Anyone knows how to correctly apply HSXPA hack?I know im supposed to add lines "ro.ril.hsxpa=1" and "ro.ril.gprsclass=10" to "/system/build.prop" file,but where do i add those lines in the file?Or it can be anywhere and doesn't matter?

I'm wondering, MMS app seems to convert hire pics to somewhere around 100KB. Is there a way to send picture messaging with losing quality? Like if I send 2 MB pic, the recipient get 2 MB pic as well. Instead, No matter what size you send, they get a pixelated picture.

Ok from Velocity 0.2 with Clockworkmod and V9 SW version I flashed the stock V6 Rom, then flashed stock recovery. got ota updates to V8 and then ZVB without any errors. SW Version on phone read VS740ZVB. I then rerouted, applied Clockworkmod recovery and installed Velocity 0.2 and then the GNMTurbo4 kernel. SW Version on phone reads VS740ZVB. Then another OTA update showed up. It claimed to be 24.9MB just like the ZVB update. Of course it would not install because I was using custom recovery.
My question is, what is this update? Is it the ZVB update coming through again? Did my ZVB update not apply correctly or is it not recognized by Verizon since I'm using custom recovery and rom? Is there a new update that I'm missing out on, and if so, what is it, and do I need to apply it?
Lots of questions, I know.Just wondering what exactly is going on and do I need to do anything about it? Is there any way to pull info on this update from the downloaded file, and if so, where can I find the file and how do I get info from it?

Alright whats up people I was recently searching through and through for a way to get mobile internet without paying that ridiculous android price so as I was searching I stumbled across a regular behold forum at Samsung Behold Forum - New Proxy (TMobileX (Free Internet!)) - UPDATE: Analysis 01.07.10 -> 1500 Users because someone said free internet for it and I gave it a run to see if it would work with our behold 2 and surely enough it does.
Instructions on how to use proxy:
Open up the (default) browser on your Samsung Behold.
Type in the following address into the : tmo-x.co.cc/tmobilex/
Type in the address you want to visit in the form on the page and select whether or not you want to use my HTML trick (free; allows you to see sites in full HTML not 'WAP-stripped').

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter many attempts to try and use the terminal emulator that is already preloaded onto the behold 2 , and many failures..After trying out different Terminal Em.'s and always having my phone lag because they wernt made for it...i have finally found a way to get terminal emulator working with no lag or no slow down in performance... First you must have root,of course, Next, Use an app called root explorer or something similar and goto the folder /system/app/ and find the two files Term.apk and Term.odex, and MOVE them to your sd card from your phone,you want them gone from your system/app folder After that simply goto the market and search for Terminal Emulator , re-download and there you have it, Working term. em. on the behold 2.Peace Ladz.

So i would like to root it and run a factory1.6 no twiz rom on it, but I'm having issues while doing it!....
I was succesfully able to get adb to detect my phone serial. but whenever I type in: adb shell /data/local/try3 /system/bin/sh
in the CMD, it returns with "permission denied"
After the last firmware update the sound was pretty low,so i wanted to increase the volume... tried the volume hack but it did not increase the headphone volume,only the handset volume..... this is kinda a hardware fix...

Then pres menu key, key input,and type in 5fff , this increases the gain to about 4db,wich is in my opinion the best option. after u inputed the value pres menu key and select end. no restart needed,just open music player and press play and you will see the differences. I was about to sell my i7500 because of lack of headphone volume but now im happy...i think this will work with i5700 and moment,haven;t tried it though!

I have been trying to put it back on and all I ended up doing was bending it.I got my hands on an HTC Leo Windows mobile 6.5. Best implementation of an SD card slot ever.

Sprint release the 2.1 update for the Samsung Moment today. Here is the link to the update on Sprint's website. Will this update work for our Behold II? I'm willing to try to install it on mine (I'm currently running 1.6 no twiz). What do you think guys?

View 9 Replies View RelatedG1 and my Behold 2 her phone had good reception and the behold had nearly none. Half the time I don't get phone calls. They go straight to VM. My roommate's BB pearl gets double the reception mine does. My other roommate's Nokia gets even better reception. All on the T-mo network. Another friend who has a G1 same thing, he has reception I don't. Not to mention the other problems I have had. This is my 3rd Behold II by the way. Been replaced twice and back to Samsung for 3 weeks once.

I can probably boot into recovery and flash any zip but currently I cannot get to the home screen as it is locked so Lock 2.0 or other Market app is not a solution.
I just rooted to Zeffie's and now im stuck. I cant figure out how to apply a theme, and Im not sure what else I can do now that I'm rooted.
