Has anyone been having issues with the facebook app today? I can look at my friends, my wall, my friend's walls. But for some reason, when I go to look at my news feed, it returns with a [null] error and displays "No Content". I've already both rebooted the phone and cleared out the cached app data via "manage applications". Any more suggestions or is anyone else in the same boat?

I'm sure this isn't news to any of you veterans, but this is my first android device so please bare with me. I'm using the facebook app and have noticed that neither the app itself or the widget show the actual facebook live feed or provide a way to access it....
Of course my next thought was "well what if I just use the facebook page in a browser window". Turns out that's not as simple as I thought! Apparently facebook not only has a mobile page, it also has a "touch" page that it likes to route you to. Neither the mobile or the touch facebook pages have a way to access the live feed either....
I removed my facebook account because I didn't wane all of my friends in my contacts, but a few of them are still in my contacts and I can't delete them!

I currently have HTC Hero and love how facebook and gmail contacts integrate. You can choose which contacts are linked and it doesnt merge FB people if i dont have them in GMAIL. Like the facebook photos populating the contact and access to FB albums and statuses for my gmail contacts. It works really well.
But this banter I heard on Droid X indicated the motorola ver of this social integration is not so ellegant. That it merges all facebook contacts and something about if you use backup manager it saves new contacts to the phone NOT to Gmail!
This concerns me as I love the elegance of all contacts being in GMAIL. Can someone with a droid x who perhaps came from HTC Sense explain how contact management with facebook is different? Is it "Bad"?
The Facebook app that came with the Droid is no longer working. It gives "[102/session key invalid]" The timing is around the recent Facebook update. Do I need a new app?
View 6 Replies View RelatedOk so I just flashed JRummy's remix last night and since then I haven't been able to get my Facebook account to sync... I do the Settings>Accounts and sync>Add Account>Facebook and all it does is go back to the add account page... I had this problem before I used JRummy's so I don't think it is the ROM... (that time I just kept hitting facebook and it eventually worked).

I have it set so the notification refreshes every 30 mins, but that doesn't work either.. someone commented on my wall and even after 2 hours, i didn't get any notification. is this just how the facebook application is? if it is, are there any other (better) facebook app for droid?

It doesn't always update and/or my post's won't go through. Also it doesn't show birthdays, which is annoying. Can you get the full site or is there a better FB app out there?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday i went to my facebook app, a Captcha or whatever where you have to enter the letters correctly came up. I entered it correctly. Which the shit was weird cause never ever seen that before. Once i entered it, the app deleted itself and now i cant download it. But the facebook icon is still in my launcher and its the way older version. I am rooted with just the Revolution theme installed. I have Bootsrapper and rom manager. I also created a full back up before i installed REVOlution. Any one have any ideas on how to fix that?

When I try to delete them, it says I have to go to Facebook and delete them as a friend. NO! I don't want to delete all my friends, many whom are there just for Farmville and some are even cats and dogs! I NEVER want to call them or email them (some are on the other side of the world!). I just want them for Farmville friends and NOT to be on my phone as contacts!

But don't know what apk to re-install so my contacts automatically update. I used syncmypix but I am not a fan of it. I have downloaded both system apps zip files. I plan on deleting those but don't want them to re-appear at a later date. Is there a way to turn off FB syncing after just the initial sync? When you go to the facebook picture from an album there was an option that said "set as". Well today I went to go try to set a picture to another friend and the "set as" option no longer shows up? View 3 Replies View RelatedA decent number of my contacts are syncing with facebook but there are no photos associated with them. When I click on their facebook account through the contact card their profile doesn't show either their profile picture or any of their photo albums. Most of my other friends are syncing and properly showing pictures, but for some reason a fair number won't display any pictures. Anyone else having this problem?
