For some reason when I try to download a file I get this message. I don't think it should matter if it is supported or not if I want to save for use later? Using smoked glass 6.0.1 if that matters with stock browser.

I am still new to this android software and I downloaded drop box and deleted it and now when I download ringtones it says that the file type is not supported when the SAME EXACT file worked before I downloaded drop box. Is there a way to choose what files I support. I have a samsung epic if that helps at all.

I am trying to download mp3 files from my file server onto my Droid. Everytime I try to download a song I get the error message Download Unsuccessful. I thought it was a problem with my server but all of my computers can download from it, and I just went and got my mom's Droid ERIS to test. It could successfully download mp3 files from the server. This is ridiculous, why wouldn't my Droid be able to download these files but the ERIS can? Is this a case of Droid DOESN'T?

Yes I know ooooooold firmware. Thing is I've just been given a replacement Galaxy because of the dialpad bug. I had hoped they'd (o2) replace my phone with a different handset but instead they've given me a Galaxy with I7500XXII4. They say I need to have replaced the phone more often (!!!!) before they will give me a different phone. I wish I'd returned it earlier in the year when it was plagued with missed calls, random reboots and all the other bugs we had to endure before firmware fixes.
So now my only way to persuade them to replace the phone is to show them the bugs with II4. So instead of me waiting a week or two and finding the bugs myself, can anyone remember what bugs this firmware has? I have tried searching but it's too messy. I've also tried updating using NPS as I'd obviously rather not be on 1.5 but NPS always gives me a "no file to download error". So that's my first bug, help me find more so I can complain to o2!
I'm trying to do my first Rom. Rom Manager keeps saying Rom Download error. Is there anyplace I can download it. I tried from the links above but I get Nexus 25 or something like that when installing. This is so frustrating to be so close. I'm running 2.0.1 if that matters.
View 5 Replies View RelatedEmailed myself an excel file. I have already installed Shead Spreet Pro (excel editor). After I opened up the email in gmail, I previewed the excel file (wouldn't/couldn't use Shead Spreet) but could not download it to the phone.
The more I use this phone the more I feel helpless using gmail.
You can't search all gmail accounts at once...etc...etc.
You have to so many gmail limitation, I can't believe how much better my Blackberry took care of gmail.

This same exact thing popped up in google maps when i first opened it after flashing to smoked glass v6. but it worked fine. this time though it just made me reinstall google maps and it will not install. whats going on?

I noticed a similar thread by another member.However, my problem is not constant.Sometimes, and as far as I can see it's random, my phone cannot play the music files I have on my SD card.I've tried the stock player and Mixzing. The music is WMA format.Sometimes it'll play the first few seconds, then stop.Sometimes, when I press party shuffle after it says it can't play it plays! This is not just one album, but any of them. Other times it works fine.Is it the WMA format?If I re-rip as MP3 will that help?It's annoying when I think I'm going to listen to an album on a bike ride and then can't!

But took I for my laptop and tethered my phone to copy some music, on my phone for some music it would say 'File type not supported' while all the music, would be mp3. And when I tether again to play the music again it would play with scratches..And finally when I take pictures with the phones camera, I would see it and it would be fine but, when I exit then check my gallery it would be corrupt if, I try and send it on whatsapp (even a song that says "file type not supported") it would say "Not an image/audio file". Should I format my card, get a new one or what?

I'm getting really frustrated. I can't get my PC with all my music and photos to recognize my new phone (Epic). Lots of people are having this issue.
