Motorola Droid X : Ringing Tone Is Not Very Loud
Jul 27, 2010Is anybody else having an issue with the low volume of the DROID X?I am having trouble hearing my ringtones.Its not nearly as loud as my last phone (Samsund Blackjack 2)

Motorola Droid :: Music Not Loud Enough With Headphones
Nov 18, 2009I loaded my music onto my Droid recently. When I took it to the gym to work out I was disappointed with how little noise came out of the headphones. I am just using the stock headphones from my iPod. Would another brand give me more volume? And, if so what are some of the loudest you know of?

Nov 24, 2010My wife just got the D2 a few weeks ago. It was working flawlessly. We put on a Azure case and Skinomi cover on the front screen 2 weeks ago. Starting last week she started to had a few of occasions it doesn't ring but goes straight to voice mail. Not always from the same caller. No unusual apps running. She also always has her Data turned off because she has the $15 dollar plan. She only uses the wifi's. She is not using Google voice. She is getting to the point that she is wondering if she should take her phone back because she has no clue who is calling because it does not say missed call she only knows if they call if they leave a voice mail.

Jul 25, 2010Just used Nav in my car while listening to my radio (FM non-Droid radio).Nav worked fine but I could not hear the Nav's voice turn-by-turn instructions. The radio drowned them out.I realize Nav is still in beta. But there is no place to send this bug/suggestion to the developers.

Dec 9, 2009Is there any way to make my droid vibrate softer? It's too loud for meetings, etc., when I still need to be aware of notifications or even phone calls. There seems to be only one vibrate "volume" setting. My coworker has an IPhone, and it's very soft and only she can hear it when it vibrates.

Dec 26, 2009I have a cheapo wired headset (that works really good btw), but when it is plugged in, my phone does not ring normally; only through the headset itself. It does vibrate, but when Im in the car, I miss calls. Unplugging the headset just makes one more thing for me to worry about while driving when getting calls. Does anyone know how to make the phone ring normally through the speaker with a wired headset plugged in.

Dec 29, 2009at night i'll "silence" the phone (using volume keys) to alarm only/ringer volume X so other notifications don't go thru and alarm wakes me up in the morning. so far it failed 3 times even tho i have 2 different alarms set at two different times alarm did not ring at all. i know for a fact i didn't snooze/dismiss it because as soon as the alarm goes off i'm up.i'm a blackberry convert and it never failed on it while phone was in phone calls only mode.is there something i'm doing wrong or what?

Mar 13, 2010This has happened before and I fixed it, but i do not remember how.After I loaded wiped and loaded BB a weird ringtone that I don't remember having rings after a missed call.And it doesn't stop.I was walking around PetSmart today and I thought there was music coming from the shelves but it was really quiet.I was thoroughly confused until I went to the parking lot and figured out that it followed me, then deduced it was my phone.So this should be easy to turn off/silence I just can't figure it out.Anyone - you will get a "thanks" if it works.

Nov 3, 2010My wife has a Droid2 and when she uses the speaker phone function, things sound fine on her end, but for the caller on the other end, there is an unbearably loud noise of them speaking. For instance, when I call her and she has me on speaker, I can hear myself speaking super loud coming out of her phone. I can't even concentrate to get my sentence out. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of it? She is using a hard snap on case from Verizon as well, not sure if it could be the sound bouncing of that or something?

Feb 17, 2010I have a new Google Voice account, and I went through all the steps to set it up on my phone, and it seemed that everything went swimmingly. I then picked up my house phone, and called my cell to test everything out, and I just got a busy signal after it stopped ringing. I had a few other people test calling me, and played around with the settings a bit, but I couldn't make it work. Any ideas?

Coming from BB World, I would like to be able to get audible notifications of Facebook wall postings, etc. I know the only way to get this is by an email which I'm fine with. But is there any way to get a "sms" type of notification for just that email? I set the email up as a contact and I see where you can add a ringtone but I really don't want a ringtone, just a small "sms" tone, if you will.

Sep 4, 2010When I make a call there is a short, odd ring-tone that occurs just after I press Dial and before the normal ringing sound begins to indicate the call is going through.
It's about 1/2 second long, can be quite loud sometimes, and is kind of high-pitched....sorry, it's hard to describe. The tone modulates up and down quite fast - da-dum-da-dum-dum (if you can imagine).
I tried re-programming the phone, and also updating roaming, and it's still there every time I make a call. I haven't made any changes to call settings to speak of...never had this on my D1.
