glaxaxy from Orange so instantly knew that my new phone from ebay was not up to date.As you can see one of my phones is running the latest firmware but the other one isn't AND also says it cannot be updated. What is going on? Has the seller messed with my phone or something?I am not interested in getting Froyo on either of my phones. I will get that when it is officially released. All I want is the ebay phone to be able to be updated. I have tried everything suggested on this forum including changing the product code. I tried to change it on the phone, no product codes were listed as a choice, I also changed the registry but nothing works. Have I got a dud phone because surely my T Mobile phone (which somehow allows an orange sim to work) can get JM3 update by now?

Awesome. loved it.Sorted my wi fi out etc Only problem is, I've turned Wi Fi off now but the 3g internet is still on and uploading and downloading when I am not even on a website. I would hate it if I have to stick with using EDGE on it. Also I did a little snooping around and it seems like the galaxy S will be coming to the US later this year...on all 4 major carriers? So is it correct to assume that the phone will work on Tmobile 3g or are they going to sell different carrier exclusive models so that it will work on each individual network?
