I want to be able to store some documents on the phone so that I can send them via e-mail to clients throughout the day. I was able to do this easily with the BB storm, any ideas if this is possible with this phone and if you know how, could you please explain in detail how to do it.

i have found the only thing the droid is unable to do is Print. excel docs, pdf's, word docs.... have i missed something? is there an app out there that will allow you to do so?

Have looked at Quick Office; Documents To Go; & Office Suite Pro. Anybody know of a suitable app - this seems like a significant limitation to me. Adam
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a spreadsheet that I edit daily. For some reason my data from the last 8 days is lost even though I know I had it was up to date 3 days ago. Is there a way to view this spreadsheet on google docs from 3 days ago so at least I can retrieve that data?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy documents show up in the goggle docs app, however when I click it to open the document is blank. This is the case for every document I have. I just checked on my home computer and it's still there, however why doesn't it appear on my phone? I even went to the Google doc website on my phone and every document was blank. I tried restoring w/ titanium and didn't have any luck with that. I tried opening the application and clearing data, however after reassigning my accounts I still had blank documents. The title of all 15 documents shows up, but it's all blank

2) When I try to locate certain rural addresses that are in my contact list (or anywhere) it is trying to chg what I type and give me a different address. For example.... 1430 Road K Town, state.... Changes it to 1430 K Street Town State.
Now this wouldn't be a big deal except when using the nav features. OUr address is like this and it can never seem to get it right.
I'm trying to figure out how to email an invoice I created with Google docs on my phone. From my desktop, you just click share, and you have options on how to send. There is no share button when viewing Google docs on the phone though. Has anyone figured this out?

I am going to take it back for a replacement again, however I am wondering if Bestbuy got a bad batch and maybe I should get a replacement from the Verizon store. Does anyone know if Verizon will replace it even though I got it at Bestbuy?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have searched and haven't been able to find any threads with one of my issues, so I apologize in advance if I missed one. Anyways, my DX has been working flawlessly since I got it back on 10/6. Sunday, 10/31, my DX quit syncing just my corporate Exchange 2003 emails, then yesterday it started not sending emails as well and now, this morning, it quit syncing my personal email. Corporate email will sync manually, just not push. I have rebooted several times, pulled the battery several times, and also deleted both my Exchange account and my personal account and re-added both and the problem still persists. I don't have any task killer apps installed and haven't recently added any apps since the issues started. Anyone have an idea what may be causing the lack of push (in and out) on both of my accounts?

Opening Quick office gives me a message: "No files were found on your SD card"
I can see all the files such as pdf, .doc ,excel,etc via file manager and the files are ok as I took them off the phone and they work fine on my laptop.
When I try to open the files on the SD card, the following error message appears:
"android.content activitynotfoundexception: No activity found to Handle intent{act=android.intent.action. VIEW dat=file:///sdcard/downloads/name of my file
All other files on SD are fine (photos/videos). Verizon tech support did a master reset. Same result. Verizon tech left a voice message later saying they would keep trying to reach HTC.
I am having no problems syncing with Outlook. My problem is that when I click on an email it never opens up the email. Instead I get a force close. The error I get says, Sorry! The application Email (processcom.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Well, i have putted to be notified in 1 hour if i have new emails the problem is the phone didn't check the emails and didn't have the notifications. only if i enter on the "Mail" application i have the new emails.. if i didn't enter, this didn't check the emails. What is the problem?. I have APN droid installed and i have deactivated the 3g 2g gaps. But i have configuration the WIFI to stay connected always.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just pulled the battery to do a reset last night after a lockup and today I'm getting notifications everytime I get a new email. it never used to do this and i figured it was just cause I didn't use the gmail. now I'm thinking that it just might be one of the background tasks that I was always killing. I recently switched to home++ and I didn't use the built in task killer all day. so I guess my question is, does anyone know which background task would control this so I don't kill it? also, is there a place to go in the settings to change the led color for email alerts?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm starting to get junk mail sent directly to my phone through my hotmail email account. I have added both the sender and the senders domain to the list using Windows Live Mail Beta. These emails are still getting through to my Droid X. First, there are no option on the phone to block emails is there? And secondly, there is not an option to add emails to any junk folder on the phone either that I have found. Anyone else having this problem? I've tried both adding my email accounts through Corporate (for hotmail/msn) and the email option on the phone.

What are they doing to fix this problem, or is it not meant to be fixed? These are very important questions, so I can decide whether to invest in the Droid or something else (probably still android os but not sure if it's an android problem)

View 9 Replies View RelatedI got my Droid finally on Saturday and I've been putzing around a lot. One nice surprise was that after getting the Mabilo ringtone app (where all the tones are free etc) I found a ton of the ones I've used in the past and had set up to copy over from my computer.
Now I know Mabilo keeps its own ringtone directory, and I copied over my own folder "Ringtones" to the root directory.
I have Astro file manager installed. Can you use this to move ringtones from certain folders to others or do I have to do this manually via mounting the MicroSD? I had Quark Ringtone app installed for a bit and there's only one tone in there I want before I uninstall can you move files via Astro?
Is this worth it? I am on the go so much I need to be able to edit word and excel docs. One more question, is it compatible with Office 2007 docs?

I also bought a new charger from asset for blackberrys because I lost mine and when it's conntected to that charger the touchscreen gets semi unresponsive. Should I return the charger? Also for the other people who have this battery how do you like it?

View 13 Replies View RelatedThough I've migrated happily from a verizon Palm 700WX (WM) to a Droid, there is a composition feature I miss called 'my text', which gave you ten registers where you could store frequently used phrases 'On my way', '@giantstupidURL.com', '[large foreign phone #]', etc. When composing a message any of these phrases could be inserted with just a few keystrokes.
I have not been able to discover anything similar on the Droid. Did I miss it, or are there apps for email / text that have this and other enhancements?
Has anyone been successful in getting a replacement done in store? With the inventory of Droid X being very limited, would stores be unwilling to use their available units as replacement units? I'm sure they would much rather sell it along with a new contract/upgrade.

1) Being able to transfer Word Docs from my desktop onto my phone and use, read and edit them from my phone
2) Being able to create Documents in general, that I would normally use Word for.
I set my email on each account to check email every 5 min and every 5 min it tell me i have new e mail when i check i have no new email the little icon at the top pops up saying i have new e mail . how do i set it up to let me know i have new e mail? and to keep it telling me i have new e mail and it is just e mail i have not opened.
View 6 Replies View RelatedOver the past week or 2, several times now, I'll get a series of email notifications (sometimes as many as 10 or so, a few seconds apart), but then there won't be any messages. I'll check later, but still nothing.
I have a POP, gmail and an exchange account.
I'll also sometimes have POP email keep coming back, sometimes 5+ times, after deleting it every time. It may be 30 minutes later, or hours later.
