I am new to both android and NeXus One. I have pictures for my contacts. when i place a call, the picture of that contact wont show up in the box; it has the green robot instead. when i end my call, the picture shows up for one second.. is it a software problem, or android just does it that way?

I have both gmail and facebook synced to my phone and have chosen to only sync fbook contacts that are already in my gmail. Problem is the picture selection seems to be completely random. Some contact pictures are from gmail, some contact pictures are from fbook and some are from gmail when I first setup the phone and never changed. Is there an easy way to help the phone 'decide' which photo to go with?

I've taken pictures with my evo to use for contact pics, and have transferred high quality pics from my computer but no matter what I do the contact pic looks poor quality when they pop up? If there is a fix for this or I'm doing something wrong someone please let me know.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIs it just me or does the call screen (what displays when there is an incoming/active/ended call) look like crap? Ugly colors, minimal layout, contact picture too small, etc... So many other features on the phone are so polished, it just seems odd that the call screen would look so unfinished - it's almost looks like a development placeholder that they never got around to updating.

All my pictures are from Facebook so if everything works right the pictures I see in gvoice should be the same as the profile pix in FB.
is there a way to get a contacts picture to show their facebook picture in timescape. I have linked all my contacts with their facebook accounts but it still shows the default white picture. I dont want to have to go through and take pictures of all my contacts. that would just be silly.Apologies if this has been asked before or is a simple fix. I'm new to this smart phone malarchy
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use the backgrounds app, and it lets me save backgrounds to my SD card. I go into Astro/ sdcard/ backgrounds and then click on the picture. It gives me 2 options to open it. "ASTRO Image Viewer" and "View picture". For me to use it as a background I have to pull it up in "View picture", BUT....no matter how many times I try and pull it up that way, it shows me the first picture in my camera album. If I click "ASTRO Image Viewer", I can always see the picture I selected, but under menu, I only have the option to "share" and nothing else. Can you tell me why the selected picture won't show up in "View picture"?

When I get emails like this, I have to click on "Show HTML" or "Show Picture" every single time an email comes in if I actually want to see the email the way it was intended to be shown. I know for a fact that iphones and other email readers dont have any issues with this. Is there a setting to automatically display the email the way it was meant to be shown instead of having to click these buttons each time I want to view the email correctly? Or, perhaps there's already a market app that forces the android email client to display emails correctly?

Everytime I make a phone call or receive a phone call, the name and picture of one of my friends shows up as the last call. For instance, my dad could call me and in the phone log, it will show my dads number but my friend's name and picture. I deleted my friend's name and number from my phone and the issue still persists. If anyone has had this issue before or know how to solve this issue, please help me out!

I tried the pattern lock thing it has but if a call comes through or a text message comes through it still allows you to answer and/or view the message without entering the lock pattern..
Can you tell me how to turn off the vibrate every time I place a call? I cant find it anywhere.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I both have HTC Hero's (Sprint) and recently have been having problems sending and receiving pictures in our text (from each other as well as other people) If I send a picture to her, her phone will vibrate and the notification light will blink, but nothing will show up.
Now if I send a second picture the first one will show up on her phone, and if I send a third, the second one shows up and on and on. It happens the same way if she tries to send me a picture. The phones worked fine when we bought them in December. This problem has just started in the last month.
I have all my contacts in Gmail and sync'd with facebook on my desire.Some contacts I have images in google too (which are low res as we all know).I used Facebook Sync (or fbSync) from the market to pull images from facebook and upload to Gmail.This appears to work fine.Out of the contacts that have images for facebook and google contacts, some default to using the FB image (which is what I want) and some default to google.I need google images because HulloMail VVM only uses gmail contacts so I don't get a contact image unless I have a gmail ones for my voicemails.I have tried to find a trend between the contacts that default to google and those which don't but have been unsuccessful in finding one. I have tried turning off contacts sync but also to no avail.Has anyone else had this issue, or has anyone got any idea on what could be causing this please? I've been trawling the web for too long now and can't find any reference to this issue at all.

I've added a contact picture from my gallery to a contact. What I am struggling with now is how to remove that contact picture from that contact.
