Why is my Market not showing apps that my friends' Market is? We are both from the same country too. Example if you search "EasySMS", you should get about 6 hits. For me, when I search "EasySMS", I only get 2 hits.

I've been trying to download the "Desktop Visualizer" (a free app) but it wasn't showing up in the market, and no matter how I tried (QR codes, direct links, appbrain), I couldn't get it to download. Turns out it's copy protected, which seems to be the problem. I'm running 2.1 on my milestone (rooted) but I've googled a bit, and other rooted people don't seem to have this problem. Does anyone know what's causing it, and, if known, how to fix it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am unable to use Gtalk, gmail, Maps, Market, Email (all pre installed) using GPRS/EDGE (Vodafone Live) on my Milestone. But All of these works with Wi-Fi connection. I installed Meeboo Messanger, this is also not working with GPRS/EDGE.
I called Motorola Customer care, they are saying that I have to take a DataPlan from Vodafone and should ask Vodafone to activate all GPRS/EDGE settings on my mobile. So I took a DataPlan (200 Rs. 100 MB), Vodafone People are saying that all available setting are already activated on my cell. But I am still unable to use any of them above. Every time no network connection found error is coming.
I have had a Milestone running Android 2.1 for about a week.

I just updated to Froyo(2.2).Now when I search for my apps in the marketplace they are not showing up.I had the minSDK set to 1.6(4) when I developed them.Why are the not showing with Froyo?This worries me somewhat,
View 6 Replies View RelatedAlright all of a sudden last night my installed apps have all disappeared under the downloads section of my android market. It only showed google maps. When I installed a new app it showed up right below google maps but still no sign of my missing apps.What's wrong? Is android market twitchy again? A reboot of the phone doesn't.

There are some apps that I cannot find in the market that use to be there in 1.5, whats with that?.. although there are some apps in the 2.1 market that are there that never were there in 1.5, like bluetooth file sharing app, Torque bluetooth vehicle engine diagnostics, etc.Looking for skype in the market, it's nowhere to be found from what I seen on the vzw moto - Droid commercial, it's suppose to be there. I set up the main account with a gmail account I made for my kids because the device is mainly used by them. I added my own google account so it can be used with the play store to redownload all the apps I have purchased for them. I have set the play store to use my google account.
But all the apps I have previously paid for have their price listed beside them in the store, rather than saying "purchased". If I try to buy them again it gives me message saying there was an error with the transaction.I have set up a device with 2 accounts like this before and it worked ok.
Not sure if anyone has noticed or if its just my phone.Im running the OTA2.1 rooted with the Aloysius Rom(has happened with other roms also) and it seems like every app that i have installed through Astro Manager doesnt show/update in the market.is anyone else having this problem whether your phone is stock or rooted?

I'm trying to find this game to no avail. I've tried using market enabler, and no lucky. Suggestions? I heard it appears fine in the UK market, so it'd be nice to try it out, alas market enabler doesn't come with its values in the default profiles.
I got my pal the Motorola Droid or Milestone as they call it here, I booted up the device checked for updates and it was the latest one (2.1 update1) , I couldn't find the Android Market app, so the phone is really sad without the market place, How can I bring it back.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI had an application installed and working perfectly. an updated came, it download it, and start the installation, and since then it is in "installing" permanently. nothing i've done, removed it.I've removed the application from the phone, reboot the phone, took out the battery, restart it again, still it appears as "installing" I've done the suggested things here in the forum (clearing the cachge, etc) nothing helps!I have a motorola milestone with android 2.1 version.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI'm stuck between a rock and a hard place (from what I can tell). Story as follows: Purchased a milestone from telus and unlocked in order to my current account. Previous SIM card was old and did not recognise Wifi, no data plan when phone first arrived therefore could not account sync with Google. New SIM card fixed wifi problem, data plan now on board. Still cannot sync accounts (can't establish reliable connection with server error message). Online research reco'd pulling out sim card/sd card which did not make a difference, and other minor setting variations all of which made no difference. Looks like a factory reset will resolve the issue but I would like to back up my SMS history as my understanding is that I will lose all SMS/MMS with the reset. (Other data is already backed up no problem). The dilemma is - apps to backup SMS history are available through android market. I cannot access android market as my phone will not account sync. Is there a way to dl an app online through my computer and then manually dump it to the phone? Is there a file where SMS are stored on the phone that will be recognized when the Milestone is connected to my computer? I feel like I'm going in circles(perhaps blindly) and would appreciate any geek-insight. I do not wish to root the phone as I do not have enough knowledge in this direction.

Also whenever I do something like browse the Internet or run pandora and play a game my phone freezes and then shuts off. Is this all direct result of 2.2?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just installed Froyo on my rooted droid, and every time I try to download Flash player from the market, it doesn't come up, and when I try to download it from the Adobe website, it redirects me to the market on my phone and says "invalid location" so I'm wondering if android is doing this on purpose or am I just ******ed? or is something just wrong with my update now lol. btw my phone does say version 2.2

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Motorola Milestone UK version with AT & T. G Mail and Yahoo etc work fine. Data plan also work perfect wih At&T 2G. AT&T 3 G can not use with Milestone because 3 G band of AT & T is not supoerted by Milestone.
However, real problem is that when I call anybody, he always finds my voice breaks on Milestone. When I switch to speaker they find my voice perfect. I can hear their voice clearly. Any body has same problem.
Secondly, I would like to dowload "Car Home" app which is available with Droid. It is not available in Market place. When I try to see how it is intsalled in my friend's droid, it shows 0 KB. Does this app is part of Android for Verizon. When I dock the phone in Car dock, as I dont have Car home app so phone does not pop up Navigation window which is part of Car Home. I can use Google Map manually. This is not big problem.
so I just convinced my boss that we should switch from our costly Ms exchange solution to google apps, as it can do all the same stuff we need and more. We all have Android phones and I have set up my HTC Desire (Android 2.2 sense UI) to sync with my google apps account, no problem.However my boss have the Motorola Milestone, and his android version just won�t sync with his google account. Every time I try adding a google account with his mail address (name@ourdomain.dk), I just get a �no network connection� error. But I can browse internet and youtube just fine.I have searched the forums, and it seems other people can add their google apps accounts just fine, while some have problems.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got 2.1 update OTA yesterday. it runs better, and a little smoother/faster on most everything. the problem I am experiencing is that I can just power on the phone but within 5 minutes, I have 10-15 apps showing up in ATK. I kill the apps, and within 5 minutes I have 10-15 apps again. I am not opening the apps, but they just appear. I know this is draining my life, and may be the cause for a lot of other peoples battery issues since 2.1. Can anyone help?
I have unplugged the battery for about 7 hours(overnight), but no change. Iam in the process of running the battery down completely to shutoff then recharging. This is quite annoying.
When I am using Apps, IE. Facebook, Messing, or Browseing the web, I miss incoming calls, the caller (WIFE and others) goes directly to my voice mail, I have checked to see it the check box in the contacts section is check or not (the one that tells the contact to go to VM), and it is UNCHECKED, yet calls still goto VM, the even go to VM after i am done surfen or Texting, is there some way to tell the phone or a check box that i can check to accept all incoming calls no mater what i am doing, i have even called CS to see if CALL FWDing got turned on some how, they told me nope!
