I rooted my X so I could take screenshots. I saw all the hoopla over the new froyo release, and figured I'd try it. Well, now I'm bricked or stuck in endless boot, whichever, and can't get past the Motorola Logo. What can I do? I plug my phone into my pc and it doesnt even recognize it. I keep seeing people telling others to flash the .sbf, but I don't even know what that means.

aright so i found some other threads with my problem, but no answer really i dont think. but anyways. so im running 2.3.9, flyx and tranq. when i shut my phone off and back on sometimes it gets stuck at the motorola logo, i do a battery pull and its fine. but its just annoying cause i forget sometimes and it stays on it for a few hours. is there any fix for this.

I am not deodexed, but I heard that you could apply some of the rom modifications without any problems. So I did one, and it was ok. I decided to try a different one and thats when I ran into a problem. My phone is stuck at the M logo now and I am not sure how to fix it. I could have sworn that i made a recovery before I installed the .zip but when i went in to try to recover it said there was nothing there. My one savior is that I have the SBF file I need, but I am on a mac so I can not use at the moment and would like to avoid this at all costs. Does anyone have any suggestions for me or will I need to SBF? Also, i have not let it sit at the M logo for an extremely long period of time, is it possible that it will pull around and start to load properly or is there definitely a problem?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just finished updating my wifes Droid X to 2.2 (rooted) moved SU etc.. the phone boots completely (I can ADB in and it makes noise) however it only shows the M logo. I cant boot into recovery and the only way to make it boot is to adb reboot-bootloader anyone know WTF is going on here? I've never seen anything like this before!

I've tried pulling the battery, even for 5-6 mins, going into system recovery mode and clearing cache and still the same thing.
Not sure what to do here. I hear it's some sort of boot-loop error?
Left battery out for 10-15 mins and now it boots fine. Phew
So I followed the droid-life.com method to get SPRecovery on my stock 2.1 droid.
Everything went fine, I had SPRecovery and I was going to try to get root access using this ESE81update.zip created by pete and following this method...

My X is stuck on the M logo. I cannot seem to get the right driver installed for rsdlite to see the phone. I am just trying to sbf back to a working phone.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI flashed my phone to 2.0.1 b/c I thought I had to do that. Turns out I didn't, but there is outdated and updated information out there and I was misled. Anyway, 2.0.1 installed fine and it booted up, though my phone wasn't activated. Anyway, then I realized I needed SPRecovery, so I installed the sbf for that using RSD Lite. It installed successfully as far as i can tell? But it did a reboot, and now it's just stuck on the white-background Moto logo while plugged into my USB. RSD Lite says "Please manually power up this phone."

I tried to change it back to the default 2.2 ROM through ROM manager, and after flashing the new ROM, it rebooted as normal, the motorola logo pops up, then changes to the default red eye, and hangs there forever.I tried to hold x while booting up, and the icon with the exclamation point inside the triangle floating over the phone shows up, but it just hangs there forever as well, and I can't get a menu to come up.I can get into the bootloader while holding up on the dpad during bootup, and it says "OK to program".Do I have any other option than using SPRecovery (If thats even an option, sorry I'm new to this)?

I followed the instructions, ran bootstrap and got all the way to "mount system" (after formatting system and cache) and realized I didn't have the update.zip file on the sd card yet. So I hit reboot system. Now I'm stuck with at the M logo. I made a full backup on the sd card, but don't know how to access it since my computer does not recognize my phone.

The p3 made my droid unusable so I tried reinstalling another one on my sd card and it's now stuck at the "M" no matter what kernel I try. Is there a way to install the stock kernel that came with the BB ROM or should I just reinstall the ROM itself?
View 5 Replies View RelatedRecieved the Froyo update last night. Hit install, every thing went well up untill the reboot. Stuck on Motorola screen. Took out the Battery ,, nothin still stuck on Motorola screen. Took it to Verizon they couldnt figure it out, Talked to Tech support which is really good at Verizon by the way. They were stumped. So in the end they are sending me a Brand new DX, with an extra SD card and Battery. Not a refurb. So I feel lucky at best.

The other day and update to android started installing (supposedly from verizon) on system updates. For the last few days it has been downloading, finished downloading and then telling me the system is updated (no reboot nor anything) and then it will start to download again. I have no clue why that may be.

I was trying deodexing manually and ran into big problems, now in bootloop. I want to just custom recovery restore to the deodexed ROM here (Droid X 2.2 Froyo Deodexed and Ready For Themes) but cannot because I get the following error every time I try to restore a backup from custom recovery: "e:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0 device or resource busy.I think I found out that it is because this Koush recovery is the original 2.1 version, so I need the 2.2 one.Two things:-Where do I get this 2.2 newer version? View 2 Replies View Related i was running the latest version of Slim Kat rom for my i9100 when it turned off and then was stuck on samsumg boot logo. When i try to access twrp it just says teamwin and wont go any further. It happened once before and so i just flashed a stock rom and then went back to rooting it. However, now when i try to flash any rom (stock/custom), or another recovery with odin it freezes at "nand write start". I have access to download mode which is really the only thing i have working atm
Ive read around and done everything (eg try other usb ports/cables/odin version) but no luck. Is there anything else i could do? I dont wanna do a pit flash cause im scared ill completely screw it up.

It acts like it is going to boot up but just after the ATT screen and the boot sound it gets stuck. I did the one-click-lag-fix about 2 weeks ago and the phone has been running smooth ever since. My Sharp FX (ADS1) is stuck at the "Sharp" logo when I try turning it on, now I know that are several of these post on this forum, but I still can't find any that offers a solution for me. The phone is rooted and that's it, I haven't had time to put a new ROM or anything yet (although I would love to) and I can't seem to get into any type of recovery mode, and I think I have tried all of the button combinations, the only time that I can get it to show something other than "sharp" is when I plug it in, it shows a charging battery.

I bought a chinese MTK6589 phone called the Tronsmart TS7 Glacier. I tried to flash CWM recovery with an app called Flashify. I was using the right CWM recovery for my phone, but when it rebooted it opened the normal recovery mode, and then when I tried to reboot, it didn't get past the first logo that comes up... Normally it shows an android logo, then it goes to a little animation with the tronsmart logo, then it's started up. Now it's stuck on the android logo... I've tried reflashing the stock rom from my SD card but I can't do it because it only works in CWM, the installation aborts normally. I've done it before but I got into CWM through a different app called mobileuncle or something. So yeah what I think I need to do is reflash the stock rom, but I can't do it without CWM, and I can't get CWM...
