We are unable to open html attachments over 100 KB on the Droid X from corporate sync.
other attachments (like xls and pdf) can be many MB without any problem.

Anyone else getting full HTML email properly in their corporate exchange accounts? All my gmail based accounts are showing up with HTML formatted messages as they should but all of the HTML formatted messages on my exchange account end up looking like markup language. I turned off the accept all certs and I'm now able to properly download attachments from exchange just not able to get HTML emails to display properly.

I have searched and haven't been able to find any threads with one of my issues, so I apologize in advance if I missed one. Anyways, my DX has been working flawlessly since I got it back on 10/6. Sunday, 10/31, my DX quit syncing just my corporate Exchange 2003 emails, then yesterday it started not sending emails as well and now, this morning, it quit syncing my personal email. Corporate email will sync manually, just not push. I have rebooted several times, pulled the battery several times, and also deleted both my Exchange account and my personal account and re-added both and the problem still persists. I don't have any task killer apps installed and haven't recently added any apps since the issues started. Anyone have an idea what may be causing the lack of push (in and out) on both of my accounts?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOpen the email inbox, tap the search icon and the keyboard appears - but no search box. When I'd seen that before I thought it was just an odd defect.
When you start typing the letters you type appear above the keyboard and the emails are filtered on subject/sender by what you type.
Very cool...would like to have things like sorting by subject/sender, and searching contents, but heck, getting any search at all in exchange email on the Droid is great...does not exist in stock 2.2.
Hopefully I'm not the only one who didn't know. I'm on the 2.3.15 leak...no idea if it is in 2.2.20 as well...
I have my corporate email on the Droid X. On outlook, I have "rules" set up to where certain emails go into certain folders. I have a few hundred total folders set up. When i get my email on the Droid X, the only thing that pops up are the emails in my inbox. I have to go into each individual folder and refresh it to view anything else.

I could not get Touchdown to work either until I discovered my Microsoft ISA server, in front of my Exchange 2003 server, was not setup right. Once I got that setup ISA Server 2004: Supporting Both Basic and Forms-based Authentication with a Single External IP Address and Web Listener (v1.1) the sync started working greatThe benefits of Touchdown are immense and I am no longer interested in Froyo handling of Exchange email. I am an IT guy and will recommend this program to all my android folks.

That doesn't make any sense to me and defeats the purpose of having corporate contacts. How do I make sure my exchange email account shows up as one of the options?

I do not see a way to sort my inbox by "From" to group those emails together. I got spoiled on my BB Storm being able to touch and hold the sender and it would sort all emails. Is there a way to do this on the Droid?
Also, when I go into my "Sent" folder, all emails are shown by the person that the emails are from, which is ME, impossible to see who I sent the email to and have to look at the subject and open the email to have any idea about the content. There's got to be a way to change this to view by who the email was sent to, which is usually what you're looking for anyway.
I'm not seeing a search function when viewing my Activesync corporate inbox. There is one for gmail but nothing for corporate mail
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my google mail working and my Exchange account for my email.When I first looked at my exchange account I was happy to see that I could open a PPT document. I thought great news! However last night ( 3 days later) I could not open a document for the life of me, it keeps stating "fetching from server". My email stays on the server so its not like that original email was deleted. My gmail account opens up the attachment just fine (did a test) so does anyone know why I cannot open an attachment in my Exchange email (corporate app)?
View 15 Replies View RelatedHaving serious issues setting up Google Apps corporate email on my DX. POP and SMTP settings, email add, password all checked and rechecked for accuracy. Still no dice. Am being told by Google Apps support that I need to hard reset the device, setup corporate Google Apps email first, and then reinstall and re-setup everything else. This seems like a hail mary approach to me, and one that I'm still not sure is going to work.

Please try again."Ive tried numerous emails in my yahoo account with pics and it crashes it every time. No idea why. When i open an image in my gmail account using the gmail app its saves fine.

I have my Yahoo and Optonline (Cablevision ISP, pop/smtp server) email accounts linked up with DX. Whenever I get something into Yahoo account over 5MB it just gives me a link to download the attachment rather than displaying in inbox. I can live with that. But my Optonline email account just gives me a message "attachment exceeds the limit" and nothing I can do about it. Its very consistent with anything over 5MB. I'm wondering if there is a setting somewhere to increase the allowable incoming attachment size? Any idea?

This is the problem I am experiencing: Whenever I open an email from my second account, the Corporate Email account, the email I'm reading won't stay open. Sometimes the email closes immediately, sometimes it closes after a minute, but it always closes. I don't have time to read it, let alone reply to it. Also, if I'm in the inbox, it will close and goes back to the Home screen. All of this happens randomly.
My Gmail account has no problem staying open. In fact, none of my other apps share this problem, it only happens to my corporate email account which happens to be the most important aspect of the phone.
I tried nuking the account and re-establishing it- to no avail.
I want to buy the incredible, but I need to be able to use Lotus notes for my corporate email.Is there anything that I can do to get Lotus not on the Droid incredible?

1> I have tried using both domainusername and just username with no success.
2> Also have tried setting up gmail as corporate account and later changing to the desired account settings as suggested in other forums and it still shows the same error.
3> I have also tried unchecking "verify certificate"
I have been able to using the same credentials on my old phone and it used to work perfectly.
a friend sent me an sms with a ringtone attached. The file d'loaded ok but I cannot for the life of me find where it downloaded to I am thinking I will perhaps have a similar problem with email attachments.I have read the manual section on attachments but can't say I am any wiser.Where might it be hiding, and if I do find it, how would I add it to my ringtones pls?
