I notice that on random occasions,I'd have an extremely hard time unlocking my phone.When pulling the unlock bar on the lock screen (stock),there are times when my finger doesn't register.I'd do it for a few times until it finally works.Anyway,I had this problem with the Incredible when trying to unlock that screen (HTC EVO 4G and Droid Incredible suffering from unresponsive screen issues -- Engadget)

I've noticed within the past month or two my Eris has been having a hard time searching for a gps signal. I'm on the Leak v.3. Sometimes it takes a matter of a min to lock on other times much longer, and this past weekend I had an indecent where it never found the signal for about a 1/2hr or more.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI am on stock motorblur 2.1. Just yesterday the phone started lagging hard. I took the battery out, it wouldn't turn on and would freeze at the M logo. Found out that now it will only boot up if I pop the battery out, put it back in, wait 10 minutes then hit power. My Settings physical key stopped responding period today. and I cant do a hard reset because in order to do that it restarts the phone and it freezes at the M logo. I tried to hit HOME and POWER when turning on but it wont even enter that service menu. It still lags like hell when I get it to even boot. No physical damage or anything. been working for weeks now perfectly.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy first Droid had problems with basic applications such as the Messaging and Phone apps resetting, so I exchanged it. Everything seemed great with the new phone, until I woke up one morning to see a screen stating that too many incorrect patterns had been attempted, and I should reset the phone by entering my Google account information. However, upon entering my information, I immediately received a message "Invalid username or password." There was no apparent attempt to even validate the information. Anyhow, I returned to the Verizon store and after the representative researched for half an hour or so, he decided to factory reset the phone. Now, this would not have been a problem, except that I purposely entered an incorrect pattern five times afterwards, to get to the "Forgot pattern" screen, and as I had suspected, it refused to accept my information. I was wondering whether this would be valid grounds to exchange my phone once again. I'm not content with having to completely erase everything on my device each time my phone gets into somebody else's hands.

When it rebooted to the new system it required me to establish a security code that comes on when you unlock the phone. I want to disable this function- but in the setting menu the choice to disable is there- but not able to be selected to be modified? Am I just missing something?
BTW: seems like a smart unlock as it only ask for your password if it has slept for a while (which makes me believe there is a setting somewhere that modulates the length of time after sleep that this is activated).
Is there any way to turn off the short vibration that occurs when you unlock the Droid from the lock screen? I could have sworn that when i first used the phone it was not like that. I already have haptic feedback turned off for the virtual keypad.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHalf the time that I am using the phone doing normal things ex: writing a text, going to the market, opening up an app, etc. the phone will not respond to my touch. I have to lock my phone and then unlock it to get it to respond.
I personally don't think that is normal and if it is it should not be a normal thing someone has to deal with.
The new update came in this morning and i was wondering if there are any settings for the unlock screen to tone down the vibratouch when unlocking.?Also is there a setting to do the same for the 4 touch buttons?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI use Outlook/Exchange as my primary contact database, so I only wanted to sync my DX with Exchange for contacts. However, before I was able to get to my Google account settings on the X to tell it not to sync Google contacts - it had already synced them. Now, my contacts are a mess because of the damn "linked profiles", so practically every contact has some trash from my unmanaged Google contacts. Old email addresses, dupes, mislabled phone numbers (work, home, etc.) It's ugly and frustrating, since I keep my Exchange contacts perfectly edited and managed.
My problem is that I can't figure out how to delete the Google contacts from my DX other than doing it one at a time. (Since I have over 1500 contacts, that would be a huge pain.) Is there any way I can purge these? I'm a power Gmail user, so I can't just delete the entire Google account. (Not sure that's possible anyway.)
I come from the iPhone world, and I thought having a physical keyboard would be nicer. I don't know if it's because I got used to the iPhone, but so far I'm not thrilled with that keyboard, it's too easy to make mistakes and it's not comfortable.
One thing I noticed is that when you use the soft keyboard, it corrects you automatically and offers you suggestions as you type. How can I get the same features when using the hard physical keyboard?
Using Chevy 7 slot LV 1250. I have flashed my fair share of ROMS the past few days, but after a 3 time total wipe (consecutive) and a nandroid restore from a few days ago when it was very stable. My only suspects are a re-downloaded FB app and Dialer One. I am thinking of doing the 0.9 update.zip for good measure.

Hard to tell from pictures, and I haven't found any official data on this.I'm hoping for a nice aluminum build like the Nokia N8/Moto Devour/ Original Droid, but even if it is a hard plastic, at least it's a matte finish which is superior to the "finger print magnet" finish of its rival EVO 4G.
