So, after having the BHII for awhile with a screen protector over it- I just noticed there something that looks like it could be an LED to the right of the T-mo logo.I don't recall seeing any documentation about it. What is it?An LED or a face sensor?

I was trying to the galaxy app on my behold 2. Once I rebooted the phone it stays stuck on a "samsung" logo that glow, but nothing else. I tried removing the battery and restarting, but it still stays stuck on the SAMSUNG logo..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can root a g1 with ease but I sort of got into trouble with the behold. This might sound stupid but do I need to root the phone before I install the port galaxy 1.6? I just did this.
1. download odin here Odin Multi Downloader v4.03.exe
2. download any Of BH_MAN ODIN Ready Rom's
3. download winrar ( google it) to extract the BH_MAN zip file.
4. follow these instruction

And my phone was stuck on the android logo. do I need to root first and where can I find this? Is this where I go.

Can I do this method even though my phone is stuck on the android screen? How can I get back to default at least?
Just for starters I have not rooted my phone or done anything of that nature. I've only had the phone for about two weeks. I've had an issue with it rebooting on me, though it was due to Locale since the first time it rebooted on me, that was the only thing I had done to the phone. The developer said there was an issue with the api's from samsung.Well since then I havent used Locale, removed it, yet its rebooted just a couple of times(compared to 3 times in an hour when I had locale). Now today, I found my phone completely unresponsive. Black screen, no lights, dead. I pulled the battery, reinserted and tried to power on. It charged overnight so it cant be a dead battery.
When I plugged in, the battery charging logo didnt show up, so I did a reset(vol down+ call+ power), got the behold ii boot logo with Recover text, so I hit the home button. I then got a logo I've never seen. It was a logo of the phone with the warning exclamation point inside a triangle. I left the phone alone for a while but it was still there. I pulled the battery again, reinserted and powered on to a normal boot and the phone came on.I'm going to talk to Tmobile about replacement as this is really weird and I havent seen anyone else say thing like this. And just for info, my battery does have the same serial number that others have found to have an issue with. I'll update with any other info I find out, but I'll probably just get a straight swap without any feedback.
What is the best thing you can do with your captivate? Well, I like the navigation and google sky, but most importantly it is a phone. The call quality is good and people can hear me well in the wind. I love the way the phone rests in my hand with its size and shape. Also, it is reported to have a low SAR around .5 Hopefully I'll find another new and amazing use for this device.

It's barely visible and it doesn't do anything but it looks like it was clearly going to be used for LED.
I'm talking about on the left side of the earpiece...next to it, it's barely visible, there are two circles...I'm pretty sure that's where the LED would've been if it was implemented...so what gives? Why didn't Samsung implement the LED when clearly the design is right there...?
If you can't see it, I recommend looking under a lamp, it's hard to see without a source of light. It's on the left side of the earpiece. Is it possible the upcoming update can make that little circle into an LED notification O.O?

View 13 Replies View RelatedAlright whats up people I was recently searching through and through for a way to get mobile internet without paying that ridiculous android price so as I was searching I stumbled across a regular behold forum at Samsung Behold Forum - New Proxy (TMobileX (Free Internet!)) - UPDATE: Analysis 01.07.10 -> 1500 Users because someone said free internet for it and I gave it a run to see if it would work with our behold 2 and surely enough it does.
Instructions on how to use proxy:
Open up the (default) browser on your Samsung Behold.
Type in the following address into the : tmo-x.co.cc/tmobilex/
Type in the address you want to visit in the form on the page and select whether or not you want to use my HTML trick (free; allows you to see sites in full HTML not 'WAP-stripped').
I just got my phone about 4 days ago, and when opening apps, unlocking, opening contact lists etc etc, it just lags heaps. Does anybody else have the same issue? Could it just be an optimization thing or something?

I didn't back them up either (I know I'm an idiot) well now I need somethings back, like voice recorder. But I can't seem to figure out how to do that. I can format the phone clear all the stuff but nothing brings it back. How do I restore this thing to factory defaults with everything installed????? I'm also getting tons of error messages now too...
View 20 Replies View RelatedAfter many attempts to try and use the terminal emulator that is already preloaded onto the behold 2 , and many failures..After trying out different Terminal Em.'s and always having my phone lag because they wernt made for it...i have finally found a way to get terminal emulator working with no lag or no slow down in performance... First you must have root,of course, Next, Use an app called root explorer or something similar and goto the folder /system/app/ and find the two files Term.apk and Term.odex, and MOVE them to your sd card from your phone,you want them gone from your system/app folder After that simply goto the market and search for Terminal Emulator , re-download and there you have it, Working term. em. on the behold 2.Peace Ladz.

I was succesfully able to get adb to detect my phone serial. but whenever I type in: adb shell /data/local/try3 /system/bin/sh
in the CMD, it returns with "permission denied"
Does anyone know if you can use any multitouch because any app that says it has multitouch doesn't work

I have been trying to put it back on and all I ended up doing was bending it.I got my hands on an HTC Leo Windows mobile 6.5. Best implementation of an SD card slot ever.

View 9 Replies View RelatedG1 and my Behold 2 her phone had good reception and the behold had nearly none. Half the time I don't get phone calls. They go straight to VM. My roommate's BB pearl gets double the reception mine does. My other roommate's Nokia gets even better reception. All on the T-mo network. Another friend who has a G1 same thing, he has reception I don't. Not to mention the other problems I have had. This is my 3rd Behold II by the way. Been replaced twice and back to Samsung for 3 weeks once.

Has anyone gotten a better keyboard on a Behold 2? Every time i install Better Keyboard or the voice type, my Behold locks up (4 hard resets yesterday). I get an error about twsettings, the phone starts to mess up, i reboot, and it locks up. I cant get it to finish booting. It freezes on the android logo screen (45 minutes). I like Better Keyboard.I really dont like the Samsung keyboard but im sick of hard resets.
View 15 Replies View Related i was running the latest version of Slim Kat rom for my i9100 when it turned off and then was stuck on samsumg boot logo. When i try to access twrp it just says teamwin and wont go any further. It happened once before and so i just flashed a stock rom and then went back to rooting it. However, now when i try to flash any rom (stock/custom), or another recovery with odin it freezes at "nand write start". I have access to download mode which is really the only thing i have working atm
Ive read around and done everything (eg try other usb ports/cables/odin version) but no luck. Is there anything else i could do? I dont wanna do a pit flash cause im scared ill completely screw it up.
Is anyone know how to reset Behold II with key combination to hard reset?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was rebooting my phone today and it every time I try it gets stuck on The Galaxy S logo with the big flashing "S" on the screen. It acts like it is going to boot up but just after the ATT screen and the boot sound it gets stuck. I did the one-click-lag-fix about 2 weeks ago and the phone has been running smooth ever since. My wife and daughter are on the road so not having a phone really stinks right now.

Before this I'm on v2.3.3, rooted. Then I try to flash MIUI ROM where resulting my tab to stuck at boot screen. Try to restore nandroid backup, still stuck at samsung logo plus now cannot reboot into recovery. Download mode still can access.
My S3 stuck when i instal CRT app. The problem is i instaled CRT for GT-I9500 but mine is GT-I9300(S3) i saw the mistake when already was instaled the zip file from recovery mode. Now i cant fix my phone. I try with : wape cache partition ; wape data / factory reset but he is stucked.
