Nexus : Way To Reinstall Stock Rom?
Jun 1, 2010My N1 has been giving me all sorts of issues so I would like to reinstall the standard Rom that the phone comes with. Where can I get this from as I could not find it on the htc site.

Nexus :: Deleted Facebook APK - How To Reinstall?
Nov 3, 2010I was trying to update my facebook app in the market but it wouldn't update. So I thought it was my custom ROM. I backed up the APK in titanium backup and uninstalled it. I then went back to market, but facebook still won't install. And titanium didn't backup facebook.apk properly. Now I don't have a facebook app.

Aug 22, 2010I'm having trouble with my facebook app the stock facebook app that came installed on my EVO. ever since i updated to froyo anytime i want to refresh my news feed it says "an error had occurred while fetching data [null]" I dont know what the problem is and i want to un-install the app and then re-install it like i said its the stock facebook app so i dont know how to un-install and re install stock apps.anybody?

Mar 10, 2013Last weekend I rooted my Galaxy S2 and was really happy that everything worked well. Yesterday morning I removed some packages which I thought are not required using Titanium backup without making a backup of them before!
That was in fact a big mistake, what's now happening is that after system reboot a popup appears telling me:
process com.sec.android.socialhub was terminated unexpectedly and what's even worse when I start the stock email application (com.android.email) it is terminated, too.
I need that program to connect to my work, they check remotely what application is used.
So my question is: how can I find out what I need to reinstall, where do I get it and how can I reinstall it?

When I send e-mails, the custom signature shows up at the bottom of my e-mail, which is perfect, but when I reply to an e-mail there is no signature. I don't see a setting on how to change it so that the signature always goes out with my e-mail.And if anyone is using a better e-mail app, please recommend one.

Oct 1, 2010I've been real happy so far with Stock N1 and universal androot. I love the root apps.
Now that the update is out (2.2.1. frg83) I wanted to update and still have root access on stock. I was not able to update because I had deleted stock apps like amazon, twitter, etc., with titanium. I had to flash a stock ROM and then update to 2.2.1 worked, but no root access.
I even unlocked the bootloader to see if that would give me instant root but it didn't.
How can I go about getting root access on my n1 with 2.2.1.? I want to run a stock ROM and use rooted apps like titanium. Also to get future updates like gingerbread OTA. I do not want a custom ROM like cyanogen. Just stock 2.2.1. with root access. Whats the easiest way to achieve this? I tried installing amon ra, and it still wouldn't give me root access, couldn't install superuser,busybox, etc.

Jul 13, 2010So now that we have the wireless hotspot option I'm done with root. Especially considering I haven't been able to get weather updates for the past two weeks and my phone restarts when trying to install new apps.
I'm ready to just set everything back to stock and go back to getting OTAs. I know I can't relock the phone.
My problem is, I have the stock recovery image however whenever I flash it and try to go into recovery it shows me this screen with a little android guy and a big triangle with an exclamation point inside. And then it sits there until I do a battery pull.
I've tried this with the stock recovery from a couple different sources MD5 checks are all good.

Jun 28, 2012I have a rooted Nexus S with Cyanogen 7.1.0.1 and I'm trying to get it back to stock. but the problem is that my phone won't recognize that it's being plugged into my PC. I have tried reinstalling the drivers and I have tried different USB ports and USB cables. Nothing seems to work. I have also tried restoring to an old backup I did months ago when there was nothing on the phone and it still won't recognize it.
Sometimes, very randomly, the PC will recognize that I've plugged in a device but it will automatically say that the drivers could not be installed.

Dec 7, 2013I have seen the nexus 4 unroot toolkit, I have a Nexus 4 running 4.2.2, TWRP, and Franco.Kernel. i want to upgrade the Nexus 4 to 4.4 KitKat, i never had the chance to upgrade to 4.3 because i was rooted. I do not mind loosing my root, franco.kernel or twrp, i just want to be able to get the new updates that are being released from google, and OTA if possible. it is super important to me that i don't loose my apps and data.

Nothing is worse than starting the car and the phone immediately hijacking the audio and starting to play a ringtone or something. The stock media player is awful. Sep 15, 2012Running a Galaxy Nexus on Stock 4.1.1 (rooted).Last week, Play Store randomly started giving me the DF-BPA-09 Error when I wanted to download new apps. Old apps would update fine. I searched XDA and found that turning Google Sync Off and restarting the phone solved it. It worked once or twice, but the problem kept coming back.
Then read another thread that said go to All Apps > Play Store >Uninstall Updates and Clear Data. I did this, and now when I start Play Store, it permenantly gives me 'Server Error', with a Retry Button below it.I have Titanium Backup Pro, so tried restoring an older version, tried Freezing and Unfreezing the App, still not working.
DF-BPA-09 Error used to come, Cleared Play Store Data and now stuck at Server Error.

Feb 7, 2013I'm experimenting with SIP/VOIP on my Android device (Galaxy Nexus). I'm using the SIP account settings in the stock dialer app, this works fine for dialing/voice.
The issue is there are no similar SIP settings for the stock SMS client... is this simply a feature that was not added for some reason? is there a technical reason why this is not possible? (other third party clients support it) or can the stock SMS client use SIP and I just can't figure it out?

May 22, 2010Today I tried to restore my phone back to stock ROM and as I was trying to get into recovery mode and complete a nand restore but it wouldn't let me get in. It would just reboot me back into bootloader. I tried updating my superboot and recovery image to 1.7 and it's just stuck at the loading screen now. Is there anyway to restore it?

I got the framework.jar using BakSmali
edited the AudioService.smali file
generated classes.dex
merge classes.dex with framework.jar using 7-zip
push new framework.jar to my nexus5
change permission on framework.jar
I change the AudioService.smali so i can have 30 steps instead of the default 15 steps.The following is what i have after modifications.

Note that 0x1Et should give me 30 steps but my nexus 5 still only give me 15 steps on Music/Bluetooth.
Results:
I am still getting 15 steps while listening to music on both headphone jacks and Bluetooth devices.
I double check the total number of steps with some apps and confirmed that the original 15 was not changed.
I also double check if my framework.jar are pushed correctly by re-pulling the framework.jar and looking into the AudioServices file and they are all the newly modded values.
