View 11 RepliesHas anybody else ever been in an SMS (Google Voice), email, or IM conversation with somebody, with your phone continually beeping every 30 seconds when you get a new message? This happens to me a lot. The phone is sitting next to me on my desk, and each time it beeps, I pick it up, push the power button, swipe to unlock, swipe down the notifications bar, and then look to see what's new. After doing this about 30 times in an hour, I have to ask myself, is this really necessary on a modern smartphone? The dumbest dumbphone I know will light up when you get a new text. Now, I have searched high and low, and am I just stupid, or is there no setting or app available to turn the screen on for like 5 seconds and display new notifications as soon as they come in?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been loving my new X and have experienced zero issues with it until tonight. I noticed that there's light leakage around the volume buttons, where the top and bottom components connect. As I trace around the edges, everywhere seems to fine except at that one connection point. Now I'm really concerned that my phone has a physical defect and may need to be exchanged. Has anyone else noticed this? Should I be concerned and get an exchange? I'm really bummed that my phone may have a problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a notification light on the Droid X? If so, does anyone know how to get it to work? I have looked in all of the settings and I can not find where to turn the notification lights on and yes, it does appear to have a notification light, I just can't get it to work.

View 15 Replies View RelatedSo my little notification light up in the right corner keeps flashing after I get a call. The only way I've found to stop it is by restarting the phone. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem or knew of any possible ways to fix it.I was thinking it might have been a bug with the app Missed Call, but I've played with all the settings on there and it hasn't changed. I don't know what else could be causing it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the last few weeks my notification light doesn't come on for anything except a low battery. I've seen from other posts here that it only comes on in sleep mode in 2.1, but mine doesn't even come on then. I downloaded LED Tester from the market and those aren't coming up either which has me worried. If this means a VZW swap, backup recommendations?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy light has stopped working. The LED isnt dead, cos I DL'd Missed Call from the Market, and it works with that app, but not when I get a text, tweet or FB invite/msg/event. It flashed green for: tweets and texts and Blue for FB notifications.
View 15 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden my notify light displays a constant blue light when the phone is put to sleep. I've uninstalled Chomp and I do not have any social networking apps installed nor do I have accounts synced to the phone. All messages on my phone have been read.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has probably been asked before but I can't find anything in searches. Is there an app that allows you to customize the notification light on the X?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone knows how to turn on the charging notification light on the DX? I can't seem to find anyway to get it to work.
View 9 Replies View Relatedif so, where is it, what colors does it flash, and is there a pattern for a type of notification (such as email, text, missed call, etc)?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just switched from i Phone 4 to Droid X. Very exciting, since not only I have to learn how to use it but also I need to optimize the phone as well. (So much to do, I was bored with i Phone 4 ) So far battery life is not that great, drops 10 % every hour or 2 without heavy duty. (is this normal?) But yeah my question is every time I unlock the screen,(so when the screen wakes up) the notification light blinks with blue/red color. Is that normal? I checked Motorola, it wasn't on the manual.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI had no clue what it was until I checked the nav bar, and saw it was a facebook update. Wow, I thought, maybe they fixed the facebook app in the background without forcing me to update. Haven't seen the blue light since, and it has been 2 days and 7-9 notifications later.
Any idea when they will fix the facebook app? Or better yet, any idea how I got it to light up once randomly? It was somebody posting a comment on my wall post fyi (and the notifications still don't refresh in the app itself). Also, why can't I view linked youtube videos from other peoples comments? Obviously the droid can use youtube, so it seems odd that they wouldn't let you watch posted videos.
My green notification light has quit working. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter the 2.1 update my notification light has stopped working. It no longer lights up for anything! Anyone else have this issue?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI ran Pete's StopOTA.zip file and still just woke up to a system update notification! Now what? The LAST thing I want to do is run stock.
View 41 Replies View RelatedIs there any way in Locale to turn off the notification LED? I can't stand the blinking pink notification LED telling me I have email at 3 in the morning. I just don't see an option in Locale to turn this off.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was wondering is there any way i can stop my text messages from showing up in the top notification bar? Like who the message is from and what the message says?
Also is anybody else having problems with landscape mode? When i first got the phone it would go into landscape mode without the keyboard, but now it wont. I was wondering is the next software update going to fix it and if when?
OK so the reason im posting this here is because I'm confused. I have had the droid rooted for some time now and it seems since day one my battery life decrease more and more and i take more widgets and time off my phone but it still is terrible. I also realize that batteries die after some time so I'm wondering if anyone has this problem. I have had the droid pretty much since the day it came out and the battery hasn't been the best. should i get a new battery? would that solve it? maybe its just worn down from being with the phone since the beginning.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI don't know what I did, but it seems that my data synch is on non-stop. Maybe I never noticed before but in the notification bar, I see the recycle arrow icon just to the left of 3G and I can't seem to turn it off and my battery is running out faster than normal and the phone is very hot. I have used the Power Widget to power cycle (turn on/off) the data sync to no avail...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got my Droid X today and am worried about the battery life. How do I stop the updating of the facebook posts and the twitter posts? And how else can I preserve my battery life?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis happened yesterday before I charged the battery from the store so I accepted it, however, today not so much.
The battery seems to hold off fine, but then as soon as the battery hits about 35%, it goes into a free fall until finally - minutes later - the 5% warning pops up and all of the sudden the phone shuts off and has to be charged to above 10% before it will even turn on.
Has anyone noticed this on their new Droid X (After the primary charge)?
I'm looking for a bar and battery icon just like the 24k MM theme but without the middle number showing the percent of battery life and it goes from green to red when almost empty. Anyone point me in the right direction? i also got the 24kk theme but just want to put the notif. bar on what file is it under?
View 12 Replies View RelatedSo earlier today I flashed cyanogen's rom and noticed that the battery icon on the notification bar had the battery % on the battery, the built in one not the on from the battery indicator app, and I thought that looked really slick. I was wondering if there was a way I could get that thru using metamorph or something.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIm using droidmod 1.0 and was wondering how to change the battery icon like i have been seeing many times
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to modify how long the LED light will flash when you have an unread message or email? I found several programs in the market but they only seemed concerned with "changing" the color of the light (which does not work) and how fast the light will flash. But none of them had a setting to make the LED flash for say 4 hours after I receive a message unless I check it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just picked up an Eris after having the nearly identical Hero for about 3 weeks. On the Hero, there was a notification LED on the top of the phone. It blinked when I had new e-mail, texts, or voicemails. I see the Eris has a small LED light in the top right corner, but that seems to only light up when charging? Is that all that light does? Indicate when the phone is charging? I would think that would blink when notifications from SMS, calls or e-mail come in? Is it supposed to?
