Motorola Droid :: Dropped Calls Or People Cannot Hear Me On Phone
Jul 1, 2010My friend is having a problem with her droid. When she is on the phone talking it is constantly, muting her voice or something cuz no1 can hear her. she just got the phone less than a week ago. I read online and found a bunch of stuff about the proximity sensor and the software issues, however those were all dated last year around winter time. So I am trying to see if there is a current fix for it. I see on the forums people have some problems with hardware on their incredibles but I didn't see a thread for the droid. Basically she can hear people talking but no1 can hear her and it happens like every other phone call.

Mar 11, 2010I'm having some serious issues with Visual Voicemail on my Droid. I get calls, miss them and people leave me VMs. I can see that I have them, I know what numbers they're coming from, but I can't listen to them. They won't download from the server. I thought I was out of space or something, so I deleted all of my stored VMs, but they still won't download. What is going on??? It's really becoming frustrating because some of these could have been critical VMs that I need to listen to.

HTC Droid Eris : Contacts Added With Recent Calls But Not Saving To People
Mar 3, 2010I recently switched gmail accounts. I was able to reconfigure the stock mail app fine. The gmail app took some persuasion but eventually cooperated. The only problem is now all my contacts that were saved in my old gmail acct need to be transferred to my new one. Not a big deal (only have 10 because I lost my phone, reason why I have an Eris). However, my brother called. Since I lost him from my contacts, I used the recent calls window to add him. Hit Save. If I go to People, he isnt there. Retried it 3 times. I figure I can just re add him through gmail on my PC and sync it, but that's inconvenient and I wanna know: why isn't this working?

Nov 29, 2010My wife's phone keeps beeping when she talks to people. It sounds like she is just mashing keys the whole time she is talking but the phone is against her face. I told her to make sure it is resting against her cheek so that her cheek isn't randomly hitting buttons on the dial pad but that still doesn't help.

Nov 21, 2010When I record a video using Talking Tom and email it to myself, I get an error message when I try to play it on my droid x. It does play on the PC however and others can also play it. I've also tried saving it to my sd card but it doesn't play. Any ideas?

General :: Blocking Calls In People?
Feb 12, 2012I have two numbers I need to block from incoming calls and send directly to voicemail. If I block in the default "People" app will it do this or do I need an app for this (no pun intended). I just need to know if the default people blocking will send a call to voicemail instead of ringing? Will it also block text msgs if blocked in People? I would test this out myself but unfortunately that's not an option. I only have one phone here, my cell, so I can't test from another number here at home.

Nov 14, 2010So I've had the droid x for a little over a month now and I absolutely love it. I don't go a day without using it and I'm still trying to get everything customized to my liking. However I have had one issue since I received my phone. I seem to be hanging up on people with my face or either my phone is dropping calls like crazy. I took it in to the verizon store and the lady there had no idea what to do. My phone calls just end mid conversation with someone and I don't know if it's my face or if my droid x is dropping calls. It doesn't say anything like "call was lost" like it did on my old phone.

I then actually called myself with another phone and realized that I can't hear myself at all when I set the phone to speaker mode! When I turn off speakerphone and talk into the mic the voice is loud and clear, but the moment I turn it on boom the other end hears nothing.

Nov 24, 2010I'm trying to get a sense of how many people have encountered an issue with their Droid's screen not working, though everything else on the phone is apparently fine. It's happened to me a few times, and the screen won't show any picture, but the touch sensor & haptic feedback are all still working, and the phone has connectivity because it receives messages & calls. The weirdest thing is, it will come back after a period of time & work perfectly as if nothing ever happened.I've see a number of other threads on the forum that indicate a similar problem, so I'm trying to get some sort of sense as to how many people have experienced this. It seems like there's a design flaw in the Droid, because it doesn't seem to be caused by actual hardware damage since the screen will come back on & look perfectly normal.So, if you've experienced this issue please post here, or if you've found a thread on this please post the link.

Aug 28, 2010People cannot hear me on speaker phone. I'm not sure if it's because I SBF'ed back to stock, which may be different than when I first got the phone? Other than that, my phone is perfect. I would hate to have to go through a refurb. I was wondering if it was possibly a software issue.

Dec 10, 2009I see some people in the forums bragging about how great their batteries are and i am jealous I took mine of the charger at 7:00 this morning and at 3:00 my phone was already down to 40 percent. My question for the users that also seem to have poor battery life is, once your phone reaches 40% does a reboot give you more battery life? Every time my phone reaches 40% a reboot brings mine back up to 60%. This happens every time so it is not a coincidence or a onetime thing. I am curios if the reporting is off because it is almost 5:00 and i just did a reboot and now I have 60% left. I can live with 40% usage from 7:00 to 5:00 but I can't live with 60% usage from 7:00 to 3:00

May 5, 2010I'm having issues with sending text messages to a few people and they aren't even all on the same carrier.I have been using CM 5.0.6.1 and really haven't had any problem until today.I switched to the stock 2.1 with root because i thought that maybe it was the rom and still these people can't receive my text messages they can send me messages and I receive them but I cannot send them out.I have reactivated my phone twice now and nothing has worked.Any help would be much appreciated.I know I said in the title i can't receive them but I can sorry i'm kind of tired at the moment.
