Does HTC wildfire support installing applications on memory card? Because i heard that android Eclair 2.1 does not support that but Froyo 2.2 does not support.

Is there anyway I can install apps onto the memory card rather then the phones memory as I keep getting the 'memory low' message on my phone esp when I install games/apps that are around 15mb in size.

Is there anyway that I can see just the SIM card contacts as it shows up all of my contacts twice! When I hit the HTC people button it will just bring up a list of each contact only once, but this takes a few seconds to load.

I got my Wildfire a few days ago and have transferred work files, music etc over onto it along with installing a load of apps. The problem I have is that there is an 8GB memory card with 2.2 gb free and yet it keeps telling me the memory is low (17.31mb on the internal phone storage) and yet it is only giving me the option to uninstall things,. How do I move apps or anything else onto the sd card as I can't find a menu for this.

I'm trying to copy Arabic fonts from the memory card into the phone but am running into a problem after running adb shell. The device is recognized by the pc and lists it as "sgh-t939". But the second command I think it wants to remount the memory card [ remount rw ] and I'm encountering a problem -- displays "remount: not found" I am simply following directions for adding the same fonts from a rooted galaxy. Anyways I have just got myself a Sony Ericsson X10 and it's my first Android phone. I have upgraded from a Samsung Omnia running WinMo 6.5 and I must say I'm enjoying Android so much more already As I'm completely new to Android I have a few questions:
1, Installing Apps - The SE X10 only has 256MB internal memory and I have a 8GB memory card inside, I have noticed nearly everything I download installs to the internal memory. With my Omnia you can choose where to install it, is there a way to force it to install to the SD card or move it from the internal memory to the SD card?
2, Charging - For the first time ever I have never have come across a phone that fully turns it's self on from being fully turned off when a charger is plugged in and turned on. With any rechargeable device you need to give them a good charge (16+ hours) to give them a good life. But how can I do that as the battery is being used as its charging?
3, I've seen some stuff about rooting? I kinda understand it but what is the benefit of doing it? Is it risky? Is there any cons?
My phone is telling me my internal storage is nearly full, whereas I have a 4gb microsd card which is not being used.

Trying to delete unnesesary apps and junk off my phone. But it still runs slow, so i have joined this android forum seeking help. I can purchase a new phone an iphone 4 or HTC desire but i like my HTC wildfire and i enjoy the android operating system, the Wildfire's camera is amazing and the only thing i want to be able to do is make it faster.
