View 3 RepliesThe Samsung Galaxy S has just received the honor of being the first Android phone to be certified by DivX for HD video playback. You now have the official blessing from DivX to load up your (legal) 720p video files on your Galaxy S phone and enjoy your media on the go.With the phones DLNA and microUSB connections you will also be able to sync up with other DivX certified devices and enjoy your videos on your large screen TV. Currently, the only other phone to receive certification from DivX for HD playback is Bada powered Samsung Wave. With developers pushing out more Android handsets with larger screens, we should expect to see DivX handing out more HD certifications over the next few months.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue where the video and audio are out of sync using my HTC Desire. I am using videos I have already converted for play on an iPhone and work without an issue. I am also having the same problem on youtube videos that I stream using Wifi to my handset. It is only every so slightly out of sync. I have a few people I am speaking to now with the same issue, and I also tried video on a test handset in the store I bought mine from which gives the same issue. Is anyone else noticing this problem?
View 49 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try and view a video via the Youtube app or the Ballplayer app the Audio is about half a second behind the video making it unwatchable. Any ideas what the problem could be.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had any problems with videos loosing audio sync ?? It plays the first part of the files fine then after a few mins playing it appears to lose sync. Is there any max bitrate the phone supports? They are encoded from dvd at 1344kbs in mp4 format and 128kbs aac sound.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know this has been discussed before, but I've been having audio / video sync issues with converted videos on the eris. I'd like to emphasize it is the PHONE ONLY and that all videos played great on the computer. Is there any solution, or maybe a better mp4 video software out there? I'm down to a video quality of 320x240 and 350kbs, but the video still starts to lag the audio. If I pause and then play, the video speeds up to "catch up" to the audio for a split second, but then slowly falls behind again. Overall, I've been really disappointed with the incredibly slow processor on the Eris. It's not like this thing was HTC's first smartphone or anything...

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyone else see this? If I start the video from scratch and let it play all the way through, audio is synced just fine. When I drag the slider to another point in the movie, it's now off by a second. If you aren't seeing this behavior on yours, would you mind telling me the compression method you did?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've read many topics from many android forums about this issue, but I have yet to see any posted solutions. If anyone know what program to convert videos, what settings to use, what resolution, what frequencies, what bitrates that will result in sync'd playback all the way through a movie, let me know.

I am trying to determine whether the Epic will sync with Outlook for email and calendar, but it does not seem so.Is anyone aware of a solution for this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI work in IT at my company and support mobile devices and their connection to our exchange server. One of our employees got the Epic 4g and she continues to have issues with ActiveSync not downloading emails right away. For example, this morning she had about 25 emails come in and on her Epic it showed the last email being from yesterday. I tried to manually refresh the email on the phone and it did not download any new emails. I rebooted the phone and it started downloading all her emails. This is not the first time this has happened. This is a normal occurrence for her. It will not download anything for a few hours to a few days then download everything at once.I know it is not an issue on our side as we have about 20 iPhones and about 15 Android devices working fine including my Evo. So far, she is the only one in our company with an Epic however we have about 3 employees that are about to leave their Blackberries and iPhones for the Epic and I have told them to hold of until we resolve this issue.
View 8 Replies View RelatedDay 10 new epic 4g high expectations that I just bought a smartphone that'll allow me to make HD videos with stunning digital sound as it turns out with sadly PQ (poor quality) sound. There are no recording level adjustments possible and no audio level metering which may have helped. Forget about amplified concerts I tried, Video looked awesome audio nothing but distortion from 20th row center stage or 100 rows back. 2nd attempt a vocalist playing grand piano with minimal amplification for voice, trust me the concert sound was well balanced and I was 20 feet away from performer, an easy task for the cheapest digital recorders out there. Camcorder fails again. Horrible choppy/stuttery sound. If I had hit the share to youtube button without first reviewing, I'd have uploaded a disservice to the artist.....
View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't own an Epic but have thought about jumping from verizon to sprint for their superior 3G coverage in my area. The only phone that interests me is the Epic so I have been reading a lot of forums and reviews. I have heard that the Samsung is supposed to have great quality through the 3.5mm(I think because of some pre-amp or dedicated part of the processor. I'm no expert and cant remember what I read and where).
I haven't really seen to many comments about the audio quality from the 3.5mm headset jack and also the exterior speaker loudness and quality. Coming from the Original Moto Droid it has the best external speaker on any other phone I've owned thus far but sub-par 3.5mm headset jack quality/loudness. Can anybody give me some of their personal opinions on how they think the Epic external speaker matches up to the original Moto Droid and how about the quality/loudness out of the 3.5mm.
I recently took my Epic to a concert and recorded some videos. The picture quality of the videos was OK but the audio was amazingly distorted. There was a lot of bass at the concert which greatly I assume distorted the entire videos sound. I am greatly disappointed as I cannot listen to the songs cuz the sound so bad! Is that normal?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just started Pandora up on my shiny new Epic but the audio does not stream to my BT headset by default apparently and I cannot figure out how to make it so. I have the new Blueant Q2 and have been streaming music on my Palm Pre prior to today.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed that audio and video aren't in sync? Or is it just my phone?! Literally, in every video i play audio is a fraction of a second out of sync when compared to video. Tried with 720p, brrips 720p, dvdrips, and even ordinary hdtvrips, and it happens in every single one of them. Also happens when playing some games, or even when i'm playing 720p video that i recorded minutes ago. I'm currently using Doc's XWJPA, and previously have been using stock XWJPA. Same thing happened on both.
Has anybody else experienced something like that, and how to fix it?
Anyone else experiencing this? Really bumming me out.
