Jul 28, 2010Is there a way to install 1.6 without OTA? Amazingly, I can't find an answer with Google. I did it with 1.5 with my G1 back in the day, so I'm assuming it is possible. Just can't find any way how.

Aug 18, 2010I have had this phone since April and it has been pretty disappointing overall with the whole not upgrading to Android 2.1 and such, but that's not the issue right now. I bought a new laptop about 2 weeks ago and I want to use my phone with my laptop. I download the drivers for the phone and they could not install and everytime I connect the phone to the computer it says the device is not recognized. The phone now can't connect and I can't see the files that are on the phone. I want to be able to put music and videos on my phone and I can't now. It works perfectly fine one my desktop which is an XP, but I wont be able to use the desktop because I will be leaving for college soon.

Mar 27, 2010I just ran the persistent root and it worked great. I'm trying to copy Arabic fonts from the memory card into the phone but am running into a problem after running adb shell. The device is recognized by the pc and lists it as "sgh-t939". But the second command I think it wants to remount the memory card [ remount rw ] and I'm encountering a problem -- displays "remount: not found" I am simply following directions for adding the same fonts from a rooted galaxy. I have highlited where I'm stuck in red.

Mar 27, 2010I'm sure all you modders know this, but as a newbie to the behold 2 i wanted to share this with all the other newbs. If you want to run your phone twice as fast without rooting, just install PandaHome [free] from the Market. It takes the phone from being utterly dead to very usable. I read there is another home replacement but its not free like pandahome. I like the behold 2 but I'm not sure why samsung decided to destroy a good thing. This could have been a very successful model had they just left the OS alone and not included bloat software.

Mar 29, 2010Has anyone tried using GDE with the 1.6 Roms? I have and it seems the widgets I place on the home screen do not function properly. They become unresponsive and do not update. I like the ability to change the number of home screens and I like the app dock and conversation widgets built into GDE, they work fine. Other widgets don't ie., facebook, battery left, pandora and etc.

Apr 19, 2010I have a question that I'm not sure if it's even possible since they are two completely different ROMS. I have been running BH-man's Galaxy 1.6 Rom R8 and have been loving it but the two things that have not been working is starting to become a factor and Im really needing Vibrate and the default BH2 camera features. So with that being said, I went ahead and made the switch to the Behold 2 1.6 with No Twiz, and is very fast and nice, minus a few features from the Galaxy rom. Now, I have been wondering if its even possible to have the Dialer & Contact interface from BH Mans Galaxy 1.6 added to this default ROM without it messing anything up. If that is possible, would a pullpush the two files over to the 1.6 no Twiz Rom work? I know that at one point BH_Man has done this in the past but it was based off 1.5 I believe.

Jan 23, 2010does anyone know how to fix the speakerphone for bh2 with the galaxy rom? i flashed mine 6 times already tried to update 1 over and over and over still not working right it turns on sometimes with very very low volume... and sometimes it won't just turn on at all.... i have been asking people in behold2 chat but they are saying it's a known issue but i just wanna get this thing fixed and get over with because i use my speakerphone a lot but just to let you guys know who doesn't have this rom... I downloaded Voodoo (something) rebooted in recovery mode, and selected the file installed it and rebooted the phone. my phone turned on showing on the screen only Samsung and above it Vibrant. a voice on the phone told me "this will take 15 minutes." and that was it. the phone is now stuck on that opening screen and I can not get to download or recovery mode. It does charge if turned off and plugged in.

Is this phone modified by Verizon not to allow apps or did I get a bad phone?
