View 8 RepliesJust a quick question, i have set up my contacts to link to facebook accounts, linking their profile pictures to, however when any of the contacts call and their photo is displayed whilst ringing, it is quite fuzzy is this the same for everyone? i also tried taking a photo off the hero camera and using that instead, picture looked great in the viewer, but when i attach it to a person and they ring, its dead fuzzy again.

PS - everything seems to work fine the rest of the time.
My wife just got the D2 a few weeks ago. It was working flawlessly. We put on a Azure case and Skinomi cover on the front screen 2 weeks ago. Starting last week she started to had a few of occasions it doesn't ring but goes straight to voice mail. Not always from the same caller. No unusual apps running. She also always has her Data turned off because she has the $15 dollar plan. She only uses the wifi's. She is not using Google voice. She is getting to the point that she is wondering if she should take her phone back because she has no clue who is calling because it does not say missed call she only knows if they call if they leave a voice mail.

It does vibrate, but when Im in the car, I miss calls. Unplugging the headset just makes one more thing for me to worry about while driving when getting calls. Does anyone know how to make the phone ring normally through the speaker with a wired headset plugged in.
View 1 Replies View Relatedat night i'll "silence" the phone (using volume keys) to alarm only/ringer volume X so other notifications don't go thru and alarm wakes me up in the morning. so far it failed 3 times even tho i have 2 different alarms set at two different times alarm did not ring at all. i know for a fact i didn't snooze/dismiss it because as soon as the alarm goes off i'm up.i'm a blackberry convert and it never failed on it while phone was in phone calls only mode.is there something i'm doing wrong or what?

View 12 Replies View RelatedThis has happened before and I fixed it, but i do not remember how. After I loaded wiped and loaded BB a weird ringtone that I don't remember having rings after a missed call. And it doesn't stop.I was walking around PetSmart today and I thought there was music coming from the shelves but it was really quiet.I was thoroughly confused until I went to the parking lot and figured out that it followed me, then deduced it was my phone. So this should be easy to turn off/silence I just can't figure it out.Anyone - you will get a "thanks" if it works.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo my gf just got a Motorola Droid and I'm not used to the Droid features. Is there a way to make the ringer stop ringing when you touch the screen? Or an app you can download to make this happen?I did a search but couldn't locate anything
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there an app to download to make the Motorola Droid stop ringing when touching the screen? I can't figure out a way to turn off the sms ringer other than just letting it play out.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new Google Voice account, and I went through all the steps to set it up on my phone, and it seemed that everything went swimmingly. I then picked up my house phone, and called my cell to test everything out, and I just got a busy signal after it stopped ringing. I had a few other people test calling me, and played around with the settings a bit, but I couldn't make it work. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know you can do it online, but that lapses in a few months, blacklist with Handcent just hides the message.
Is there a way in the OS to really block a caller/sms. I already have sent to VM but what I'd really like is a big go fuck yourself to be sent back to them.
Google Voice would work if it would actually control my other number and not just theirs.
Any ideas/suggests?
I felt that the storm and storm 2 were lacking in this department also. We have such a fantastic, high quality screen. I would love to see a full screen caller ID picture when someone calls, not the tiny square.
View 47 Replies View RelatedOn the Droid X, the caller ID which is synced from my Facebook or Google account is very low quality and small in size/dimensions. Is there not a setting to show high res quality and to make it appear larger on the screen? I just switched from the Evo and know that it was a similar issue on there. just curious if there is a known work around for the Droid X. Other than that, I am very happy with this phone so far. The build quality is much much better than the Evo's.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI set a ringdroid custom ringtone for my wife's phone calls. A few times in the last week, her call will not activate that ringtone, instead just ringing the default. Also, the last call didn't even have her Caller ID or photo... just the phone number... it's like it didn't recognize she was a contact at all? The only thing I can think of was I was using the music player when she called... is is possibly the "cut-in" that caused the disconnect? Don't know, but I've tried to duplicate it, and it reverts back to "normal" every time I try.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there a setting or an app to make incoming Pictures assigned to contacts take up the whole screen (like on the iPhone)? The picture just seems so small to me and i would like it bigger. I searched on the forums and in the Android Market and failed to find anything.Any ideas?

