I've figured out how to put folders on the desktop and arrange things there.I'm wondering if it is possible to put folders in the apps menu and clean it up a bit.It would allow me to group like apps and not have to scroll through so many icons.

My apologies for all the questions lately but after removing those widgets I no longer use from my EVO I've noticed that when long pressing on a screen and selecting widgets the menu shows those widgets tht were there as this:ff000000, #ffccccc, 0.0dip, 100.0dip, 200, 300, false, etc. My questions is how do I clean up this menu so it no longer shows the non existant widget? A factory reset or wipe?

But when I look in the SD card in windows, there are dozens of app created folders. Is there a way to make android create a Program Files like directory like windows so all app data can go into it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I started playing with my new Droid (4409) I saw that it had the same auto-focus issues that everyone else complained about.Setting the unit to action made it focus at infinity, so somewhat better but I couldn't get shopsavy to recognize any barcodes.I cleaned the lens even though it didn't seem dirty and now Shopsavy locks onto bar codes and the unit seems to Auto-focus with just about 100% lock (green corners).Could some of the problems people are having just be be caused by lens placement and skin oils?

I have no intention of copying or trading them. I just would like to know what NOT to delete so that I don't mistakenly erase them from my card.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'll be getting a Droid about the middle of next week. Most my Google contacts don't have phone numbers attached, just e-mail addresses. I also have a Google Voice account and number and plan on using it for most of my phone traffic (which really isn't all that much). About a dozen of my contacts are in there now with their e-mails and phone numbers.
Most my e-mail contacts (a couple hundred) aren't divided into groups right now.
Do I need to clean up my contacts before getting the Droid and syncing things up? Any tips for doing so if needed? I don't want to mess up my Droid right off the bat if there are some things I go do in advance to make getting up and running smoother.
Q-tip? Toothpick? Mini-vac? Garden hose?

By these settings I mean the Trackball/Breathing light and similar. These ROMS would seem overall more Droid-oriented without these settings that are basically useless to us Deleting the HTC Copyright .apk seems easy enough..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have little spots on my screen. They aren't dead pixels and they can't be cleaned off. It looks like they are like little spots of residue left over from the screen protector that was on the phone when you buy it. But they don't come off. They're only noticeable when the background is white.
Second, the keyboard is wavy. It's like the rows of the keyboard go up and down, almost like the keyboard didn't fit well in the area it's supposed to go. So the spaces between the rows are lifting up a bit and creating a wavy keyboard. This isn't really much of an issue, but just curious if other people see this as well.
I was just wondering what folks are using to clean there screens?

Well it still looks Old Style...It dosnt look like when I had the N1 where the menu looks like a 3D cube, whats going on? In Videos ive seen on 2.1 on the milestone it looks like the N1, I updated through the Moto site, did I do something wrong? Also in the settings I have 2.1 update-1.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have problems with my recovery menu options. running clockwork mod & i only have the following 4 options in my recovery menu.
1-reboot system now
2-apply sd card: update zip
3-wipe data factory reset
4-wipe cache partition
underneath is the message
e: can't open /cache/recovery/command. without a restore option, i cannot change mod's or kernels--or if i can, i don't know how. i've tried to flash sprecovery from rom manger, but the menu options do not change. any ideas how i can solve this issue?
If you press the Menu button when the phone is in the Motorola Car Dock, a 'Dock Settings' menu pops up leading to an 'Audio' menu. However, the Audio menu doesn't seem to respond or alter anything.Any ideas what this menu is for, or what it's supposed to access? I've tried it with the headphone jack plugged into the car audio, with Bluetooth connected, with music playing, on a phone call, etc. etc. etc., and nothing else comes up.

I'm talking about the hard buttons on the bottom of the phone.This started today. Tried removing the battery and restarting the phone and that didn't seem to work either.Now Droid X not booting at all. Just stays on the "M" and nothing happens. It is definitely still on my phone as it is still in use and the market says "installed".
Can someone tell me what the 'MIN' value is on the Droid X under the Menu -> Settings -> About -> Status? It appears to be a phone number but it isn't mine.
This is just under the 'My Phone Number' field (which does have the correct phone number) and just above the MEID.
Is there any way to make the settings menu icons display in color like on the incredible? Seems a shame to have a HD display but all the options are in black and white.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a few ringtones and notifications that I'm trying to put on the memory of my phone, and not my SD card. I used Root Explorer to move them to system/media/audio/ folder dropping them seperately in "ringtones" and "notifications." After that isn't the file suppose to appear within the menu where I'm trying to apply them either as ringtones or notifications? I don't seem them appearing. The reason for me doing this is sometimes my phone doesn't play the ringtone assigned to a person because the clock rating on the CPU is low, so it doesn't pick up from my SD Card fast enough.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhen I long press on my homescreen to add a widget (say Pandora's widget) I have to scroll through a TON of crap. 5 different beautiful widget options, 7 calendar pad pro options, 6 contact widget options, 6 folder organizer widget options, etc. Most of those I know I will NEVER EVER use. How can I remove them from my "choose widget". My phone is rooted, and one app I used, pure calendar, gave me the option of which "choose widget" menu options to show. So I know it exists somewhere.
