i saw that there isn't an easy way to do this with the incredible but does anyone know if there a screencapture for the droidx? maybe a combination of keys on the phone like a computer?

I Just installed a new theme (Live Wire) for my Lithium Mod Rom. Don't know if there is a connection, but when I need to update an app, I get the message something like "process android media process stopped unexpectedly" and it will not allow the update. Everything else works well. I have turned it off for awhile, and have done a battery pull.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it just me or are the keys a little too much on the skinny side? I am coming from an iPhone 3G and I found it much easier to type on that. I predominately type in portrait mode and I find myself having trouble with this keyboard, especially when it comes to the spacebar. This is a huge surprise actually. I was expecting it to be significantly easier because of the screen size, but it just isn't.
Maybe I just need to get more used to it. However, if this problem continues I think I'll have to return the phone because messaging and email are two of the biggest things for me. Can I download any other keyboard that have fatter keys? I tried Swiftkey which didn't really help. Does anyone have better keyboard on their Droid X?
Swype on the Droid X with 2.1 originally had a black keyboard with bigger keys to swype or type on. With Froyo, it's now showing as a white keyboard with smaller keys that looks look the Swype keyboard I had originally had on my Droid 1. Is this the "new" keyboard look for Swype on the Droid X or is there a way to bring back the old look before upgrading to Froyo on the Droid X? The version that is showing on the DX now is 1.64.40.9380.

I then tried the menu button and it worked. I then tried the search button and it didnt work.Is this a known problem and if so how do i fix it? If theres no fix will verizon give me a replacement?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had the Droid for a week now...I m droid number 2 the first one the touch screen would not work. I am coming from a Blackberry curve. The droid Im finding is hard to text on. I have to text one handed (don't ask why..) so the phyical keypad does me no good. Is there a way to make the keys bigger on the touchscreen? I did 2300+ texts last month so I really need it to be easier to hit the keys. Also i find the words I've already texted are very small compared to the BB curve anyone have any thoughts on that. This may be too much phone for me..i love the apps amd how superfast it it. but the texting is a issue.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my first android phone, the droid x yesterday. Loving it so far but I've got a minor issue that drives me insane (even though it really is a non issue). I've got the volume keys on the right, and then the home and back keys at the bottom front. Whenever I click home or back, they do the home and back function, but also do volume up and volume down with every click. Its painfully annoying, because it vibrates and pops up the volume window over the top of everything, every time. And obviously, the home and back keys are two of the most clicked buttons on the phone, so its constantly going up n down. I think this also adds to battery drainage as its double functioning/working twice as much. Does anyone know of a way to disable the home lkey and back key from controlling my volume as well?

For me the problem would fix itself after opening and closing the hard keyboard a couple of times. But after I downloaded SweeterHome preview 2 they won't light up at all. Is there a timeout option im missing or something? Or is this a common problem with no fix?

When I'm typing really fast and drag my fingers to type "saw" for example with just my left thumb I'll catch the bottom left of the W key while the A is pressed down and it'll lift up and make a popping noise. I'm worried eventually I'll snap the W off the keyboard.
View 3 Replies View RelatedA backlight used to turn on for the bottom hard press keys on my dx but ever since I downloaded and installed the live wallpaper panoplied, they don't turn on anymore. I don't know how or even why a live wallpaper would turn off backlight settings for the keys but its becoming a major inconvenience. I checked the settings but couldn't find where to tweak backlight settings. I also rebooted the phone and did a soft reset but that didn't work. Can anyone out there help a brother out?

First post here. First Android phone as well. Picked up the X yesterday and am enjoying it. One quick question though, can I not turn the phone to the right (bottom keys to the left) to change the orientation? Things only turn when I turn the phone left or straight up, not right or upside down.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhen i had my Evo, i would go to take a picture and the LED's would stay on the whole time while i took the pic and looked great.on the DX, the flash only comes on right when you actually take the picture. i find the pics arent as good on the DX, not necessarily because of the way the LED's act. but in general.is there any way to get the LED's to act like they do on the Evo? i think it may help the camera focus better at night

We've just about all read that Motorola has posted info on Facebook stating that 2.1 will be available this week (or next'when' is actually irrelevant). So is it Motorola who is responsible for making the 2.1 update suitable for our Droids? Meaning...are they the ones who have tested/tweaked Google's 2.1 update and made sure it works okay with the phone, added/removed features etc.? And not Verizon? Or does Verizon have the final 'say' as to whether or not the update is ready to go to our phones. Or do they even have any input at all? IIRC, the last update to 2.0.1 (at least the forced method) everybody was downloading the file from Google servers. Maybe that was just coincidental as somebody leaked the info/link...I can't remember back that far. I used the force update method so I'm not sure how the OTA worked (I know how it works..just saying). Kinda rambling here.Basically, I want to know does Motorola push the update? Or do they send the files to Verizon and then they push it to us? And regardless of who does the pushing of the update, how will we know where the file came from? I saw an Admin asking in another thread for someone to PM him about the link/file/whatever. How would I, rooted or not, know exactly how to get the update.zip from the phone? Is there a link associated with the file that can be seen by a normal user?

If I decide that I don't want to be rooted, would flashing the sbf restore EVERYTHING that rooting does, back to normal? Like would a rooted and then flashed and a non rooted phone would be identical in every single way?
