Nov 19, 2009Im not a big fan of that little tab that opens up the extended menu with icons. i rather just use all 3 home screens for my icons and get rid of that tab.

Feb 23, 2010So through a weird assortment of events i managed to crack the screen on my Eris. But this is the trippy part, I didnt break the glass but the touch sensors underneath. So now i am unable to use the menu or home buttons and the entire left part of my screen and more. I am unable to unlock my device in anyway that i know(menu button, the slider). Is there any other way to unlock it? I now have 11 unread texts and 4 voicemails that I desperately want to view. Oh and I know some of you won't be happy about what I'm about to say but.... I took the leap to the moto droid. I had the chance to get it on a 1 year because I didnt get insurance and I went for it. I will really miss my Eris but the keyboard lag was just killing me.

I know that the android version 2.3.4 (cool ic sense) doesn't allow this function, as it was added later in newer android versions (or sense versions?).
Either way, is it possible to go inside the rom and edit the sense launcher, so that it only shows 3 screens for example.

I was on my main Home screen and just trying to figure stuff out and when I long press the menu key it brings up the onscreen keyboard. I figured it was for contact search or something, but it did nothing when I typed...or so I thought. Now everytime I back out to the Home screen a little transparent "window" displays with letters i first typed. I cant type new letters to display or even use the backspace key to erase. Feb 6, 2013I've been playing with various widgets, putting them on the home screen & building groups of apps to keep the screen simple, so I can actually see my wallpaper. (Nothing special, just pics I like.)
Problem is that huge Google bar at the top. Is there an simple way to get rid of it, like the select-drag-drop for other home screen stuff.?Also, there seems to be some limits on where I can actually put apps or widgets. Is there a way to adjust this too?I'd really like to put a dashboard widget in place of that Google bar.
Finally, is there a way to disable Google when I select or swipe nearby the bottom of the screen?
This is a real pain-in-the-patootie when playing solitaire & the cards get near the bottom of the screen.
HTC Incredible :: On Home - Menu - Back - Search Notations On Phone Between Trackball And Screen
May 3, 2010On my incredible, the home, menu, back, and search notations on the body of the phone below the screen and above the trackball are not illuminated 95% of the time. If I am in the dark the notations are illuminated for a while, even when in a bright room. Then they go dark again.
Questions: Is there a setting I can adjust which can illuminate these notations all the time? Is this normal behavior?