Is there a way to fix this? it will show the number for about 4 or 5 seconds before the contacts name pops up... and sometimes, the contact name wont pop up until i have already answered the call.
View 7 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to change the amount of times their phone rings before the caller is sent to voicemail? When I call my phone from another phone it only rings four to five times before it goes to voicemail. However, when I call my wife's eris it rings six to seven times before sending to voicemail. My phone is on v3 leak and my wifes is a stock 1.5.This is really frustrating because it already takes at least two rings from the other end before my phone even acknowledges someone is calling...and yes i've changed my slot cycle down to zero...so by the time it starts ringing the ringtone only lasts about five to ten secs.not enough time at all to even try to answer.
View 32 Replies View RelatedI'm developing an application for Android 2.2 that should send an SMS immediately when the phone starts ringing (under UMTS/GSM). I'm using the android.telephony.SmsManager.sendTextMessage for sending the SMS. The app is working fine under the emulator, i.e. when I call the emulator phone from another emulator, the SMS is sent instantly. However, when I'm testing the application on HTC Desire, the SMS sending only succeeds after the phone has stopped ringing. Is there anything that could be done about this or is it just a restriction of the HTC Desire device? Seems strange as it's working fine under emulator and it shouldn't be a restriction of the network..
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was hearing things the first time this happened, but before I answered an incoming call on my Evo I heard a voice on the other end while my phone was ringing. Well today I heard it again so I decided to check it out, so I called myself on my girlfriends phone and lo and behold I could hear myself on my Evo while it was ringing before I even touched the slide to unlock.

View 7 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, my Pone does not ring when there is incoming calls. I ported my number on Thursday and on Friday, I had rings with incoming calls. But since yesterday, I have not heard any rings. Calls are going straight to VM. I thought it was a Google Voice thing. GV is known to have this problem in the past.) Then, I disabled my cell number from GV and calls are directed to the Verizon VM. I have not changed any settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I power up my phone I get the standard start up and then the phone starts ringing very loudly. It's almost like the old phone ringing sound we remember from years ago. It rings 5 or 6 times and then stops. This is not my ring tone and it's louder than any other system sounds. This has been an issue for only the past week, I've had the phone for just over a month. The only other thing I've noticed is that my battery has drained more quickly than normal the past couple days. I thought it might be Lookout security but I deleted that app and it continues.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on O2 UK and if my wife rings me from her O2 mobile or from our home landline my Desire doesn't ring but shows the missed call icon in the notification area. what happens on the phone you ring from i.e my wifes mobile or our landline all you here is 2 short rings then the phone goes dead.I only have wifi switched on and not the mobile network.that is to say I don't have the 'mobile network' option ticked in 'wireless & networks' screen. Has anyone else had this problem?PS the phone rings fine when I ring from say my work mobile or my work landline and also from other mobiles including ones on O2 UK. >PPS tried turning off the option 'Quiet ring on pickup' but that hasn't made any difference either
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have had a few of occasions that my incredible doesn't ring but goes straight to voice mail. Not always from the same caller and not any common apps running that I can think of. The callers have told me they heard 5 or 6 rings and then got voice mail. I checked their phone entries and straight to voice mail is not checked. I had two of them call me right back and the phone rang. I am not using Google voice. It maybe too early to call it a problem but thought I would post to see if any others have had this happen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI looked & was unable to find an answer to this when I searched. My phone is actually RINGING with the ringtone when I get a 2nd call on call waiting. I'd much prefer the beep as it is very disruptive and a friend asked me the other day what that noise was. It was my phone ringing for an incoming call!
