View 5 RepliesI love the dolphin browser with the gesture features and pull bookmarks. But it's been crashing and page are loading slow.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've set Dolphin to be my default browser that way when I open links from emails and such it'll use Dolphin. But at times I want to use the Stock Browser, I'll just open up "Internet" but when I get there and click on a link from within the Stock Browser, it'll open it up and move me to Dolphin. I pretty much want to say "Hey, if I open up the Stock Browser, I want to use it but otherwise use Dolphin for everything else".
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone going back to stock, now that it has pinch zoom? I think I am unless someone knows why Dolphin is still better. I don't see anything up front. When will stock sync with Crome?
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have a Evo4G with Sense, and included is this really fantastic widget that displays all of my bookmarks as a full panel on Sense. It scrolls, has more than 6 bookmarks, just great stuff.
Well recently I discovered DolphinHD, and want to commit fully to the browser, however, I lose the functionality of my widget because it points to where the stock browser saves bookmarks.
So my question is this, can I re-point said widget, or is there another widget available on the market with the same functionality (I think the answer is no), or is there someway to use dolphin to manage/save bookmarks in the same location as the stock browser?
Has anyone found a way to eliminate the default zoom? There should be a setting to turn it off, but I cant find it...what is the point of it when there is pinch-zoom?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to have the Dolphin browser bookmarks on the stock bookmark widget? I'd like to add and customize it but don't wanna jump between stock browser and Dolphin. Searched some other threads and could not find an answer that applied
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy question is, "Is Dolphin HD browser (or any other browser) better than/or worth using in place of the Samsung Fascinate's stock browser?"
I haven't found any direct answers to this question. I found lots of posts recommending the Dolphin HD browser, but that was compared to older android phones stock browsers.
I've had my fascinate for about two weeks now, and don't have a problem with the browser, but was wondering what other people's opinions are of the fascinate's vs other browsers. Always looking to make the phone better/faster.
So my browser stopped working. I tryed changing some setting so that it would stop showing me the mobile view of websites and from then on it force closes and says:
The Application Web (proxess/com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly/ Please try again.

I'm using dolphin broswer!
I have loaded the Dolphin browser as my default browser and the google homepage is stuck in Spanish. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and nothing changes. The only way to view it in english is to scroll down to the bottom of the google homepage and press "Google.com in in English". Once I close the browser and come back its back in Spanish. Any ideas or suggestions?
View 20 Replies View RelatedIts there any way to make dolphin the default browser for all applications that launch a browser? Like quick search?
View 13 Replies View RelatedMy Captivate's browser will crash / shut down, upon attempting to launch a web page.
This occurs with random pages, it happens about once out 20 times I go to load any web page.
It does not happen on the all pages, just certain pages. (I've failed to note which pages so far) When it does happen, if I try to open that same web page again again, it crashes. If I immediately try another web page it's fine.
My Captivate is original, w/ver 2.1 Eclair, not rooted (yet) and otherwise operates very well. So far it's the only bug I've had.
I have a horribly newbie Question, i for the life of me cant figure it out either with dolphin or the stock browser. I want to go from the bottom of a web page to the top with ONE TAP.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was able to do this before i think but i can't remember how. How do you switch between the browser UA (Mobile, Desktop, iPhone)? I can't find the setting anymore! I'm sorry if there is already a post on this, but i couldn't find it at all.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just found this on another forum and thought I would share it. It seems to be faster than Skyfire. Once you open it you will see the difference.
View 24 Replies View RelatedSeems like mine forces closes more than I would like. I downloaded the HD one for my inc. What's the difference between the HD and reg one? Also any other better or comparabers browers out there?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSometimes I wish I was Dr Frankenstein and could take the parts I like from all 5 major browsers and put them together into one SUPER-browser.
1. Stock Browser (full-featured but slow)
2. Dolphin HD (medium quick but weird bookmarking scheme)
3. Opera Mini (fast and great bookmarks, but no pinch-to-zoom)
4. Skyfire (all round probably best one, but slower than xscope)
5. xScope (very fast and light but lousy bookmarking and no copy text)
Anyway, I was giving Dolphin HD a shot because I like the way you can drag your bookmarks out from the left side. I actually like to have my bookmarks alphabetized (I know, NUTS, right?), but apparently Dolphin sees no need for this as they don't have any option to sort your bookmarks by any metric other than to drag each one by hand - a rough task if you have 200 bookmarks.
Dolphin does have this "Bookmarks to SD" add-on that will allow you to export your stock browser (universal) bookmarks to an html file, then import them back into Dolphin. Unfortunately, it somehow reverses the order of my A-Z alphabetized universal bookmarks so that they are Z-A in Dolphin.
I read on one of these threads that the Dolphin B browser was very good but I'm not sure, after using it, if it's any better than the browser that came on my phone from the factory. Any insight?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got around to re downloading it after Froyo and doing a master reset and its all different looking now.
View 16 Replies View RelatedEver since I got the Evo, I've been using Dolphin Browser HD -- the combination of tabbed browsing and great features make it an overall improvement over the HTC/Eclair browser.
Now that people are switching up to 2.2, are people switching back to stock for the much acclaimed speed improvements? Have people noticed significant differences between the new Froyo browser and Dolphin HD?
It is possible to block all the background work dolphin do with ads and the other unneeded service which use data and battery?
Suppose you leave dolphin open on a simple page while you are reading he is continuously using your system even if you don't need...It's really heavy specially for the battery.
The layout and options as auto Fullscreen are amazing but i would like it working as the stock browser without connecting in the background with the dolphin server without permission...

Is there a setting somewhere in the stock browser that will force pages to open in full version instead of the mobile version?
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy browser shuts off and returns to the home screen when I'm browsing the net. I have only had my phone for three days and other than the battery life, I have had no other problems.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone have any recs on a browser to run faster than the stock Android browser on the Moment?
I downloaded Dolphin, which gets a lot of positive reviews on these forums, but found that it ran even slower than the stock. Tried Steel but it wouldn't load on my Moment.
Am used to Opera Mini on my Instinct loading faster than what I'm getting with the Moment which I find hard to accept given how much faster the phone is supposed to be...
Features:
- Fast work;
- Ease of management;
- Supports control gestures;
- Multi-touch;
- Synchronize with Google Bookmarks;
- Download videos from YouTube;
I was reading about the stock browser storing screen shots on the phone. Someone recommended using Dolphin. So which Dolphin browser do people use? Dolphin, Dolphin HD, or Dolphin License?
View 29 Replies View RelatedI have noticed when I visit a website on this browser it renders the page very small. I compared it side by side with the regular Dolphin browser that renders pages in normal size. Of course I can pinch zoom but its annoying to have to do that on the hd version,.. am I missing something maybe? Also I cant find youtube on the hd version...
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen using the stock browser, I am able to go to and see actual websites whereas using the dolphin browser, entering the same web addresses leads me to the mobile version of the website. I rather the actual website. I tried looking under the settings of the dolphin browser for a fix but to no avail...
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I just got the HTC Evo yesterday and I've just been playing around with it. I just downloaded the free version of HD Dolphin because I wanted to try it. The thing is I can't figure out how to use it or set it as my browser. I can't even find it on my applications, but it says that it's installed when I go to the Market. And I tried to go to Settings Applications. But then I couldn't find anything on changing the default settings.
View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if there is a way to increase the maximum number of tabs you can have open at once in Dolphin Browser, or possible another tabbed browser with a higher limit?
My EVO runs great with tons of free RAM when I have 8 tabs open in Dolphin Browser. I would like to have the ability to open several more.
