View 8 RepliesSo I randomly noticed today that Gmail 2.3 is available in the market, which is the highest version I've seen anywhere. It shows up in my list of downloads, but doesn't show as 'Installed.' I'm currently running 2.2.1 on rooted Inc.
When I click install, it says that it is unsuccessful. Do I need to remove 2.2.1 first, and then try to install? It doesn't give the "update" option. Just want to make sure uninstalling 2.2.1 won't cause any issues.
i just got my droid back from being flashed to cricket and i gave the man who did it the wrong password for my gmail account. so he made me a new one. it wont let me delete it says because it has something to do with apps. im trying to setup my other account so i can get all my paid apps back. i dont mind having the new account but would like my other one for the apps.it wants me to do a reset to erase all user data but ill loose flash files if i do. any ideas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAGAIN, my DX doesn't work. I can't access the Market, Internet, Facebook, Maps, etc. It says I have "no connection" or "cant fetch data" and so on. This happened to me when I rooted using the "Z4Root" method. When that happened I used RSDLite and flashed the Stock 2.2. SBF file back to stock, so I could start fresh and root again. Roooler from DF helped me root again using the "RootMyX2" method. Everything went fine, I was able to root, overclock, remove apps, etc. I made a backup before I did anything. Tonight, all of a sudden Google Voice wouldn't work for me, every time I pressed the button it said "no audio" when I tried to talk. I figured what the hell, I would just restore my backup, haven't tried it yet to see if it works, the restore went fine. When I got my phone up and running the SAME PROBLEMS started again. I can't use the Internet, Gmail and Market says "no connection", etc. I made sure GPS and DATA are on in the Power Widget.
I really need to figure out why this keeps happening. This is the second root method I've tried and still get these problems. I need someone, anyone to HELP! LOL, this is getting ridiculous.
I have a droid x. I have problems with my gmail updating by it self.it used to update before by its self.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe update reset the sync option on my gmail account. However, after resetting the sync option it is taking forever to receive an email, like 8-10 minutes where before the update it happened almost instantly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince the 2.1 update I received yesterday I have not gotten any notifications for my gmail account. This was never a problem before the 2.1 update. Has this been a common issue for the update?
View 20 Replies View RelatedI did the manual update to 2.0.1 this morning and just now realized that I wasn't getting any incoming email notifications for Gmail. I sent myself a test message from another account and it did not show up on my droid. i went into accounts and manually synced it and now all is well. So, if you notice this issue after the update, just manually sync your accounts and see if that solves it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo one of the cool things about Froyo is being able to check off Enable Automatic Update for market apps. So i have that checked off for like 80+% of my 80+ apps (that took a while to do let me tell you). Now i have had three apps have updates available since i checked off the box, yet they never actually automatically updated. I waited, hours, still never updated. Is there a setting i need to modify? Do i need to tell it what time of day to do it? Anyone else noticing this? I only really want it in apps that i don't care about reading the new features. But it is annoying that i have it enabled and it does nothing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently running NexBeast 0.1. I am having issues updating ROM manager in the market. I have v1.8.8.7 with ClockworkMod 2.0.1.3. Every time I try to update in the market, ROM manager downloads and then never tries to install. If I hit the cancel download button I get a FC from the market and when I re-open the market it's still stuck on cancel download.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy set CPU won't update to the new version on market I had a different app do this and I had to uninstall it and reinstall it to fix it. I'm hesitant to do that for this app cause its a paid app and I don't want to pay twice to reinstall it. Any ideas to fix this would be great.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just updated to version 2.1 and noticed my push Gmail wasnt working. I then went into the Google Mail application and can see its not showing any emails in the inbox and its not downloading any mail in "All items" either. Its only showing emails prior to the update. If I hit refresh it spins for a few moments and I see the data arrows indicate transfer but it doesnt refresh the inbox.
View 5 Replies View RelatedCan't find sling player in the market after the update to put it back on my machine. Anyone else have issues with missing apps in the market?
