In all the screenshots I see, there is a clock to the right of the battery level indicator. I don't see a clock on mine. Am I missing something or is there a way to turn that on?

Currently running Adamz smoked glass theme, but the clock in the notification bar is black. Is there something out there that would change it? I've searched on the "other board" and read his whole thread, and someone even mentions it, but no answer that I saw.
View 8 Replies View RelatedFor anyone who didn't see this already over at alldroid, there is a new ROM that I am using that is pretty sweet, its a 2.0.1 rom with 2.1 apps similar to that of the bugless beauty but it doesn't move the /system apps to /data and the notification bar is a dark transparent with white clock? home screen rotation works too. It is a very nice rom and I think very quick, as quick as the version .5 of the bugless one I was using. He is also coming out with a version with wifi tethering but said u can install it separately and it works. I haven't tested that out yet. All in all its a great rom and I am definitely sticking with this one because the theme applied is super slick!

I have alarms set every day, and I see no need to have an icon up there to remind me. Trust me, being woken up that early every day is reminder enough.

AdamZ has updated method A (now called Droid Customizer) and it now changes all notification colors. It will overwrite any other changes you have previously made to the services.jar and framework-res.apk files so the manual method is still useful for people who have already made changes and don't want to lose them.

If you are familiar with the installation process of the smoked glass themes then this is an option. Has 13 color options as well as 12 font options that you can use.
B - Manually (sorta) change everything. I did it this way because AdamZ's method in A wasn't out yet and I think the way described in method A might overwrite other changes you have made (not sure on that though)
This will probably look long with a lot of steps but it really isn't too complicated.

Rooted
Android sdk installed and some familiarity with adb
adb info: Start Here | Root Your Droid
1 - Plug in your phone and don't mount the sd card.
2 - On your computer open a command prompt and navigate to the android sdk tools folder.
3 - Type these commands:

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt seems like everyone uses a home screen clock of some sorts, so I figured I was missing out. I tried a few, but can't get over how much screen real estate you lose! What's the point of losing 4 icons just to see the time, which is plainly displayed on the top of the screen already??? I have the stock Moto power bar up there, which is very helpful, but it takes up 4 spots too. Am I missing something, or do people just need to have the clock that big in their face all the time? BTW, I went from a Palm OS Tore to a Win Mo Treo (and i Pod touch) and then finally got the Droid back in January and I couldn't be happier!! Also, am I having major troubles switching the weather from Toronto to my current city. I've added the weather for my city and changed my location but when I go into weather and set Hamilton then hit home, it still shows Toronto. What am I missing?
I have a gsm galaxy nexus, running the latest jelly bean, not rooted. I recently noticed that my clock app is gone. I can no longer find it in the app drawer. Also, the widget on the lock screen is gone, replaced by an older looking clock that has none of the functionality (stop watch, alarms, etc...) that the stock app came with. How I can get it back? View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a none branded/unlocked Desire with firmware version 2.10.405.2, now, there used to be an option in older firmware versions, how old i can't remeber, to enable a sound notification for SD Card events, such as unmounting, mounting, etc, but this option seems to have been removed, at least on my phone, could someone please take a look through thier phone settings and confirm if this option is there, or not, i used to enable this option when connecting to the PC so i would know when the SD Card had unmounted/mounted.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a non-rooted Droid 2 and the Desk/Home dock. When I first tried it out, it worked as expected-starting the home dock screen when placed in the dock. However, I now find that whenever I dock the droid, the notification bar shows that it is connected to the multimedia dock but it does not start the dock application. I used Astro to browse the /system/apps folder and found the Dock app- clicked on Open App manager and then Launch at which point I get a message saying "Activity not found com.motorola.dlauncher". I don't know if this is why nothing is happening when I dock the Droid but can anyone tell me why this suddenly stopped working and what I can do to get it working again?

I just recently rooted it and installed Jelly bean with EOS-tf101-20130617-120.zip and gapps_4.2.2_TF101_20130323b.zip Everything seems to be working fine except with the notification area failing to show mounted sd, micro sd and usb drives. When they are inserted into the tablet I see in the notification area that the system is scanning the micro sd card but after it is mounted nothing is there. As a result it is difficult to unmount them except for going to settings and then storage device and then unmount them from there.
With Ice cream android, when I put in any sd cards, the notification area would have the sd cards listed. I could open it with a folder and browse it and I could unmount it also when finished with it.
What I must do to get the sd card listed in the notification area?
I just got my captivate about a week ago and have been having issues with my alarm clock. I set my alarm to wake me up every morning. Some mornings I am up before the alarm goes off so I turn it off, or atleast I think I turn it off. When the alarm is on I see the clock in the notification bar. So when I wake up I click the clock icon and turn off the alarm. I no longer see the icon on the notification bar but the alarm seems to go off anyway. The repeat for the alarm is set at "once". I just go in every night and turn it on. It just seems to go off anyway even when it is turned off earlier in the morning.ks
