Why do I keep getting sent to amazon?
It seems every time I try to open a multi page thread on page 2 or later I end up at amazon.com.
Is it just me? I zoom way in and do my best to hit the little number or "last page".
Can I block amazon to avoid this? Any other work around?
It's making it really hard to enjoy this site on my droid.

I've called the only 2 people I know who have the Droid, none of us have the Amazon MP3 app anymore. I'm not sure when it was lost, but I'm thinking maybe with the update. I didn't use it all the time, but when did, I really liked it.

I'm using Liquid Frozen Yogurt v1.7.1, so including it in the ROM wasn't an option during the installation process.

I have bugless beauty installed .8.5 and just can't for the life of me figure out how people are doing this.
Has anyone else noticed the Amazon MP3 App (the one that comes preinstalled with the phone) doesn't work if Wifi is turned on? I've tried it on two wifi networks (home and work) and I can't purchase or download if it's on.
I don't know if it matters, but both networks use WPA2. One is PSK and the other uses RADIUS authentication.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so does anyone know a fix?
Last night I donated and am just waiting for the paid version now, but I have a couple of questions:
1. What exactly is "freezing" an app? Will it remove the app from the app drawer? Will it just prevent it from running?
2. Can I use Titanium backup to delete apps that are safe for delete like amazon.mp3, etc?
3. If I "freeze" an app like backup assistant will it still be on the phone so that it doesn't brick if I do a reset?
4. Can I delete or freeze things like crap ringtones so they don't show up when I am setting a ringtone?
Is there a way to add this to my Milestone? I used this app all the time when downloading a song I just heard and I was sad to see it not on the Milestone. I know why, but can I add it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I'm at my brother in law's wedding over the weekend and the wedding music cd was basically destroyed. Everyone else had iphone's which didn't have the 3.5 connector to play through the chappel's speaker system. On top of that we were kind of in the middle of no where so their 3g signals were pretty spotty. Luckily my verizon android had a perfect signal so I went on to Amazon mp3 and bought the songs I needed and became the default A/V guy for the ceremony.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've switched from the Iphone 3G to the Eris 20 days ago. Android is sweet, but am feeling frustrated with the speed of the Eris. I upgraded to the rooted 2.1 in hopes of speeding things up, and it did for the most part, but it still lags when trying to make calls. Call quality is subpar on both ends, I had better call quality with ATT and the iphone. I am considering returning the phone to AmazonWireless if possible, do you think they would notice I installed 2.1? Will I get my new account activation upgrade on a different phone (Incredible or N1). I plan on activating an old phone until one of those comes out, then using my upgrade discount on that. Worst case is I'd have to sell it on ebay and buy an unlocked version.

"My uploads" - whatever that is, "Voice Dialer" never works correctly anyway and "Messages" are the other ones. Until Verizon makes Text messages free and or I feel the need to bother somebody with a few poorly typed text messages, instead of using the phone - I would like to get rid of this app that wont shut off!

I've never launched it and I keep having to manually kill it through running services. I'm also noticing Shop Savvy is having the same relaunch issue, but I can always uninstall that one, unfortunately unless we get root we're stuck w/ the amazon mp3.

View 5 Replies View RelatedLet me start by saying that the Droid is a pretty impressive piece of technology.I tried purchasing an MP3 through the Amazon MP3 app, which comes pre-installed on the Droid. Everything looked like it was working fine, until I got to the checkout part. I entered my amazon e-mail and password, accepted the terms of service, and was immediately taken to the "Now purchasing" screen - I was never prompted for a method of payment (is this normal).Has anyone else experienced this? Are others prompted to choose a payment method? The only other posts that I've found with this problem are from people in the UK who bought the phone in the US. The responses indicate that the problem is maybe due to the app accessing the US store, but the user being located in the UK. I bought my phone in Maryland, and that's where I live, so I don't see how this could be the problem.

Anyone know of a way to remove the Amazon MP3 Store application from an Eris? I have root access thanks to Universal 1 Click, but I don't see a way to remove this application. It keeps starting itself and I don't ever use it. While I do use apps on my phone I don't even play music on it.
Using AndExplorer I can navigate to my App folder and see that I can reinstall by clicking on the Amazommp3.apk file, but it won't let me delete that file and there is no uninstall option.
On the Amazon wireless site I see that I can upgrade my contract ( I am due in 5 days) with an Eris for a penny. The only catch I can see is that one must stick with the selected plan for 180 days (kind of a no brainer since nowadays two years is the norm). So I emailed Verizon to see if they could match the deal.
