Motorola Droid : How To Save Pictures From Browser To Phone?
Dec 1, 2009i would like to select pictures on the browser and save the file to my phone so that i may be able to use it as a background, ringer id, ect. i have tried to search for this but was unable to find an answer. i just got this phone yesterday and i love it! already downloaded several aps, and i love the barcode readers!

I was wondering how to remove the contact photos. I uninstalled syncmypix and also the cache is gone, but I still have the pictures on my contacts.

Nov 23, 2010I'm having no luck deleting some pics that I no longer need on my phone. I had previously created a new folder called Stuff using ES File Explorer where I had temporarily stashed these pics. This folder is visible when I go into the Gallery, as are folders named Camera and Messaging. Some of these stashed pics were copied from Camera and some from Messaging...so like a dummy, I have the same pics showing up in three different places.
Anyway, I finally decided today that I wanted to delete those pics. I opened the Stuff folder in the Gallery, menu selected all, then hit delete. The screen flashed momentarily, then all the images reappeared. I tried the same thing again, but no luck. I even deleted the Stuff folder while in ES File Explorer, but it still shows up when I go into the Gallery. When I opened the other folders, Camera and Messaging, when I try to delete the pictures, the Delete option is grayed out.
I have no idea why, but I then went into ES File Explorer /sdcard/dcim/.thumbnails (had to select the option to view hidden files/folders) and wondered if maybe it was just the thumbnail images which still remained. So I deleted those too. Still no luck.
What am I doing wrong. Where do I have to go, or what do I have to do, to delete this stuff permanently?

Nov 29, 2009Believe me when I say that I never thought in a million years it would be possible to have a smartphone with a worse mail app than the iphone. Then the Droid came. I mean come on! We can't save pictures, can't batch delete, hell we can't even click most links! Maybe I'm venting a little, but It's kind of embarassing when your a company's web apps work better than their natively installed apps that come pre-installed on a phone whose OS you developed!

Open Folder to View Files
Okay, should be the second option. But when I click on this (Open Folder), the only folder options I get are things like: Autorun, Config, Setup, etc.). No "folders" per se.

Sep 16, 2010My mom recently upgraded to a D2, and when switching phones, a Verizon rep. copied all her contacts from her old phone to her new phone. Since Android has the ability to sync Gmail contacts, I exported her phone contacts and imported them to Gmail online. The problem is that now her phone seems to be confused on what data to use (contacts physically stored onboard vs. Gmail contacts online). We have changed the view under Contacts to only show Google contacts, but that doesn't solve the problem. Since she no longer needs the contacts physically stored on her phone, how do we delete those WITHOUT deleting the Google contacts also... where are they physically stored on the phone?

Nov 12, 2009I have only had the Droid for 24 hours and I have had it reset on me about 8 times already. I really am not too sure why. Mostly its been while doing different tasks in different applications. But as of the last 3 times, it has been while I was using the Broswer. Essentially, it just completely locks up (no haptic feedback either) and either resets itself, or else I have to hold teh Shift+Alt+Del to reset it.Has anyone else had this problem?
