New to rooting and just got myself setCPU. I was wondering what some standard profiles that people use to maximize performance and battery life. So far I have it set to underclock when the screen is off and when less than a certain battery percentage. What temperature should I be looking at as "dangerous" to set my cpu to underclock then as well? Any other recommended profiles?

Anyone using SetCPU to enforce underclocking profiles with their X? I'm concerned about how hot the X gets when it's charging in the car dock and using Navigation. Would downclocking the cpu to 800MHz or 600MHz when the battery is above a certain temp (45C or so) make a difference? Has anyone noticed any battery gains from using other profiles?
View 45 Replies View RelatedIve got several profiles and sometimes it seems I have to open SetCPU for it to notice my priority. For instance I have 75 priority on >75 for it to be 800 and 1000 higher obviously. Well my phone was at 70 of course I didn't know the exact number and it showed 1000 but I clicked on SetCPU then clicked profiles and it dropped to 800. I'm not sure if you just have to click on the app and it updates or you have to click on it to refresh the screen. I've noticed it does this from time to time. Anyone have this problem?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was using Locale for the past few days and it was working fine. I added defaults to it so I can have the ringer at high volume when I'm not at work. Well, once I added the defaults, it no longer uses my "Work" profile. I know it's not a GPS issue, because I have it set based on time. I've checked and double checked the settings, and I cannot figure out why it is keeping me in default mode while I'm right in the middle of my work schedule. Anybody else have this problem?
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Droid with Droidmod 1.0. I just updated to the newest version and for some reason when i have my profiles on.It sets it to max of 384 and min of 250. The lowest max i have set in my profiles is 600 so how can it show max is 384.
I know this is something real easy.
Of course using auto-detect

on-demand (profiles)
max on all profiles is set to 600 min 250.
Most of my contacts have 3-4 Facebook profiles listed under their contact information, but they all link to the same thing.

I am using Nexbeast 1.0 and I have installed setcpu and advanced task manager. I hear that it messes up somehow but I haven't noticed any problems. In fact before I installed setcpu my phone kept on restarting due to overheating. Am i messing my phone up in a way I can't detect? Any clarification on this issue would be great.

I can run anything. I'm just looking for a way to individually sync facebook contacts to existing phone contacts. I don't need all 1000 of my fb friends on my phone. I switched to a Motorola Droid 5 days ago (from a Blackberry curve). I'm having some trouble understanding some of the behavior and getting used to it. These are all things that I didn't have to deal with on the blackberry. I know they are different devices but I use my Phone primarily for work. I'm afraid now that I'll miss important messages or voice calls..
- Phone goes Mute (ringer)... No idea how it gets there. Probably a bad finger swipe on the home screen. Is there a way to disable this?
- No easy change from profiles (notifications, ringer, etc...). I tried a few apps but they all seems to fail at turning on/off notifications for e-mail/gmail.
- don't receive my messages (gmail), seems like it doesn't sync all the time
- gapps crashes all the time when downloading an app from the market.
- Random calls...
- Didn't use the browser, battery is 70%. Put it down for a movie (2 hours) and then battery is now 20%... Browser used the battery 50% according to the phone. Switch to the browser, was on the google.com home page.
I did search on all of these and they seem to be pretty much standard issues that people are having. Are they?Other that that it seems like a great phone. But like I said, I'm afraid of not getting calls sometime because it gets turned to "mute".
I just rooted my droid to Liquid froyo 1.6. Everything is smooth except for SetCPU, it doesn't want to do anything for me. I made a widget, and whenever I try to change my speed, overclock or underclock it force closes, it won't let me do anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded and installed Bekit's 1GHz kernel and by default on SetCPU it shows it running at 1000MHz and such.But when I open SetCPU, it shows the bar maxed out at 528MHz with the Min at 245Mhz. And if I try and change it, it reverts the cpu back to 528MHz.I'm going to try another kernel (I checked to make sure I was in fact running Bekit's 1GHz kernel in the about phone), but can anyone explain this?long bench was 762ms, so I'm apt to think it's something with the display and that I am in fact overclocking correctly, yes? UPDATE: Sorry all I just uninstalled and reinstalled SetCPU and this corrected the discrepancy.