View 1 Replies View RelatedNo Market App. One thread will said to root and push it over, but I cannot do that as it is not my phone. What other solutions are there?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe market is telling me that it has an "update available" for an app that I have uninstalled quite a while ago. How can I let the market know that this app is not installed?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know if I just check for updates too often or the auto update doesn't work. I check so often and update it manually that I never give a chance to auto update. Has anyone received an auto update?
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter the 2.2 update, I am unable to delete the Trash Bin in my Gmail. It was there before, but now the only options are Labels and To Inbox.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been getting an error message all day. everytime I try to go into the market to update apps I get the message "A server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen." I can hit retry 42 million times and it will not connect.
I've rebooted, pulled the battery, cleared the cache, I even tried uninstalling the market updates; figuring that it would connect and I could re-update, but nothing has worked.
Some have complained about not being able to change the LED or get repeat notifications for gmail. I stumbled on this last night and thought I would share. I haven't tried it and make no claims to its greatness.Gmail Notifier. It lets you change the color of the LED, vibration length, and gives repeat notifications. It also works for multiple gmail accounts I believe.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have people that have gmail accounts on my phone. The problem is that some of them automatically links to that gmail account and others don't. For instance contact #1 has a gmail account I can see the picture that they update on their gmail account and statuses but contact #2 doesn't show anything from there gmail account. Is there a way to get this contacts to all link to there gmail, if they have a gmail account?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI did a search and did not find a clear cut answer for this, perhaps I overlooked it.I have a group set up in Gmail (which I set up on the computer). When I go into the Gmail App on my Droid, I cannot select the group in the "To:" field to send an email to the group. Does anyone know how to get this to work so I can compose a new email on my Droid to send to the group?I do not have this Group set up under my contacts, but it is a group created in Gmail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any non-market/market, fully functional free emulators I can download for older systems. I'm a broke college student.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since the update last weekend my gmail app will not sync automatically when I get emails into my account. . . I have to hit the menu / sync button every time I want to see if I have new emails. . . before the would come in and I would get a notification within seconds.
Gmail App / Menu / Settings / Email notifications/ is checked ON.
I don't know what to do. . .wish i never did the update.
I am unable to use Gtalk, gmail, Maps, Market, Email (all pre installed) using GPRS/EDGE (Vodafone Live) on my Milestone. But All of these works with Wi-Fi connection. I installed Meeboo Messanger, this is also not working with GPRS/EDGE.
I called Motorola Customer care, they are saying that I have to take a DataPlan from Vodafone and should ask Vodafone to activate all GPRS/EDGE settings on my mobile. So I took a DataPlan (200 Rs. 100 MB), Vodafone People are saying that all available setting are already activated on my cell. But I am still unable to use any of them above. Every time no network connection found error is coming.
When I load gmail in the android browser, at the top it says "Faster Gmail available! Update now" I click on "Update now" and it goes through an install of something. Anyway, after the install the "Faster Gmail available! Update now" is still there. It will NOT go away!!!
A popup also says to change settings of the new stuff it installs go to settings->gears settings. When I click on "gears settings" in the settings menu, nothing happens I cant open the settings. I think my gears install is f-ed up and unfortunately I dont think I can uninstall and reinstall the stock browser and Id rather not do a factory reset.
I've been rooted with Droid Mod forever and have never had any issues or never tried other roms it worked so I've stayed with it. Anyway I was screwing around trying to fix a problem and did a nandroid back up and and restore ( i'm clueless) Did not wipe info (that scares me) and I reflashed the rom a couple times because I kept selecting or deselecting the wrong things. Finally got everything perfect. The phone seemed to like the mini overhaul. But when I rebooted the market apk is gone. No where to be found. All my apps are there but no icon for market. Its just gone. Can I get that, download it desktop, mount, and drag to phone somewhere?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I downloaded the OTA update today without a hitch. I went to the Market today to finally download Pac-Man and maybe de Blob, but they're both missing. No big. I tried to do a search for them and...they aren't there. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had Skype a while ago but when I did the 2.1 ROM update I cant find it in the Android market? Is it because of the update or is it gone from the market.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe subject says it all. Market downloads and updates fine with wifi off, hangs forever with wifi on. I've seen other threads on this but no answer. I've had this issue non-rooted, and rooted.
