Two small little articles by the same guy showing off the capabilities of the Droid X camera and HD camera in day and night.Just from what we have so far from little clips from different websites, there's no competition between Droid X and EVO. I don't think it's as good as the iPhone 4, but the quality is still very high and currently the best ever on an Android device. Rejoice for progress!

The Motorola site offers a free download of something called "Motorola Media Link" which it claims will enable you to easily move and sync music, photos, and video between your computer and your Android phone -- it claims to work with iTunes and with Windows Media Player. Have any Phandroids downloaded and installed this? And if so, how is it working? I am getting a Motorola Droid on Friday and wonder if this download (assuming it works with Android 2.0) is a must-have for me. Is there an app that would tell the user, how many available photos/minutes of video on a given available SDHC memory space?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just mounted my Evo as a disk drive so I could backup some of my older photos and then delete them from the SD card to free up space. Well I deleted over 1gb of media files and when I unmounted the SD card it still showed the same amount of free space as before.I opened up Astro File Manager to see if I could find the problem and the files were deleted from the various folders but when I clicked the menu button and selected Tools, I went to view the SD card usage and noticed a folder labeled .Trashes which contained the 1+gb of files that I deleted from the card.The problem is, I am unable to clear the .Trashes folder and free up that extre 1gb of space that I should have...Is there something I am doing wrong? How do I get that extra space back because there is no option to delete or clear the .Trashes folder and when the phone is mounted as a disk drive there is no path to that specific (.Trashes) folder.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI accidentally deleted a bunch of photos and a video from my Samsung Galaxy Express SGH-I437. I have been trying to recover the deleted files with no luck so far. I have been able to root the phone with motochopper and have put the phone in debugging mode. I just can't seem to get into it though. how I might be able to get my files restored.

On my wifes Droid X when ever she goes to contacts, the photos take about 3-5 seconds to load. And no we have no other apps running.Even after a restart etc.My HTC incredible doesn't do this.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have had my Droid since January and when I began to update my contact my friends that did not have facebook I would just go under an album and assign a picture off of facebook to their contact. When you go to the facebook picture from an album there was an option that said "set as". Well today I went to go try to set a picture to another friend and the "set as" option no longer shows up? Was that taken away with an update? Is there anyway to set a facebook picture from an album to a friend?

I have added contact photos to my contacts using existing photos on the SD card. they are high resolution photos that look great on the phone screen even zoomed way in. When I use these same photos for a contact, and then that contact calls, the photo pops up showing they are calling, but the photo looks terrible.
I also see the terrible looking contact photos on LPP's People Widget.
Anyone know what is causing this? Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone have great looking contacts photos show up when calls come in? I have a feeling this is happening when I add photos to contacts...not with photos that are coming through via contacts on facebook or google...not sure? Any ideas?
A decent number of my contacts are syncing with facebook but there are no photos associated with them. When I click on their facebook account through the contact card their profile doesn't show either their profile picture or any of their photo albums. Most of my other friends are syncing and properly showing pictures, but for some reason a fair number won't display any pictures. Anyone else having this problem?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have done some searches and cannot come with the answer I need. All the photos I take are moved to the SD card and not available to the gallery. It seem they stay in the gallery for about a day and then they are moved. I cannot figure out how to bring them back to the gallery or to so that I can send them out or edit them with the phones photoshop. The photos taken with the camera are on the SD card in the DCIM file while the downloaded photos are in the download file but I am not finding any menue that allows me to retrieve them back to the gallery.

Has anyone come accross a app that works to orginize your photos as in renaming, being able to view by name and moving from one folder to another. I have found plenty of apps that modify photos but I need a program like Splash Photo to orginize over 2700 pictures.

Browsing my gallery and found photos that are from my online Picassa account, but I can not locate them on my phone.
Details shows "Location Unknown" and Astro file manager can not find them in a search.
I would like to know how they ended up on my phone and how to get rid of them.

Has anyone found a way to take someone's facebook photo and add it to the Droid contact list? When I open my contacts, most of them have photos, which have been pulled from FaceBook, but 3rd party apps, such as Handcent SMS, only pull the images I have set for my contacts.Has anyone found a workaround to this issue?

2: Music, despite me manually dragging some albums over from my laptop, be it in its own folder for the album title or stuffed into one folder called Albums, the music app or Cubed cannot see them, and when I open Cubed it says there are no playlists and dies a death, doesn't give me the opportunity to search for songs on the phone and create one!
Are these issues that have been documented elsewhere? Anyone experience anything similar? Should I be placing my music in one specific folder? the photos should not be disapearing since the phone dictates where they are kept so this one is irritating me!
