My Seidio Innocase and the Zagg shield saved my droid today. I made a boneheaded move and left the droid on my car bumper and shut the hatch. There's very little space there. Phone got jammed in. The screen had a big line across it. I thought it was cracked but it was just dirt. The innocase now has a dent on each end...it clearly saved the phone.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI've been happy with my Seidio case so far, but this is the second top that I have had that won't stay on after a couple of months. I am three weeks out of warranty now and they refused to replace the top. I like my case, but I will never buy a Seidio again. What good is a case if the top doesn't stay on after 4 months? I hope the otterbox case i try next will be better.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo far I have been quite unhappy with my Seidio Innocase for my droid. I have the Sapphire blue case, but have gone through about 5 of them through RMA's. My top half of the case always seems to progresively get looser and looser has time goes on. They have shipped me brand new cases that are supposed to fit better then the old ones. They always start off nice and tight, but slowly get looser and looser. Anyone else having trouble with this? Im tempted now to completely return it all together because RMA's are a real pain.So anyone have any suggestions for a different case that they love for their phone? I have tried the plastic hard shells from Verizon but those were terrible, other then that I am open to suggestions.

View 25 Replies View RelatedI currently have the leather snap on case that VZW sells, the little plastic clips that snap it on break way too easily so I am looking at higher quality cases and especially the Seidio and Otterbox cases. The Otterbox case looks higher quality IMO and also probably more protective. I just want to be sure that the plastic clips will not break and let the case fall off every 5 minutes. Any opinions would be helpful.

So if mAh is 2x higher than stock, it will last 2x as long, under same conditions. I did a mock-up of what it would be like with the "extended battery door", which is pretty close to what is pictures, and it felt easier to type using the hard keyboard.
View 49 Replies View RelatedTrip this weekend to a competition my son was involved in...we had to drive about 150 miles to another city, navigate between four different locations while up there, and then get back home the next day. The previous year when we'd gone to this event we had gotten lost twice and actually missed being able to watch most of one event we were so late. So the pressure was huge to avoid a similar situation this year.I set up nav shortcuts on one of my home pages to each of the four locations in the other town the night before. So in the morning we pulled out of the garage, I tapped the icon for the first destination and off we went, faultlessly directed to our hotel.
On the way there, my wife says "I'd really like to hear some music, do you have any Elton John?" (So sue her, she's a child of the 70's. ) "Nope," says I "but I think I know where we can find some." So I tell her how to fire up Slacker on the Droid and she enters "Elton John" and a few seconds later she is rocking to the sound of "Crocodile Rock" and various other artists she likes.Nav interrupted Elton et al when necessary to provide directions.Used the shortcuts the rest of the weekend to move between the four locations w/out fault. Looked up traffic a few times to decide whether to bail on a route or not.No screams of "What street do I turn on, what street!?!" from me, and no wails of "I can't tell, I can't tell - Oh the humanity!!!" from my wife. Pure wedded bliss maintained, with Slacker providing the 70's soundtrack for the our weekend montage.
The internal meter says it is due for charge long before its out of juice. Battery Left widget will give accurate voltage levels, but it too is fooled, even after proper calibration.

I still want a Defender case, but the Commuter is a nice series as well.DROID by Motorola Commuter Series Case // OtterBox.com What is nice about this though, the Otterbox case has plugs for all the ports on the Droid to keep out dust/ water and is made from a three layer protective material that absorbs shock fairly well, yet remaining slender. The blackberry therefore knew when it was in the case and when it wasn't. I'd make the Blackberry lock as soon as I put it in the case. Is there a way to do this same functionality for a droid?

I want one that fits nice and is lined with leather. I use the home and car dock frequently therefore I think a holster is the best style of case for me. That it keeps message history in your contacts is in and of itself reason enough, but the final straw was when I just tried to save an email only to realize THERE IS NO SAVE FOLDER!If there is an app that will allow me to save an email (right now the only folders are inbox and trash) please let me know, or this crap goes back. By the way, I don't mean save an attachment. I mean save an email. On the storm if you hit save on any type of message it goes to your saved folder. Even if you delete everything in your inbox. To delete it once you've saved it you must delete it from the saved folder.

View 14 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have an issue with their Media Volume being set to 0 and when you adjust it, either when in an app (YouTube, mp3 player, RingDroid) or via Settings>Sound>Volume, it still won't adjust? I can't set the volume for Media no matter how I try. It visibly shows that I raised it in Settings, but then I back out and go back in to check, it's 0 again.
When I am in RingDroid, for example, I hit the volume button, the pop up for Media Volume shows at 0, and won't let me raise it with the volume buttons same for YouTube, etc. I know previously, I've reset the phone to fix it, but this is ridiculous. I don't know what's causing it other than possibly putting my phone on vibrate while at work, but that shouldn't affect the Media Volume, just Ringer and Alerts. And before anyone suggests it, I took the phone Off vibrate mode and still get the same result.
I'd like to set the homepage of the default browser on my Droid2 to a simple local HTML file. From what I've found this should be possible again, but I can't seem to get it to play nice with me. Is it possible now (without too much monkeying around)? While I'm thinking of it: are the brower's bookmarks saved as a webpage? That might make things more convenient.

I got a Droid 2 car dock based on the recent video and it does not work with the protective case. I have the protective case that Verizon sells with the criss-cross pattern on it. I don't see any other markings to identify it more clearly.
I need a solution where I can dock the Droid in the car (with power to the Droid) while still in the case. Does anyone know of a combination that works? I searched the forums but could not find an answer to this specific request.
Just wondering if there can ever be a protective case made for the Droid. I understand it is a slider and I've never had a slider before. Done a google search and came up with nothing.
