Sep 23, 2010Whenever I plug my phone in, it tries to install the drivers but can't. I am running XP and yes I know it's because I have USB debugging turned on. But you kind of have to if you want to root it. I've tried turning USB debugging off, installing the drivers, and then turning it back on which failed. ADB wouldn't recognize my phone. I've tried charge only and PC mode. I'm getting irritated because I paid money for Root explorer and I'd like to be able to use it. Not to mention titanium backup.

Sep 3, 2010I just got my new laptop today. When I did the .sbf restore before I was on Windows Vista 32bit. I now am on Windows 7 32bit. Do I need to find new drivers or anything or everything going to work the same if I need to sbf?
I have a question about shutter lag. Is there a way to reduce the lag? I have been doing some of the suggested mods to the build.prop file and I am wondering if there is a mod we can do to reduce shutter lag when taking a pic.
Motorola Droid X :: Uninstall All Drivers And Start From Scratch
Aug 30, 2010All right guys I'm having all sorts of driver issues. At one time I've been able to take screen shots for my X, use adb, the works. Now for some reason I can't get any of it to work. I'm sure I have a driver conflict somewhere. What I want to do is wipe out all the drivers that are installed for my X and start from scratch like my X has never been plugged into my computer.

Mar 28, 2010I keep getting error: device not found when I try to use adb with my phone.
~Windows XP SP2, 32bit
~The SDK is installed and working.
~The USB drivers have been downloaded through the SDK.
~The phone is in USB Debug mode.
~The USB drivers have been installed in windows.
~Windows device manager shows that everything is working fine.
~Windows recognizes the phone when it is plugged in.
The ONLY thing that does not work is that the phone won't show up in the list of devices adb sees. Everything else appears to be setup and working just fine!

I have been trying to go back to the stock firmware using this guide: [URL] ..... but I have a problem. The adb drivers for my device work fine when I am in the system or in the recovery, but don't work in the bootloader. I am able to type "adb reboot bootloader" when I'm in the system/recovery and it will follow the command, but once I get into the bootloader it stops. When I type "adb devices" a line saying "List of devices attached" comes up with nothing underneath it.

However, in trying so many different things, I did seem to come up with a true issue that I can actually pin down...I don't have any drivers installed for the DInc. I tried the edit method for the .inf file in the sdk and tried to manually update the drivers (device manager says there aren't any drivers installed for it at all) and it just simply doesn't see any drivers there. I'm kind of lost. Installed HTC Sync and uninstalled and reinstalled three times. What am I missing (other than drivers, of course) to get this installed? Where/how can I get the drivers and actually install them?

General :: How To Install ADB Drivers
Sep 22, 2013I boot my Acer Iconia Tab A200 into fastboot mode (robot lying down and RED exclamation mark over it). I plug it into my Windows 7 (64bit) desktop computer with SDK installed, and from the directory with fastboot.exe I type FASTBOOT DEVICES but the device is not being seen, it just goes back to the prompt, like the command executed but didn't do anything. I assume this is because the drivers aren't installed. But I don't know how to install the "adb drivers".

I have installed the ADB drivers, and have gotten to the point where I need to start loading files onto the phone, however; I am now unable to mount the phone via USB. On the phone it says "USB connected", but the device does not appear in my computer. I should mention I am doing this from windows XP, so I was not able to follow the guide exactly, however the drivers did seem to install successfully. Currently in the device manager I see "ABD Interface > SAMSUNG GALAXY"
