Not sure if this goes here or not, but I am having problems getting my Windows 7 machine to recognize my BH2. Is there a way to get the drives so I can install them so I can use my Mass Storage on my phone?

I have had this phone since April and it has been pretty disappointing overall with the whole not upgrading to Android 2.1 and such, but that's not the issue right now. I bought a new laptop about 2 weeks ago and I want to use my phone with my laptop. I download the drivers for the phone and they could not install and everytime I connect the phone to the computer it says the device is not recognized. The phone now can't connect and I can't see the files that are on the phone. I want to be able to put music and videos on my phone and I can't now. It works perfectly fine one my desktop which is an XP, but I wont be able to use the desktop because I will be leaving for college soon.

Some of you are probably already searching for drivers. Ya I already went through that freak out when I got my Vibrant. Okay, to mount your phone, and have your computer recognize the internal/external memory, do this:Connect your phone to your computer via USB. Give it a few seconds.Next, PULL DOWN your notification bar. Next, tap your finger on "USB CONNECTED"You then get a message asking if you would like to mount. Tap "mount" confirming you would like to do so.Enjoy, your computer should now recognize the internal/external memory.BTW, reverse this process before pulling the usb cable out. Always remove a cable safely, otherwise the data can get corrupt. Don't just yank your cable out.Edit: some of you may also find the following useful. Hopefully the Epic is similar to the Vibrant in these setting

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter successfully sorting out all the troubles of connecting SGS to KIES, and been using it happily for almost a month, now I'm facing another trouble which is quite big this time. Windows Vista (32-bit) and Windows 7 (64-bit) can't recognize the phone when connected through the USB. Got a message says the USB Device/Hardware Is Not Recognized. I'm using the SGS original cable. The cable was working perfectly and now suddenly it doesn't work in data mode but still able to recharge the phone battery. Am I having a cable problem? Or worst, the USB connector (on the phone) problem? I tried to clean the USB connector on the phone but still can't connect the phone to my computers.

I couldnt get my device to show up so I used "deview" to remove the drivers so i could reinstall them. Now my computer tells me it is unable to locate them.

I just got the Captivate. (It replaces my iphone 4). I am trying to sync with Windows Media Player, but I need drivers for that. I downloaded the modem drivers, but it did not do the trick. I am using Vista x 32.

What driver am I missing? I read that there should be four. One for adb? I have even tried selecting the adb driver and it still only installs the three. I build computers for a living and can not for the life of me figure this out.
First off, i have vista x64 and I installed the drivers and my computer recognizes it but when i put my phone into debugging mode i get that sound on my computer but nothing happens. On the phone there isn't a usb icon in the top left either.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI use Windows 7, received my Vibrant a few weeks ago and have been having a great time, but my phone doesn't mount! It mounted the very first time but after making a potential mistake, it stopped. Here's what happened: Yesterday I installed several apps (Beautiful Widgets, WidgetLocker, just for reference), and for the first time since receiving my handheld, wanted to add some files to it via my pc. I connected my Android as usual only to find that while both the phone & sd card were recognized on my computer, both contained no records, which was obviously a glitch.
I then tried unmounting my phone, and screwed up by selecting for my phone to be a media device rather than mass storage. Windows began searching for the device drivers, was unable to find them, and gave the message: "device driver software was not successfully installed." And now, whether mounted or not, windows no longer recognizes my phone's storage. My Android however, has no problems going from mounted to unmounted. However, I have tried connecting my phone to two other computers and none recognize my device.
i got the drivers working and adb recognises it. now odin wont recognize the phone!!! do i have to put in download mode?

~Windows XP SP2, 32bit
~The SDK is installed and working.
~The USB drivers have been downloaded through the SDK.
~The phone is in USB Debug mode.
~The USB drivers have been installed in windows.
~Windows device manager shows that everything is working fine.
~Windows recognizes the phone when it is plugged in.
The ONLY thing that does not work is that the phone won't show up in the list of devices adb sees. Everything else appears to be setup and working just fine!
I have installed the Motorola USB driver on two computers now and it will not come up when i plug the phone in. I installed the leaked jelly bean and i want to flash back to ICS. Could that be a factor?

When I hook it up it tells me usb device not recognized then inside it says Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) Port_#0006.Hub_#0005. I have bought a new cable < universal> I did not have the OEM cable and Samsung refused to send me one said it was tmobiles responsibility. I have hooked it up to a Vista 32 bit system and nothing. Also when I hook it too the usb it only shows charging no usb notification on the screen. I seem to remember reading it should have a usb symbol on the upper right corner? I have also already set the system setting to usb mass storage.
