I am new in this forum and i would like to know how to install apps from the market on the memory card and not the phone memory. i tried to search on the phone but i could not find how.

Is there anyway I can install apps onto the memory card rather then the phones memory as I keep getting the 'memory low' message on my phone esp when I install games/apps that are around 15mb in size.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to download the "Desktop Visualizer" (a free app) but it wasn't showing up in the market, and no matter how I tried (QR codes, direct links, appbrain), I couldn't get it to download. Turns out it's copy protected, which seems to be the problem. I'm running 2.1 on my milestone (rooted) but I've googled a bit, and other rooted people don't seem to have this problem. Does anyone know what's causing it, and, if known, how to fix it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am unable to use Gtalk, gmail, Maps, Market, Email (all pre installed) using GPRS/EDGE (Vodafone Live) on my Milestone. But All of these works with Wi-Fi connection. I installed Meeboo Messanger, this is also not working with GPRS/EDGE.
I called Motorola Customer care, they are saying that I have to take a DataPlan from Vodafone and should ask Vodafone to activate all GPRS/EDGE settings on my mobile. So I took a DataPlan (200 Rs. 100 MB), Vodafone People are saying that all available setting are already activated on my cell. But I am still unable to use any of them above. Every time no network connection found error is coming.

Alright, lets get to the question. I have a Moto Droid and just recently I received a notification about running out of internal memory space. Is there a way to move the apps from my internal memory to my SD card without rooting the phone? If this is not possible is there any way to free up more internal memory space?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had this issue since the 2.2 leaks (2.2.9-2.3.15 and now with RubiX) and have finally gotten tired of it. When downloading apps or updates from the market, 1/2 the time it'll finish downloading but then won't install. It just hangs there at 100% and nothing happens no matter how long I leave it there. I have to cancel download and then re-download, sometimes multiple times, before it'll install it automatically. This happens with every app, and while I do eventually get everything install, it will still very annoying. Does anyone else have this issue?

I just ran the persistent root and it worked great. I'm trying to copy Arabic fonts from the memory card into the phone but am running into a problem after running adb shell. The device is recognized by the pc and lists it as "sgh-t939". But the second command I think it wants to remount the memory card [ remount rw ] and I'm encountering a problem -- displays "remount: not found" I am simply following directions for adding the same fonts from a rooted galaxy. I have highlited where I'm stuck in red.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAnyways I have just got myself a Sony Ericsson X10 and it's my first Android phone. I have upgraded from a Samsung Omnia running WinMo 6.5 and I must say I'm enjoying Android so much more already As I'm completely new to Android I have a few questions:
1, Installing Apps - The SE X10 only has 256MB internal memory and I have a 8GB memory card inside, I have noticed nearly everything I download installs to the internal memory. With my Omnia you can choose where to install it, is there a way to force it to install to the SD card or move it from the internal memory to the SD card?
2, Charging - For the first time ever I have never have come across a phone that fully turns it's self on from being fully turned off when a charger is plugged in and turned on. With any rechargeable device you need to give them a good charge (16+ hours) to give them a good life. But how can I do that as the battery is being used as its charging?
3, I've seen some stuff about rooting? I kinda understand it but what is the benefit of doing it? Is it risky? Is there any cons?
