Jul 22, 2010Does anyone else have find their browser giving this error often while on WiFi? I have to disable and move to 3G just to get my connection back.

Samsung Captivate :: Wifi - Browser Just Indicates Server Error
Sep 26, 2010Wifi is on; hotel server found; connected to hotel server; but where do I input the hotel server password? Browser just indicates server error.
I also have my itouch with me and after it connects with hotel server, a sign-on screen comes up and I enter the server password.
Can't get the Captivate to supply a sign-on screen. Is there some other way to enter the server password that was supplied to me?

Jun 27, 2012Im here because of my problem with SGA 2.Few days ago I bought ACE 2 and I found few problems with "external_sd".So the problems are
1. When I try to create folder it gives me error "Creation failed"
2. When trying to move folder from internal memory to external sd it gives me error like "Moving failed", while copying goes fine.
3. I can move/copy any file to sd card, but sometimes those files got corrupted, gives me error about memory when trying to open pictures, same problem when saved camera saved photo to sd card. Even getting error when trying to play video.
APK files got corrupted too.
4. When I have moved apps to sd card some while apps work great, but after some time cant launch apps because it gives me error about that app doesnt exist.
I tried formatting sd card with pc and android.
Factory reset.
Repartition to same firmware with Odin.
Wipe cache, wipe data.
I dunno what causes those error, bugs, glitches. Is it phone or android sytem?
Tried many sd card and always got same errors. But when I mounted mine sd card to another phone it worked perfect.

Sep 6, 2010I have a rooted samsung captivate with sideloading enabled. After experimenting with different wifi tethering apps from the unofficial market, I began experiencing difficulties with my wifi connection. Even after uninstalling every app that I thought was changing the wifi state, the problem still persists. I can turn on the wifi and it will act normally for about 30 seconds before turning off without user intervention. In dmesg, the error is as follows: 'mmc1: Got command interrupt 0x00060001 even though no command operation was in progress.' Is this caused by an app or is this a more complicated problem?

Jul 9, 2013I have recently gotten back into developing Android applications. However, every time I try to run an application on my phone now, I get the error message - "Parse Error - There is a problem parsing the package."
Two years ago, I used Eclipse to develop projects, which is what I'm using now. Though, I had to reinstall eclipse and everything else. So it's a new setup but I believe it's the same general setup.
I can put my old .apk files on my phone, and they work fine. If I put any newly created .apk files on my phone, I get the parse error.
I also found that if I compile any OLD projects and then copy those onto my phone, that I get the parse error.
This leads me to believe I've got something set up wrong in Eclipse that my phone isn't liking.
I thought maybe it was the virtual device manager, so I've tried several combinations of virtual devices - 1.5, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3.3 - using any of them still gives the parse error when trying to run the applications on my phone.
By the way, all of these projects work in the emulator running through Eclipse, so I know they work.
Samsung Captivate :: Random Crashing Of Captivate Browser
Aug 28, 2010My Captivate's browser will crash / shut down, upon attempting to launch a web page.
This occurs with random pages, it happens about once out 20 times I go to load any web page.
It does not happen on the all pages, just certain pages. (I've failed to note which pages so far) When it does happen, if I try to open that same web page again again, it crashes. If I immediately try another web page it's fine.
My Captivate is original, w/ver 2.1 Eclair, not rooted (yet) and otherwise operates very well. So far it's the only bug I've had.
General :: Install ROM Onto Phone / Keeps Giving Error
Feb 22, 2014Lately I have been trying to install a ROM on to my phone, but I cant get the files onto my SD card. Keeps saying, "Cannot copy item. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected.". I just rooted the phone about a week ago and figured I would change the ROM. Also tried unblocking the files but got nowhere. Also tried other ROMs, nothing is working. But I can transfer files to and from my SD card with no error.

I am getting 2 errors: there is no resource to match the layout_below and layout above names i have put in.I have another layout xml file including very similar components, some of which also reference @id/headingLayout and @id/tabsLayout. Both of these XML layout files do not contain the component with name headingLayout or tabsLayout.Why is it that one layout file has no errors about these references and the other layout file does? What the crap am i doing wrong, the app will build and run like i expect, until i add this merge to another layout?I have even tried copying the xml from the working layout file, to find that it gives the same errors, something must be wrong with my new layout file. General :: Galaxy Nexus On Stock 4.1.1 - Giving DF-BPA-09 Error?
Sep 15, 2012Running a Galaxy Nexus on Stock 4.1.1 (rooted).Last week, Play Store randomly started giving me the DF-BPA-09 Error when I wanted to download new apps. Old apps would update fine. I searched XDA and found that turning Google Sync Off and restarting the phone solved it. It worked once or twice, but the problem kept coming back.
Then read another thread that said go to All Apps > Play Store >Uninstall Updates and Clear Data. I did this, and now when I start Play Store, it permenantly gives me 'Server Error', with a Retry Button below it.I have Titanium Backup Pro, so tried restoring an older version, tried Freezing and Unfreezing the App, still not working.
DF-BPA-09 Error used to come, Cleared Play Store Data and now stuck at Server Error.

Sep 4, 2010Some time ago...I estimate a week at most, I received an error when simply saving a file from my Browser, stating there was not enough space to do so. Knowing my phone had mre than adequate space, I presumed it was just an error with my browser.
Trying again with a different internet browser, I was met again with the same dilema. To make matters worse, I cannot permanently delete picture files from the default viewer on my phone. Queerily, I can delete them, only to have the pictures return hours later. To make my situation more unusual; Upon viewing the SD card mounted on my laptop, I can move, add & delete any form of files with ease. Even saving/deleting other files using different apps (Videobox, for example) gives me no hassle whatsoever.
One solution I'm willing, but at the same time reluctant to try is to reset my phone entirely to it's factory default setting (prior to backing up all of my SD card's data, of course)
