Motorola Droid : Way To Eliminate Ringer Delay?

Is there a way to eliminate the ringer delay? It seems like forever before my phone starts to make any noise to notify me of a phone call.
So I'm listening to my music on the Droid and notice that the songs have a varying delay between them. Sometimes its not very noticeable and other times it's almost a full second delay before the next song plays. I was wondering, what causes this? Is it the phone itself or does it have to do with the song files? On my computer there is never a delay, each song plays continuously one immediately after the other.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI picked up my Droid X this morning and coming from my old Storm I'm really liking it. My only real complaint is that the volume of the ringer is way to low. I've already turned it up all of the way in settings but is there an app or something that could make it any louder? I use my phone as an alarm clock and I'm a fairly heavy sleeper so this is almost a make or break feature.
View 10 Replies View RelatedBefore the update I could hold down the volume button and go from from an audible ringtone down to vibrate and if I kept pressing the button, it would completely turn the ringer off. After the update once it gets to Vibrate it will NOT turn the ringers off now.

View 14 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to lock the ringer volume? I keep my phone on vibrate always. well, I try to, but sometimes I hit the volume button on accident and it would be nice to not have to adjust it. Not only do I not want the phone to ring, but I don't want it to not vibrate (all the way down). Also, I still don't always understand when I can adjust other volumes, like Media Volume. Sometimes I start an app or music and the volume is too loud. It seems like sometimes I can't adjust the volume till after it starts playing.
View 49 Replies View RelatedNewbie here so please forgive if this is really basic. I am coming from a BB and I want/need to be able to silence all notifications but still allow the phone to ring. I need to do this ONLY at night. Anyone know of a shortcut or app that will do this without me going into the settings every night and changing it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOK...everyone thought that a louder speakerphone/ringer volume fix would be in for Froyo 2.2 when the OTA came out, and that was the only reason I installed it in the first place. But...I'm finding that this same problem is the affliction of any ROM I install. I'm wondering if it's the software or my phone, because many users report high volumes despite my problem. My OG Droid was at least twice as loud as my X. So...my question is, is there any sort of way to increase volume for this phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there an application that allows me to setup my phone with 1 ringer setting in the Multimedia Dock and 1 setting as soon as I remove it?
So if I wanted to have my notifications (especially email) turn off during the night, but on during the day, it would be as simple as placing it in or taking it out of the dock.
I have tried searching, but I'm not seeing application with this feature.
Just factory reset a Motorola Droid X. Want to use it to browse internet on wi-fi only. I need to make the "touch Droid to begin" activate phone screen go away permanently. I have tried the touch the 4 corners thing, but it takes me to a dialpad and forces me to try and make the activate call.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have already done a factory reset once before because the phones ringer stopped working. The "FVE" said it was something I downloaded from the market and basically made me reset. It really is not a big deal to do a reset since all the contacts can get synced to your google account. I just don't want to have to keep doing this fix.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there an easy way to turn the ringer off but leave the vibrate on? When I turn silent on it turns the vibrate off as well. I don't like having to go to settings and manually turn on the vibrate each time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had an original Droid before getting my Droid X. I am using the exact same custom ringtones I made for my Droid on my Droid X and my Droid X is much, much lower on ringer volume, even at max setting. Due to this, I am missing tons of text messages and a bunch of phone calls when I am in a place that has even slight noise. On my Droid, I could hear my ringer even in the noisiest of places. I can't hardly hear my Droid X in the quiet places. Are there any tips, tricks, or hacks that can increase the overall volume on the X?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIm looking for an app that will link all of the phones volumes (media/system/etc) to the ringer volume except for alarm volume. I need alarm volume to always be at max so I want it independent from this. I used to have an app that could do this but i forgot what it was and the only one ive been able to find after much searching, was one that links all volumes (alarm volume included). The prog i used before let me choose which volumes to link to ringer volume, rather than making them all linked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I am on my home screen and try to use the volume rocker to increase or decrease the ringer volume the screen shows ringer volume going up then if i press it again the media volume comes up. It seems to alternate between the two when I am trying to change the volume. Is this normal or is there an option I need to have checked that I have missed? Is it because there is a media program running in the background that I do not know about?

It looks like the memory for the application was exhausted .The bluetooth settings page uses BluetoothDevicePreference to handle onBindView() api for showing the the icon and name of the searched bluetooth devices , now while scrolling the searched device page every time the getView of the preference is getting called and that is eventually calling the onBindView() api to show the icon and device name on the screen.
So can anyone suggest me how should I handle this kind of out of memory issue?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Android smartphone has recently started to audibly ring while I have the (external-on-the-phone) ringer switch turned off. This is a BIG problem for me. is the physical ringer switch common to many (all?) Android devices or is it only on some Android phones? (my phone is a Motorola Cliq) how can one find out if the switch design is to disable the ringer in hardware (in which, I would guess, I have a defective device) or in software? And if in software, how might I test if it is in Android OS software, or the Motorola-added software, or something else?
