Is everyone thats rooted updated the wifi teather app to a 2.1 version if so which one. The site that has the app only shows a 2.0 version for the Droid. Just wondering if we should update to a newer version. N1 or something 2.1?

View 15 Replies View Relatedjust announced and released, a new version of Skype that CAN use wifi, something everyone was clamoring for. I have not loaded up yet, but might try later today and see how wifi works. it is getting okay Comments, but not great. Huge 14mb - which for rooted people is okay as we can force it to the SD card as it is not native SD card app though. No video ability. apparently sign-out or logging off is a bit tricky and hidden.

I used androot and it seems to have rooted my phone however it does not ask me permission(yet i literally just downloaded it) now my question is this:
I have downloaded wireless tether for root users version 2.0.1(I am running 2.1 update1) I am not sure if that was the correct version...but I am online so I assume so.
How do I open the NAT settings on the wifi however? that is the whole point of me doing this charade and I cannot figure it out. I try to play MW2 online and it says they are strict.
I paid the 9.99 and it seems to be missing some drivers, anyone else have this issue I'm running it on a vista system.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running modaco 3.2 core custom rom ssh seems pretty good very little lag but cant help thinking that something is wrong as titanium back up, wireless teather and super user permision don't work they all load and then the screen goes black and says su request in the corner before saying activity su request(in application superuser permissions)is not responding, force close. i rooted and also started using gde home mod got to say it is pretty good although i had to pay for it but has a good replacement for sence only trouble is widgets don't seem to work or just aren't there except for clock,conversation, any of you experiencing this problem?is there something similar but better that widgets do work. what is the best firmware/rom upgrade e.g 1.6-1.8 or 2.1. Has anyone got these working well on the hero. Is there a big delay when waiting for a alert after you receive a message or is it just my hero?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using the latest Wifi Fix and OverClock kernel for 2.2 Froyo, but I'm still having issues randomly disconnecting from the wireless network... The wifi signal shows 0/3 bars even when sitting right in front of the router.
Froyo Overclocked Kernels includes *wifi* fix is where I got my kernel. I've been overclocking to 1200 GHz.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently updated my phone to 2.2 using the new 2.2 SBF. My phone is running great now after fresh install. I thought the SBF would flash a new bootloader version like the OTA. I think the OTA is 30.03 that changed signatures preventing downgrading. Anyway after I flashed the new SBF I looked at the bootloader version and it was still 30.01. Dose anyone have any info on this?

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe OTA downloaded but failed to install on my X running rooted 2.1 and nextheme. No apps deleted or other mods of any kind. I removed the theme and decided to go with the leaked version rather than deal with new restrictions on the OTA. I tried installing the stock 2.2 version in rom manager and it failed. I wiped the phone and rerooted and installed bootstrap and rom manager then tried again and it failed. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

View 42 Replies View RelatedI'm a lil torn here, so I figured I'd pose the question to my Droid brethren. I absolutely loved xScope until recently. It was the fastest and the I was very comfortable with the layout and the one finger zooming. But the whole update to the trial version just really ruined the experience. Is it wrong for a Dev to make an app paid, no, not at all. But with so many free browsers to choose from, why couldn't you just put out a donate version?
I had Dolphin HD already for downloading files as it seems to be the most reliable, but never really used it for surfing. And now I know why. It's the most annoying browser I've ever used. I hate having to scroll to the top of the page to change tabs, it's slower (even with their Fast Browser addon), and that stupid menu thing that keeps getting in my way when I scroll to the right is the stupidest feature I've ever seen.
I'm currently using Skyfire, but the app just closes on me way too much. I've never tried Opera, so I guess I'll have to give it a go. What say you?
Im just wondering what software version everyone has on their phone. Mine is 1.13.516. I know .514 is the oldest then .516 and .604 is supposed to be the most recent. Does anyone have .604?

My set CPU won't update to the new version on market I had a different app do this and I had to uninstall it and reinstall it to fix it. I'm hesitant to do that for this app cause its a paid app and I don't want to pay twice to reinstall it. Any ideas to fix this would be great.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHopefully just a mini emergency. Last I knew I was still running the original .9 leaked 2.2 froyo update. Tried installing bootstrap to upgrade to TBH's leaked .15 update and now my phone is stuck in the boot cycle the first time I tried booting in bootstrap recovery. I pulled the battery and tried booting into recovery, wiped cache and data, still can't get my phone to boot. Searched to see how to remove the bootstrap through adb to no avail. Figured it would just be easier to sbf, but remembered that was bricking a lot of people. Checked my bootloader and I'm on 30.01, but can't remember which version bootloader works with sbf. I found that 2.2 official OTA upgrades the bootloader to 30.03, but I'm still really afraid to sbf without confirming I'll be ok.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAll credit for this animation release goes to Fab, I just made all the images about 20% smaller in file size (not dimensions).The best place in my opinion for boot animations is data/local. This allows you to keep your stock boot animation in place if you ever decide to delete this new one. The system looks here first anyway for the animation file, then in the system folder. Also if you flash a new rom, and don't wipe data, it should stay in place.
