I've called the only 2 people I know who have the Droid, none of us have the Amazon MP3 app anymore. I'm not sure when it was lost, but I'm thinking maybe with the update. I didn't use it all the time, but when did, I really liked it.

It seems every time I try to open a multi page thread on page 2 or later I end up at amazon.com.
Is it just me? I zoom way in and do my best to hit the little number or "last page".
Can I block amazon to avoid this? Any other work around?
It's making it really hard to enjoy this site on my droid.
I know this goes against the majority here, but the ROM I'm using doesn't include the Amazon MP3 app and I'd really like to have it. Any way for me to get it? I'm using Liquid Frozen Yogurt v1.7.1, so including it in the ROM wasn't an option during the installation process.

I have bugless beauty installed .8.5 and just can't for the life of me figure out how people are doing this.
Has anyone else noticed the Amazon MP3 App (the one that comes preinstalled with the phone) doesn't work if Wifi is turned on? I've tried it on two wifi networks (home and work) and I can't purchase or download if it's on.
I don't know if it matters, but both networks use WPA2. One is PSK and the other uses RADIUS authentication.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so does anyone know a fix?
Last night I donated and am just waiting for the paid version now, but I have a couple of questions:
1. What exactly is "freezing" an app? Will it remove the app from the app drawer? Will it just prevent it from running?
2. Can I use Titanium backup to delete apps that are safe for delete like amazon.mp3, etc?
3. If I "freeze" an app like backup assistant will it still be on the phone so that it doesn't brick if I do a reset?
4. Can I delete or freeze things like crap ringtones so they don't show up when I am setting a ringtone?
Is there a way to add this to my Milestone? I used this app all the time when downloading a song I just heard and I was sad to see it not on the Milestone. I know why, but can I add it?

View 13 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a bone stock Droid.. Nothings rooted ed, modded or anything. Can she use it to get online on her laptop? I know with my EVO, I had to root it to get wireless. She just has a month unlimited data. Does that work or will I have to do pdanet/easy tether or a wifi hack on the phone for her? She is leaving today for a trip and seems to think its just going to work because the phone says wifi on it.

After you root, do you use the wireless hotspot app already on your phone, or do you need to download another app to use. I'm not quite brave enough to try this yet, but as a previous BB Storm user I tried nearly every upgraded OS that was leaked and never had an issue. The universal androot app looks pretty fool proof.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI already picked up some good tips but am having a lot of problems with my droid. I will start with the tethering issue. I have mine done with smoked glass and it has the wireless tether installed. It will open and my computer will sync up with it either secured or unsecured and then you will see a several seconds flash of bytes in and out and then the kbps will drop down to 0 and I will be unable to connect to the internet. I have read that newer versions may solve the problem and that if I dont have my ordinal sd card in, it might be the problem since the info may be needed? I did try copying those folders onto this card but still no good. The android one to be exact. If the only option is to remove this tether and install a new apk one, how do I that? I cant seem to find it?

View 5 Replies View RelatedBeen running with my Droid now for 3 weeks and I'm finally going to start playing with running wifi at work (my cube and only my cube I have 3g issues ) and I connected to it a couple days ago. Our network admin in his infinite wisdom created a pass key that is like 46 characters long. So I entered it, and was connected. Fast forward to today, I enabled wifi again and tried connecting to the network and it asked me for the pass key again. Does it now save that? Is it supposed to? I would assume that would be a pretty big PITA that every time I want to connect to wireless network that I've connected to before it re-asks me my password.

I have tried it with and without a wep key and with and without access control, but I always get error code 51300 or 51301. I don't know if this is because it seems like there is still some sort of mac filtering (which is not supported by the ds) even when access control is disabled. Is there anyway to preapprove a certain mac address or has anyone been able to get their wifi connection to work with the ds?

Is there a way to save these settings to my SD card or something to be automatically applied after the factory reset and cache wipe?
