I was wondering, is there a leaked 2.1 app drawer file that i can download ? I already have the the new 2.1 gallery and I love it!! I really don't want to root my phone, I just want a few 2.1 goodies before the official release.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI ripped my songs off cd's using windows media player, and I was just wondering why every song now plays on a loop. If I go into the music player and select by album or by artist and hit play, it just plays the one song on a loop-never advancing. I tried "play all" but it doesn't work.What im wondering is; What is the proper way to import songs? I either dragged whole albums, or selected multiple ones from my computer and dropped them into the music folder of the eris and it still plays only one song at a time. Of course I can hit the next arrow and it advances but it never does it on its own. What am I doing wrong?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk non-rooted droid. Using the stock media player it will not let me play a certain folder that I downloaded. I can not figure out why it will not play any of the songs on in that certain folder. I downloaded the whole disc set of a certain artist and this is the only folder that does it. I checked and every song is 317 kbps MP3 format. I have some music that I downloaded using iMusic and it is 320 kbps MP3 format, so I have deducted the bitrate as being the issue.

I was listening to the music player and now can't get the program to shut down. It won't force close, I shut it down and pulled the battery, when it re-boots it comes on again and the whole system goes fubar. I can't make calls or anything.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone has ever tried this new stock music player. I found (here:MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service or Mirror:new stock music.rar in the .rar file I included 2 things;
1. A Program called system app backupper
2: Data file for System app Backupper.
In order to install the new music app you have to either push the music.apk file in the sysAppBackup folder included, or you can fallow these steps.
Warning: I am not responsible for any bricked or broken phones.
*requires root*
1. Download .rar file included in this post.
2. Unzip
3. Copy contents of the "new stock music" folder found in .rar to root of sd card so that the folder titled "sysAppBackup" and the file called com.bg.sab.apk is sitting in the root of your sd.
4. Install com.bg.sab.apk to phone. this will install system app backupper to phone.
5. Open the app you just installed. when open it will ask you if you want to be in "backup" or "restore" mode.
6. Choose "restore"
7. On the screen it will just say "music.apk" (unless you already use the app) click on that to check it.
8. Press the menu button, and than press restore.
9. Restart phone.
10. All done.
If phone goes into boot logo loop, reboot into recovery and than clear cache/dalvik cache and fix permissions! I did not make any of these app, nor know who did. I would give credit to the developers if I knew who they were.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI use MediaMonkey to edit all of my mp3 files so that all my artist, album, year, track number, album art, etc is correct. Today I added an artist (Dub_Fx) with 2 albums and one single to my Droid; the single's album art showed, as well as one of the albums, but the other album's album art isn't showing at all, but I used the exact same method for all of the files. Each mp3 has an imbedded image file saved to the tag, each of them 350x350 images, and none of the mp3 files are protected either. Other programs on my computer show the album art correctly (and I've deleted the images from my computer, just to make sure they were saved to the tag and still show properly), but for some reason it won't show for that one album on the Droid's music player. I've even tried changing the album art to something else, copy over to the Droid, change the album art back, rewrite, and still nothing at all.

View 4 Replies View Relatedso I just tried out our music player this evening. Among many other things, I have to say this thing is AWESOME. Yes, I agree, the user interface could use some work. However, the sound is MUCH better than my ipod touch. I use my ipod for music and this monster for everything else. Well, my battery in the ipod died so I put the same earbuds in the Droid and was amazed at the sound.Must say that I am constantly amazed with this thing.

And after I reading the mediascanner sourcecode I think if I want to make the AAC file can be recognized in the music player I should to add following code to mediafile.java:

mediascanner.jave sourcecode, we can see if the aac file is only be regarded as a only aac file not the mp4 single audio. I think the mediascanner.jave should not be modified. But after I modified the mediaFile.java , then I opened the music player the aac file also cannot be seen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI finally got around to putting some music files on the phone, sounds great, but the player plays the tracks of an album in alphabetical order, not in normal track order. Does anyone know of a solution to this? Right now all my music files (28 gigs worth) are wma files....could this be the problem? I want to convert all of them to mp3, anyone know of a quick way to do this. I know there are several programs I can use to do this, it just sounds rather time consuming. Hoping someone might have some tip for quick conversion.
