Sprint HTC Hero :: Do Deleted E-mails Stay In Trash Forever?
Dec 26, 2009My hero downloads my POP3 e-mails. I'm using the standard mail app. I read them on the phone and delete them. Do those deleted e-mails stay in the phone until I delete them from the trash folder? Pardon me for being lazy, but it is a pain to delete them from the inbox and then go to the trash folder and delete them again! Has anyone found a way to permanently delete e-mails from the inbox?

Apr 30, 2010I've been trying to load amonRA's recovery for my nexus one. I've managed to unlock the bootloader, and gain SU permissions. But for the life of me,I cant seem to flash the new recovery image. I've used better terminal, and it says that theres no flash image found. But I have Put it on SD Card. I've copied the text correctly and I cant get it to flash. I've also tried to downgrade the radio to get better reception, and its saying that the update isn't signed. Is there something still locked up?

Oct 29, 2010I have a Nexus one and I have made a bit of a mess of it when loading a custom rom. Previously I'd rooted (without unlocking) the stock (2.2) rom before loading Cyanogen 6, later Cyanogen nightlies and finally eViL-NXSense-v1213. I was rather enjoying the last one but had severe stability issues which I think was due to using Titanium Backup and restoring data. I was in the process of re-imaging to eViL-NXSense-v1213 after clearing the SD card, data and various caches when something seemed to happen to the recovery image. I can get into the boot loader but if I select Recovery it shows the Nexus One logo indefinitely and doesn't respond to the power button being pressed, the same happens if I turn it on from cold.
Is it possible that the recovery image has somehow been corrupted? If so what can I do to restore a recovery image that will enable me to install a custom rom. I would prefer not to unlock the boot loader but will do it if necessary.

I'm not sure how to put this so I'll try my best.When you have a picture as your wallpaper do you notice that when sliding between the screens they move ever so slightly?For example, I have an image of the lion in my avatar perfectly in the centre of my home screen, yet when I move the screen to the left or right it seems to move the image and cut some off. Is there a way around this?I've seen it on some people's screen shots but I'm not sure how to do it with a picture that you decide to use as a homescreen. No worries if it can't be done. It would just be nice, that's all.

Jun 16, 2010I've been stressing out the last few days about it. i have a few choices but i don't know what i should do. a second opinion could help. i just got a evo from sprint last week and to be honest, the phone is absolutely gorgeous. i really love it. the thing is, i'm still in a family plan with my parents on t-mobile which they're paying and my mom weren't happy when she found out i branched off. my contract was already over with t-mobile and i've been doing month to month for a year. so my choice is to keep the evo and pay for sprint or return it since i'm within 30 days and stay with t-mobile. the sad part about t-mobile is that they don't have any good phones beside the nexus one and the upcoming samsung galaxy s which i don't like the look of it at all. i'm thinking of ordering the nexus one through google but i'm not sure if it's worth 529 dollars plus tax. i also heard it has a few problems so that kinda push me away from it. anyway, what do you guys think i should do? both sprint and t-mboile has good coverage here. i just find out t-mobile has hspa+ which is a nice plus(no pun intended.) and sprint is going to have 4g here soon. i don't know about t-Mobile's customer service but sprint is really nice to me. i don't know what to do lol. i have a job so i can afford the evo and sprint but with t-mobile i'll pay less since i got the family plan and i'm contract free. so android forum members. tell me what i should do?

Apr 7, 2014I've gone into settings on my Nexus 5, and everything is checked right. Auto sync is on under data usage, and under the Google account. I've tried deleting and re-adding them etc.
Been googling this all day and none of the answers I've found have worked.
Every time I open Gmail, at the top it says "account sync is turned off"
How do I get it to stay on? Or is this a glitch I'm just gonna have to get used to/wait for a fix.

Nov 9, 2010Cut a small 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch square of black tape and place it over the light sensor in the upper left corner just to the left of the verizon logo and the soft key lights stay on when the screens on and they turn off when you turn the screen off. Works perfectly and really doesn't look that bad.

I've tried "LightFlow" but it didn't work, the screen has still gone on when I got an sms.Mention that with 3rd party apps (e.g. whatsapp and wunderlist) the thing works great, the screen is black, the led is on, and the air molecules near the speaker start oscillating harmonically.

Luckily enough, this game is movable. However, I have yet to find it useful because the LED light (other than battery indication) stops functioning after few minutes for missed calls, text msgs
I was hoping once they update it to 2.2, they would fix this problem.

But when I open it. Its just black and there is nothing in that file.

If you see a "$" (or "#" if you're already rooted) sign you're good. i can't figure that out. what is directory of the android sdk? i think i know but im now sure. i did everything on the android sdk tutorial but it seems i was just doing it on my computer and not my phone. how do i know if it went on my phone? and how do i put it on my phone if i didnt do it. am i suppose to sync it of just connect it.
